Deploying femtocells in macrocell network is an economical and reliable way to increase network coverage and efficiency. However, such deployment poses great challenges for the resource allocation of two tier femtocell networks due to the existence of inter-tier and intra-tier interference. We propose a uplink transmission resource allocation scheme with the goal of maximizing the total power efficiency. Nevertheless, the resource allocation optimization problem is NP-hard and non-convex, thereby, we adopt message passing (MP) method which approaches the optimality by iteratively passing the messages between each user equipments (UEs) and access points (APs). To reduce excessive number of iterations, we present two improved MP algorithms, i.e. best selection message passing (BSMP) algorithm as well as UE priority message passing (UPMP) algorithm. BSMP algorithm is optimal allocation algorithm which could avoid excessive number of iterations. Based on BSMP algorithm, UPMP algorithm take the UEs' priorities into consideration to ensure the fairness of resource allocation. Compared to existing schemes, simulation results show that improved MP algorithms have excellent convergences. Meanwhile, the vast improvements on power efficiency as well as weighted power efficiency have been demonstrated.

This paper proposes a novel Fast Deformable Model for Pedestrian Detection (FDMPD) to detect the pedestrians efficiently and accurately in the crowded environment. Despite of multiple detection methods available, detection becomes difficult due to variety of human postures and perspectives. The proposed study is divided into two parts. First part trains six Adaboost classifiers with Haar-like feature for different body parts (e.g., head, shoulders, and knees) to build the response feature maps. Second part uses these six response feature maps with full-body model to produce spatial deep features. The combined deep features are used as an input to SVM to judge the existence of pedestrian. As per the experiments conducted on the INRIA person dataset, the proposed FDMPD approach shows greater than 44.75 % improvement compared to other state-of-the-art methods in terms of efficiency and robustness.

In this study, it is the most appropriate modulation format for food free space optical (FFSO) system compared with other modulation schemes. Performance of BER for BPSK, DPSK and QPSK has been detail discussed under Gamma-Gamma turbulent channel with intensity scintillation and phase fluctuations. The closed average BER expression and channel capacity expression have been derived by adopting the method of generalized hypergeometric. From experiments show that BER and transmission power degraded seriously for the three kinds of modulation format owing to intensity scintillation and phase fluctuations. Comparing performance of the three modulation methods under the atmospheric turbulence, the results for the performance of BPSK and QPSK almost unanimously, in the case of an given SNR it is obvious that BPSK with lower BER. Therefore, BPSK modulation has a good BER and effective resist turbulent but the transmission power will not be increased.

To make use of the correlation among the samples, a method of individual radio transmitter identification based on collaborative representation is put forward in this paper. Firstly, we extract the square integral bispectra(SIB)features to characterise the radio transmitters in the feature space. Secondly, based on collaborative representation, we compute the sparse coefficients with low computational complexity. At last, benefiting from the discrimination information of coefficient, the classifier is constructed for the final individual radio transmitter identification. On the actual collected FM radio dataset, the experimental results verify the effectiveness and robustness of our method.

In the previous work, an interactive real-time user interface (RTUI), which is a reliable human-in-the-loop framework that allows human users to dynamically modify the parameters of network model during the simulation process, is investigated. However, the delay overhead of parameter re-configuration commands transmission is unavoidable, especially for a great amount of parameters in a large scale network model. In this paper, a programmable dynamic simulation interface (PDSI) is further proposed. With the proposed PDSI, each of the pre-programmed re-configuration commands is marked with a time label, and then all the commands are encapsulated as packets and sent to the simulator in advance. Depending on the time label, the re-configuration command is pre-cached in the event queue and precisely implemented according to the pre-programmed order, which eliminates the delay overhead of command transmission for the parameter changing of network model. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed PDSI compared to the RTUI.
