The positioning accuracy with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) depends on both the pseudorange error and the geometric dilution of precision (GDOP), and GDOP is depended on the geometry of user/satellites which are selected. Positioning with a GNSS needs at least four satellites which are visible for the user so that at least four pseudorange measurements can be provided to determine the user position in three dimensions and the receiver clock offset. In order to select as few as visible satellites whose geometry is better, a new fast satellite selection algorithm based on geometry is come up with by this paper through analyzing geometry characteristics of the optimal visible satellites combination. The expected visible satellites are selected based on the distribution characteristics of elevation angles and azimuth angles combined with tetrahedron volume. Taking GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO system for examples, this paper compares the algorithm proposed by this paper with the best geometry satellite selection algorithm through simulation. The simulation results show that the algorithm proposed by this paper solve the problem that there are a lot of matrix multiplications and matrix inversions in the best geometry satellite selection algorithm. So the new algorithm can reduce computational complexity and increase receiver processing speed. The theory of the algorithm is simple and easy to use. Meanwhile, the algorithm can satisfy the real time requirements for users.

This paper addresses the power con- trol problems of Cognitive Radio （CR） trader transmission power and interference tempera- ture constraints. First, we propose the interfer- ence constraint which ensures that the Quality of Service （QoS） standards for primary users is considered and a non-cooperative game power control model. Based on the proposed model, we developed a logical utility function based on the Signal-to-Interference-Noise Ratio （S/NR） and a novel algorithm network power control. that is suitable for CR Then, the existence and uniqueness of the Nash Equilibrium （NE） in our utility function are proved by the principle of game theory and the corresponding optimi- zations. Compared to traditional algorithms, the proposed one could converge to an NE in 3-5 iterative operations by setting an appropriate pricing factor. Finally, simulation results ver- ified the stability and superiority of the novel algorithm in flat-fading channel environments.

Generalization and propagation of spiraling Bessel beams with a helical axicon

A generalized type of spiral Bessel beam has been demonstrated by using a spatially displaced helical axicon （HA）. The topological charge of the spiraling Bessel beams is determined by the order of the input Laguerre Gaussian （LG） beam and the topological charge of the HA. The obtained spiraling Bessel beams have an LG type of modulation along their propagation direction and exhibit annihilation-reconstruction properties. Theoretical analysis is presented, including that of the stability, propagation distance, topological charge, and spiraling dynamic characteristics. The mathematical and numerical results show that the propagation distance and helical revolution of the spiraling Bessel beams can be controlled through choosing appropriate radius of the HA.

Bacteriorhodopsin (bR) is a light-sensitive protein which has a proton-pump function, and is found in the cell membrane of Halobacterium salinarum inhabiting the salt lake. Optical excitation of bR at an electrode-electrolyte interface generates differential photocurrents while an incident light is turned on and off. This unique functional response is similar to that seen in retinal neurons. This paper describes the fabrication and evaluation of the dip-coated bR thin films, photocurrent characteristics, and biomimetic artificial retinas with the bR thin films.

Detection of the boundaries of electrocardiogram (ECG) characteristic waves with a reasonable accuracy has been a difficult task. As a classical statistical pattern recognition algorithm characterized with high accuracy and stability, KNN has been proposed for locating the waveform boundaries (the onsets and offsets of P, QRS, and T waves) in ECG signals. First, the QRS-complex of each beat is detected from the ECG signal. Next, the onset and offset of each QRS complex are located. The P wave and T wave, relative to each QRS complex along with their onset and offset points, are then identified using this algorithm. Further, QRS duration, heart rate, QT-interval, P-wave duration and PR-interval have also been computed using ECG wave fiducial points. This algorithm is tested on the ECG dataset acquired using ATRIA ® 6100 ECG machine in our own laboratory. The results obtained using the proposed algorithm presented for the assessment of performance, has been compared with the output of inbuilt software based detector of ATRIA machine.

Influence of stimuli color on steady-state visual evoked potentials based BCI wheelchair control

In recent years, Brain Computer Interface (BCI) systems based on Steady-State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP) have received much attention. This study tries to develop a SSVEP based BCI system that can control a wheelchair prototype in five different positions including stop position. In this study four different flickering frequencies in low frequency region were used to elicit the SSVEPs and were displayed on a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) monitor using Lab-VIEW. Four stimuli colors, green, red, blue and violet were used to investigate the color influence in SSVEPs. The Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals recorded from the occipital region were segmented into 1 second window and features were extracted by using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). One-Against-All (OAA), a popular strategy for multiclass SVM, is used to classify SSVEP signals. During stimuli color comparison SSVEP with violet color showed higher accuracy than that with green, red and blue stimuli.

Electromechanical system deterioration from stable state to a non-stable state is a process of deterioration changes which are depended on the time series. It is beneficial to carry out safety protection in advance and implement predictive maintenance, and also to prevent accident occurrence by using fault prediction method to reveal the fault feature. A fault prediction method faced to internal combustion engine group based on Internet of Things (IOT) is researched. It's beneficial to improve the operation stability of key equipment group and promote the emerging IOT technology application in equipment maintenance. The fault prediction model mainly includes the system of remote online sample acquisition based on IOT, constructing fault prediction model coupling the physical information and numerical rules information of the mechanical systems, both to reflect the physical nature of the mechanical system, but also reflects the fault indicates numerical rules of the mechanical system. Fault feature is used to predict fault trend in order to ensure safe and stable operation of internal combustion engine group.

The power frequency in 50Hz and its harmonic interference is one of the main noise sources during the acquisition process of surface electromyogram signals (SEMG), how to restrain interference power frequency and its harmonics effectively is one of the important issues on the EMG preprocessing. In this paper, we will determine the power frequency interference and its frequency of the harmonic through the signal acquisition, make the cross-correlation by the constructor and the collected data, and determine its magnitude. We can draw a conclusion that this method can effectively restrain power frequency interference of EMG during the acquisition process through the comparison of the power spectrum of de-noising before and after. The Experiments show that this method can effectively separate the power frequency interference during the acquisition process, and is suitable for the real-time processing of EMG. © 2013 SERSC.

The moving object detection of the video image is the basis of sequence image analysis, and it is the research hot issue of today's foreign and domestic scholars. For detecting the moving object from the scene image in time, a detection algorithm of video moving object based on Gaussian mixture models is proposed in the paper. The pixel values are seen as the combination of the foreground Gaussian distribution and the background Gaussian distribution, and the background estimation and the adaptive background update will be put up. The statistical number of the foreground pixel of the current frame determines whether the light has a larger change, and it combines with the frame-difference method to detect moving object. The experimental results show that the algorithm can quickly and accurately establish the background model and accurately segment the foreground object.
