Semiconductor manufacturing (SM) system is one of the most complicated hybrid processes involved continuously variable dynamical systems and discrete event dynamical systems. The optimization and scheduling of semiconductor fabrication has long been a hot research direction in automation. Bottleneck is the key factor to a SM system, which seriously influences the throughput rate, cycle time, time-delivery rate, etc. Efficient prediction for the bottleneck of a SM system provides the best support for the consequent scheduling. Because categorical data (product types, releasing strategies) and numerical data (work in process, processing time, utilization rate, buffer length, etc.) have significant effect on bottleneck, an improved adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was adopted in this study to predict bottleneck since conventional neural network-based methods accommodate only numerical inputs. In this improved ANFIS, the contribution of categorical inputs to firing strength is reflected through a transformation matrix. In order to tackle high-dimensional inputs, reduce the number of fuzzy rules and obtain high prediction accuracy, a fuzzy c-means method combining binary tree linear division method was applied to identify the initial structure of fuzzy inference system. According to the experimental results, the main-bottleneck and sub-bottleneck of SM system can be predicted accurately with the proposed method.

In this work, a wide banded planar multi-input/output port Rotman lens for phase array antennas is investigated by simulation. The Rotman lens consists of lens and delay lines. With essential parameters, the outline of the lens is calculated by Matlab, in this way we can design a Rotman lens with certain functions, also the model is constructed by simulation software with the data imported from Matlab. The lens consists of the lens and the delay line. A useful segmented design of the delay line is applied to improve the transmission efficiency. A principle for dumpy port design is raised to improve the output characteristics. By this way, the magnitude error of different frequency is limited within 3 dB and below 5 dB when the port is changed. The lens offers a phase shift from -70 degree to +70 degree with a changeable step.

One class classification is widely used in many applications. Only one target class is well characterized by instances in the training data in one class classification, and no instance is available for other non-target classes, or few instances are present and they cannot form statistically representative samples for the negative concept. A two-step paradigm employing nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) and support vector data description (SVDD) for one class classification training of nonnegative data is developed. Firstly, a projected gradient based NMF method is used to find the hiding structure from the training instances and the training instances are projected into a new feature space. Secondly, SVDD is employed to perform one class classification training with the projected feature data. Classification examples demonstrate that the proposed method is superior to principal component analysis (PCA) based SVDD method and other standard one class classifiers. With emerging trend in technology wireless networks allow user to travel from one location to another. Mobile Adhoc network (MANET) is one of the subareas of wireless network that dynamically form infrastructure less temporary network. MANET is a collection of intercommunicating mobile nodes forming a temporary network without any centralized administration. Due to the dynamic property of mobile nodes in MANET, they require good routing protocol. An object tracking algorithm based on SURF is presented in this paper. Interest points are detected by SURF detector in reference region which is located in the first frame manually. In the following sequences, the SURF feature points are extracted in a larger window which is selected as test region. In the matching stage, we calculate the Euclidean distance between the descriptor vectors of interest points in the test image and ones in the reference image. The proposed algorithm is implemented on an embedded platform with TI's DM6446 high performance processor. The experimental results show that our system implements a real-time tracking with robustness against appearance variations, scale change, and cluttered scenes.
