In order to improve the performance of servo-valve and reduce its cost, a new type of piezoelectric hydroelectric servo-valve is developed. The electrical-mechanical converter of the servo-valve is constructed by piezoelectric bender, which also functions as baffle of the hydraulic amplifier made by double-nozzles-baffle. Dynamic and static characteristic tests are conducted on the piezoelectric bender developed. In line with the performance of the valve, the dimensions of its components are calculated. The characteristic test system for servo-valve is built and the servo-valve is tested with it. The results show that flux hysteresis loop is less than 2%, resolution is less than 0.5%, nonlinearity is less than 3.5%, and its band width is up to 140Hz. So the new type of piezoelectric servo-valve is characterized by good performance.

Diabetes Mellitus is a serious disease in which production and use of insulin in body is impaired, causing glucose concentration level to increase or decrease in the blood stream. The blood glucose level of the human body should be within the normal range of 70-110mg/dL. As the human body is highly non-linear, optimal multi-model controllers are designed based on PID controller and Genetic Algorithm (GA). The performances of the controller are compared based on settling time, peak overshoots and error criteria's such as Integral square Error (ISE), integral Absolute Error (IAE) and Integral Time Absolute Error (TTAE). The simulation results show that the GA based optimal controller is able to control the blood glucose regulation in Type I diabetic patient effectively.

This work presents a method to generate a multi-scroll chaotic attractor by switched fractional system. Based on two piecewise-linear nonlinear functions, sub-models are constructed with the system order less than one. The switched system can demonstrate n-scroll chaotic attractors if its parameters and switching rule are suitably chosen. By analyzing the lyapunov exponent and the stability of the system, It's illustrated that chaotic attractors can be obtained with system orders as low as 0.9. Finally, Numerical examples are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

In this paper, a new chaotic system is proposed. It also belongs to Lorenz system, which has three parameters and two nonlinear terms, and one of the parameters is the bifurcation parameter. The nonlinear dynamic properties of the system such as strange attractor, the largest Lyapunov index, fractal dimension, spectrum, power spectrum and bifurcation are researched via theoretical analysis and digital simulation. EWB software is used to design and simulate the circuit. The numerical and circuit simulation indicates the new nonlinear system proposed can show chaotic characteristics.

This paper presents an experimental apparatus for the decontamination and sterilization of water suspension of microorganisms and demonstrates the application of image analysis for the evaluation of decontamination efficiency by automatic counting of colonies on surface of cultivating medium. It was shown that the presented procedure of image analysis is adequate for this problem. The error of the automated cfu counting procedure is less than 5% in the comparison with manual counting. From the microbiological point of view it was found, that total inhibition of all four bacterial species and one of yeast occurs after 3 and 6 minutes of exposition to the corona discharge. Total inhibition of mould spores occurs after 20 minutes for one of used species only but it does not occurs even after 30 minutes of exposition for next two species under study.

Laser processing has excellent processing performance, making the laser processing technology used widely, bringing huge economic benefits. An efficient algorithm of circular scanning and the corresponding design and implementation in laser marking will be introduced in this article. The algorithm is based on mathematical morphological, and realized on Visual c++ and GDI+ platform. The distance of the scanning line we got in the original graphic is in accordance with our expectation, and the scanning time is not more than ***. Such stability and accuracy is originated from the core portion of the algorithm that is one-step scanning which makes each closed contour widen inspired by the thought of corrosion expansion algorithm and is aplicable to any curves so that assure reliability, such widen size is in accordance to scanning distance setted by users. Sonar images are susceptible to noise pollution that results in low contrast. And sonar image denoising technology is the key for subsequent target recognition. In this paper, an image denoising algorithm using wavelet transform was studied. Firstly, we constructed a morphological mean wavelet for gray image processing. Then the noisy sonar image was trained by the Hidden Markov Tree model in the morphological wavelet domain. According to the characteristics of the morphological mean wavelet, we classified multiresolution analysis of the noisy image in different directions, and removed noise according to the training result with Bayesian estimation. Finally, a desired denoising effect could be obtained by computing the average of different reconstructed images. Computer experiments show that our denoising algorithm can remove Gaussian noise of sonar image effectively. Compared with some classical wavelet denoising methods, image details are retained better.

In order to eliminate steady-state errors and chatter caused by quantization error of the conventional fuzzy controller, based on the self-adjustment of quantified proportionality factors fuzzy controller, this paper establishes the flexible fuzzy controller, and can achieve the online parameters self-adjusting function. This method is used in inflation process of pneumatic membrane structure, which enables the inflation process to produce the smooth change in flexible frequency conversion. The results show that the flexible fuzzy logic controller has fast response speed and small steady-state error, meanwhile the parameters change of the controlled object has some flexible adaptability.

In this study, a trajectory tracking control method of a mobile robot moving along a wall is proposed. The trajectory tracking control method consists of three control methods. The first one is a method that controls the mobile robot to move along a wall maintained constant. The second one is a method that controls the mobile robot to move along a wall in case of the wall direction changes. The third one is obstacle avoidance on a path. To measure a distance between the mobile robot and the wall, the changing direction of the wall and obstacles, we use a laser range finder. We developed a mobile robot which has two-driven wheels and the LRF to confirm the proposed method.
