In this study, the assessment of Radio Frequency (RF) emission energy deposition and analysis of antenna radiation characteristics in Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) 1900 MHz were conducted. The dipole antenna was used to evaluate destruction of far-field radiation pattern as well as input impedance, which closed proximate Specific Anthropomorphic Mannequin (SAM). The location of SAM closed to dipole antenna was classified into three relevant position types. The purpose is to assess SAM effects on characteristics of dipole antenna. The electromagnetic (EM) emission energy harm degree of human head tissue was also evaluated. Here, the evaluation of scattering and power absorption were also made. Up to now, the evaluation of electromagnetic emission energy absorption degree of human head tissue is only done by using near-field environmental measurement. However, in this study, using far-field environmental measurement to assess RF emission energy deposition of human head tissue was adopted. Finally, in the numerical method, Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) was used to compare with experiment results.

An unidirectional speed control of dc motor is more appropriate in some condition for specific application which is usually used by either buck converter or an unipolar switching mode of full-bridge converter. This paper is purposed to compare the common mode noise reduction ability of both buck converter and an unipolar switching mode of full-bridge converter. This comparison will help the driver design engineer to correctly select the dc motor driver for application must worry about the noise factor. With regard to an electromagnetic interference (EMI) causing in general dc-dc converters is necessary to determine the essential parameters in the circuit such as the parasitic capacitances of heat sink, a switching noise, an unbalanced characteristic of a circuit and so on. The general buck converter for dc motor drive usually uses unbalanced circuit topology between sending and returning power line. The unbalanced buck converter will generate the common mode current to flow through the parasitic capacitance of heat sink to a frame ground or chassis. This paper is also purposed to illustrate the common mode noise reduction ability of a full-bridge converter for dc motor drive. The most significant specific characteristic of a full-bridge converter is the simultaneous switching on and off of the two switching devices (Q1 and Q2 or Q3 and Q4) which are performed in both bipolar switching mode and unipolar switching mode operation. When the two switching devices are simultaneous operated on and off which has a dc motor to be existing between their switching actions, such a simultaneous switched performance is illustrated the characteristic of the active noise cancellation at the dc motor terminals. A contour extraction algorithm for a moving target is proposed. This algorithm consists of three steps. Firstly, motion segmentation is applied respectively to infrared and visible image sequences to get an initial contour of a moving target. Secondly, a dynamic contour is applied to make the initial contour converge to the target's contour. Finally, two novel image fusions are applied. The first fusion minimizes L2 norm's square of the difference of control point vectors in two modal images without image registration. The second fusion is realized by the modified differential coupling with image registration. Contrasting detection experiments indicate the second fusion is better. Meanwhile, a fast iteration algorithm of dynamic contour based on the Newmark method is devised. A contrasting experiment indicates its iteration time for stable convergence decreases by 21.01% compared with the Wilson-θ method.

In order to improve location precision and speed of base circle in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) detecting, an algorithm for circle subpixel location detection was presented. At first, the edge points could be obtained from edge detecting the filtered image using canny operator, then the circle approximately position and its parameter could be gained through dealing with the edge points using point Hough transformation;secondly, the circle's edge points could be got through deleting big noise points according to the circle's parameter, then the circle's subpixel edge points could be obtained from subdividing the circle's edge points;finally the circle's precision location and its parameter could be obtained through fitting the circle's subpixel edge points using least square method. The experiments demonstrate that this algorithm can detect the base circle's subpixel location and its parameter. The center location precision is up to 0.5 pixel, and the radius detection precision is up to 0.3 pixel, and the speed is very high.

One of the key challenges in telepresence and teleaction systems is the fact that a global control loop is closed over a communication network. The transmission delay of haptic information is extremely critical. Therefore, new data samples from the haptic sensors are typically immediately forwarded to the receiver which leads to a large number of packets being generated when using the Internet as the communication infrastructure. We present a novel approach to reduce the number of packets and, therefore, the amount data communicated in a telepresence and teleaction system. Our method uses a passive deadband transmission approach which only delivers data packets over the network when the sampled sensor data changes more than a given threshold value. The threshold value is determined by psychophysical experiments. This approach leads to a considerable reduction (up to 90%) of packet rate and data rate without sacrificing the fidelity and immersiveness of the system.
