The performance of next generation wireless systems (5G/6G and beyond) at the physical layer is primarily driven by the choice of digital modulation techniques that are bandwidth and power efficient, while maintaining high data rates. Achievable rates for Gaussian input and some finite constellations (BPSK/QPSK/QAM) are well studied in the literature. However, new variants of Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) such as Cross-QAM (XQAM), Star-QAM (S-QAM), Amplitude and phase shift keying (APSK), and Hexagonal Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (H-QAM) are not studied in the context of achievable rates for meeting the demand of high data rates. In this paper, we study achievable rate region for different variants of M-QAM like Cross-QAM, H-QAM, Star-QAM and APSK. We also compute mutual information corresponding to the sum rate of Gaussian Multiple Access Channel (G-MAC), for hybrid constellation scheme, e.g., user 1 transmits using Star-QAM and user 2 by H-QAM. From the results, it is observed that S-QAM gives the maximum sum-rate when users transmit same constellations. Also, it has been found that when hybrid constellation is used, the combination of Star-QAM & H-QAM gives the maximum rate. In the next part of the paper, we consider a scenario wherein an adversary is also present at the receiver side and is trying to decode the information. We model this scenario as Gaussian Multiple Access Wiretap Channel (G-MAW-WT). We then compute the achievable secrecy sum rate of two user G-MAC-WT with discrete inputs from different variants of QAM (viz, X-QAM, H-QAM and S-QAM).It has been found that at higher values of SNR, S-QAM gives better values of SSR than the other variants. For hybrid inputs of QAM, at lower values of SNR, combination of APSK and S-QAM gives better results and at higher values of SNR, combination of HQAM and APSK gives greater value of SSR. © 2023, CC BY.

As a vital part of the automotive electrical system, the connector pins support the transmission of electrical signals, data and power to ensure the correct connection and collaboration between the various components of the vehicle, and their quality and reliability are crucial to the performance, safety and reliability of the vehicle. Therefore, it is of great significance to study an automatic detection method for the connection pins of automobile connectors. The traditional connector needle detection mainly relies on manual method, due to the relatively dense distribution of the connector needle and the human eye is easy to fatigue and other factors. This method has the problems of high detection error rate, low accuracy and low efficiency. Therefore, this paper proposes an automatic detection method for connecting pins of automotive connector based on improved Yolov7 target detection. This method adds attention mechanism on the basis of Yolov7 target detection, which can be more suitable for small target detection. Finally, after the improvement, the results of the YOLOV7 target detection model training, mAP@0.5, reached 94.87%, and map@0.5:0.95, reached 75.28%. compared with the results before the improvement, mAP@0.5, 69.7%, map@0.5:0.95, 51.2%. Increases of 25.17% and 24.08%, respectively. It is proved that the improved model is more suitable for the detection of the connection pin of the auto-mobile connector. The detection rate of the final car connector pin is as follows: After the car connector pin is detected, the pin spacing is measured by the method of image processing in this paper, and the measurement accuracy meets the practical requirements. At the same time, the research content of this paper has laid the groundwork for other electrical and signal tests of automobile connector in the future. © 2024 IEEE.

In the calibration process of multi-camera system with large field of vie23, aiming at the problem of self occlusion in the plane calibration method and the problem of low calibration accuracy of one-dimensional calibration methods, a calibration method of multi-camera system based on the combination of plane target and one-dimensional target is proposed. Firstly, a mathematical model of multi-camera calibration is established with pin-hole model and rigid body transformation theory;the internal parameters and distortion coefficients of each camera are calibrated by two-dimensional plane target;on this basis, analyze the uncertainty of imaging error of circular feature points, cost function of random sample consensus algorithm(RANSAC) is improved. Using the camera imaging model, the essential matrix between cameras is estimated, and the initial value of camera external parameters is decomposed and determined;lastly, multiple nonlinear optimization algorithms are used to refine and obtain the camera matrix, The simulation and actual experimental results show that the multi camera system combination calibration method proposed in this paper can realize the parameter calibration of four camera measurement system, and the measurement space is 2000mm×2000mm×2000mm, the 3D reconstruction error is less than 0.15mm. Compared with the traditional calibration method, it has more accurate calibration accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

Adaptive filter is a kind of filter with high filtering accuracy that has the ability to adapt to the environment, adapt to the system and environmental changes, and has a wide range of applications in noise cancellation research. In this paper, we mainly utilize BP network for the filtering of adaptive algorithm, and build a BP neural network of 1-4-1 structure with 1 node in the input layer and 1 node in the output layer and 4 nodes in the hidden layer according to the basic principle of adaptive filtering, and explain in detail the method of creating, training and simulating the neural network, and establish the simulation model of adaptive filtering of the BP network based on Simulink. The simulation results verify that the adaptive filter can estimate the required statistical characteristics and automatically adjust its own parameters following the changes in the statistical characteristics. The BP neural network achieves the desired optimal filtering effect by adaptively changing the weight coefficients of the filter for the noisy signals, thus effectively eliminating the interference of the external signals and improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the input signals. © 2024 ACM.

As the functions of automobiles continue to increase and become more intelligent, the data exchange and communication between onboard electronic devices have become increasingly important. To ensure the reliability and stability of these systems in practical applications, it is necessary to manually simulate the testing and verification of ECUs with erroneous bus data packets. This paper designs a vehicular bus signal simulation device that can simulate the generation of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, CXPI, and SENT bus signals and their fault data packets. The hardware part of the device consists of an arbitrary waveform generator and an upper computer, while the software part uses QT to design the user interface and C++ to write the programmable software. Finally, experiments have verified the performance and accuracy of the simulation device. The waveforms captured by the digital storage oscilloscope are consistent with the expected input parameters, proving the effectiveness of the device. This device has significant application value in the development, teaching, and training of automotive electronic systems, capable of reducing the reliance on real-vehicle testing, and reducing test costs and time.

In recent years, image deraining has received extensive attention in image restoration and computer vision, and scholars mainly use it in fields such as video surveillance and autonomous driving. On rainy days, the rain marks will block the background of the scene, and the visibility of many scenes is low. In rainy images, the appearing alternately rain marks make it hard to differentiate between the background details and rain marks of the image, and the contrast and color of the target in the image will be attenuated to varying degrees, which leads to unclear expression of background information and makes some video or image systems unable to work properly. Therefore, it is very important to eliminate the influence of the rainy day on the scene of the image. This paper proposes the deraining network via the deep feedback based on the self-attention mechanism, the network uses feedback connections to feedback high-order information to low-order information and corrects the low-order information. Then inputs the image representation tensor fully processed by multiple feedback blocks into the self-attention mechanism, and the important features are fully extracted. The results prove that the network has strong reconstruction ability, and can generate clear and high-quality deraining images. © 2022 SPIE.

With the increase in the number of electric vehicles (EVs) connected to the power grid and the continuous increase in battery capacity, the disorderly charging of EVs will bring enormous pressure to the power grid, and even affect the operation of the power grid. Combining incentive-based and price-based demand response measures, this paper proposes two load poly and commercial (LPC) scheduling strategies for EVs: incentive-based electricity pricing and dynamic electricity pricing. First, according to different scheduling strategies, optimization is carried out for different EV groups. Second, the demand response measures are used as the dispatching channel between the load aggregator and the EV, and the load aggregator scheduling model is established with the goal of maximizing the net income of the load aggregator and balancing the load fluctuation. Simulation and verification are carried out through a numerical example, and the results show that compared with the traditional disordered charging mode, the scheduling strategy proposed in this paper can effectively improve the net income of the load aggregator while reducing the load fluctuation. © 2023, State Grid Electric Power.

The advent of powerful object detectors has led to the widespread adoption of the “tracking-by-detection” paradigm in multi-object tracking (MOT). However, challenges such as association errors during occlusions continue to hinder tracking performance. To address this issue, we propose three key improvements. First, we leverage the confidence scores generated by a detector with decoupled heads to weight the cost matrix. Second, we introduce a height-constrained intersection-over-union (IoU) distance metric. Finally, we classify the appearance features of objects in the current frame into two levels—high and low—based on their respective confidence scores. These features are then matched and updated against stored appearance embeddings from previous frames. Extensive comparative and ablation experiments conducted on the MOT17 dataset demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves tracking performance in multi-object tracking scenarios.

The task to estimate all the parameters of an unknown quantum state, also called quantum state tomography, is essential for characterizing and controlling quantum systems. In this paper, we utilize observable time traces to identify the initial quantum state of a closed quantum system, based on the state space approach in the control theory. In the informationally complete scenario, we show that with a linear regression estimation (LRE), the mean squared error (MSE) scales as , where N is the resource number. In the informationally incomplete scenario, we introduce regularization LRE to perform the state tomography task. We employ PBH test to demonstrate that closed quantum systems with only one observable are informationally incomplete and propose using observables, where d is the dimension of the quantum state, for informational completeness. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.
