Hydraulic technology with smaller sizes and higher reliability trends,including fault prediction and intelligent control,requires high-performance temperature and pressure-integrated *** designs rely on planar wafer-or chip-level integration,which is limited by pressure range,chip size,and low *** propose a small-size temperature/high-pressure integrated sensor via the flip-chip *** pressure and temperature units are arranged vertically,and the sensing signals of the two units are integrated into one plane through silicon vias and gold–gold bonding,reducing the lateral size and improving the efficiency of signal *** flip-chip technique ensures a reliable electrical connection.A square diaphragm with rounded corners is designed and optimised with simulation to sense high pressure based on the piezoresistive *** temperature sensing unit with a thin-film platinum resistor measures temperature and provides back-end high-precision compensation,which will improve the precision of the pressure *** integrated chip is fabricated by MEMS technology and packaged to fabricate the extremely small integrated *** integrated sensor is characterised,and the pressure sensor exhibits a sensitivity and sensitivity drift of 7.97mV/MPa and−0.19%FS in the range of 0–20 MPa and−40 to 120℃.The linearity,hysteresis,repeatability,accuracy,basic error,and zero-time drift are 0.16%FS,0.04%FS,0.06%FS,0.18%FS,±0.23%FS and 0.04%FS,*** measurement error of the temperature sensor and temperature coefficient of resistance is less than±1°C and 3142.997 ppm/℃,*** integrated sensor has broad applicability in fault diagnosis and safety monitoring of high-end equipment such as automobile detection,industrial equipment,and oil drilling platforms.

Outage Analysis of Energy Efficiency in a Finite-Element-IRS Aided communication System

In this paper, we study the performance of an energy efficient wireless communication system, assisted by a finite-element-intelligent reflecting surface (IRS). With no instantaneous channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, we characterize the system performance in terms of the outage probability (OP) of energy efficiency (EE). Depending upon the availability of line-of-sight (LOS) paths, we analyze the system for two different channel models, viz. Rician and Rayleigh. For an arbitrary number of IRS elements (N), we derive the approximate closed-form solutions for the OP of EE, using Laguerre series and moment matching methods. The analytical results are validated using the Monte-Carlo simulations. Moreover, we also quantify the rate of convergence of the derived expressions to the central limit theorem (CLT) approximations using the Berry-Esseen inequality. Further, we prove that the OP of EE is a strict pseudo-convex function of the transmit power and hence, has a unique global minimum. To obtain the optimal transmit power, we solve the OP of EE as a constrained optimization problem. To the best of our knowledge, the OP of EE as a performance metric, has never been previously studied in IRS-assisted wireless communication systems. © 2022, CC BY.

With the wide application of Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (QUAV) in military and civilian fields, its flight reliability problem has become a hot research topic. The propellers, which are the important components relating to the performance of QUAV, play a central role in safe flight. Traditional data-driven fault diagnosis methods of QUAV are based on Euclidean distance, which cannot effectively capture the interrelationship of multiple variables. In this paper, we treat the fault diagnosis of QUAV propeller as a node classification problem in non-Euclidean infinite dimensional space by introducing the method of Local-Global Attention-based Graph Neural Network (LGA-GNN). First, the graph topology is constructed using the KNN method based on the real flight log of the QUAV. Then, the local and global attention strategies are integrated to form a graph-based collaborative feature extraction model. Finally, a unified end-to-end fault diagnosis framework tailored for QUAV is proposed. In the experiment section, real flight data of QUAV with different propeller fault conditions are collected, and the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified by comparing with other methods based on real data.

Spectral technology is one of the key means for long-distance non-contact detection and identification of materials. It is an important force for ground-based detection satellites which can play a role in monitoring satellite operation status and safety, and identifying satellite types except for radar. However, for complex targets detected at ultra long distances, the detection object is equivalent to a point source, and the distribution of surface materials is not clear. Usually, material spectral unmixing can only focus on the distribution of planar materials, making it difficult to analyze the target structure. This article uses the spectral BRDF function to construct a hyperspectral ray tracing rendering 3D representation method based on the relationship between illumination, target surface normals, and detection points. It obtains a 3D rendering of a single material on a composite target, laying the foundation for analyzing the structural features of long-distance point target detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Background: Search and rescue in high-risk situations and searches in unknown environments pose certain threats to human life. The development of mobile robots with exploratory capabilities that can be adapted to complex sites with high mobility and high obstacle-crossing capabilities is, therefore, a research trend. Existing wheeled and tracked mobile robots have excellent locomotion, but they are less adaptable and less efficient when faced with complex terrain or outer space environments. Therefore, how to increase the obstacle-crossing ability and improve the movement efficiency of mobile robots have become a research hotspot in the field of mobile robotics. Objective: To introduce the classification, characteristics, and the development of the existing hopping robots. Methods: The various products and patents of hopping robots are summarized, and the structural features, differences, and applications of typical hopping robots are introduced. Results: By analyzing a variety of hopping robots, the typical characteristics and the current problems of hopping robots are analyzed, the development trend of hopping robots is prospected, the current research status of hopping robots is discussed, and the future prospects are carried out Conclusion: Hopping robots can be divided into mechanical energy driven, combustion energy driven and new energy-driven according to the drive energy sources. Depending on the drive energy used, jumping robots can achieve a jump height 0.5-30 times higher than their own size, and when combined with a specific mechanical structure design, they are highly explosive, have high mobility and can solve interstellar exploration, terrain exploration and rescue problems. Compared to mechanical energy driven technique, combustion energy-driven technique is two orders of magnitude more energy-intensive than even the highest performing batteries. When a light beam propagates through strongly scattering media, not only does its amplitude and phase distribution become scrambled, but its polarization state also becomes randomized. This depolarization effect imposes significant limitations on the applications of vector light fields in scattering environments. In this Letter, we propose a glare suppression-based method for achieving highly polarization-pure scattering light focusing. For the target polarization direction, we employ the transmission matrix method to calculate the optimized focusing mask. While in its orthogonal-polarization direction, we utilize singular value decomposition (SVD) of the transmission matrix to identify low-eigenvalue transmission channels and reconstruct the focusing mask. Experimentally, we demonstrate over 40-fold enhancement in focal polarization ratio compared to a conventional method. We believe our method provides an effective solution for controlling full-polarization output using single-polarization input, which will be of interest in the fields of wavefront shaping and structured light.

Artificial neural networks (ANN) have been shown to be flexible and effective function estimators for the identification of nonlinear state-space models. However, if the resulting models are used directly for nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC), the resulting nonlinear optimization problem is often overly complex due to the size of the network, requires the use of high-order observers to track the states of the ANN model, and the overall control scheme does not exploit the available autograd tools for these models. In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to auto-convert ANN statespace models to linear parameter-varying (LPV) form and solve predictive control problems by successive solutions of linear model predictive problems, corresponding to quadratic programs (QPs). Furthermore, we show how existing deep-learning methods, such as SUBNET that uses a state encoder, enable efficient implementation of MPCs on identified ANN models. Performance of the proposed approach is demonstrated by a simulation study on an unbalanced disc system.

Selection of Samples for Spectral Model Updating Based on Kernel Coefficients

The predictive performance of PLS models often diminishes for new samples outside the application domain and requires updating. The conventional approach involves augmenting the calibration set with new samples to accommodate changes. However, the efficiency of updating is hampered by the large number of samples in the old calibration set. To expedite the updating process, it is crucial to delete some samples, maintaining a balanced class ratio between old and new samples. Surprisingly, there has been a lack of discussion on how to select old samples thus far. This paper introduces a method known as Kernel Coefficient Selection (KCS), designed to obtain coefficients for each sample in the calibration model and subsequently identify crucial old samples. A large coefficient suggests the sample's significance and the need for retention. The rationale behind this method is grounded in the theory of the duality of two types of models (similarity-based and non-similarity-based). Removing samples with small coefficients from the calibration set still preserves the integrity of the major regression model. Comparative experiments were conducted between models that retained partial important samples and those involving all samples, using both simulated and real soybean meal datasets. The experimental results demonstrate that the KCS method mitigates the issue of number imbalance between old and new samples, thereby enhancing the efficiency of model updating. © 2024, The Authors. Telemedicine plays an important role in Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19).The virtual surgery simulation system,as a key component in telemedicine,requires to compute in ***,this paper proposes a realtime cutting model based on finite element and order reduction method,which improves the computational speed and ensure the real-time *** proposed model uses the finite element model to construct a deformation model of the virtual ***,a model order reduction method combining proper orthogonal decomposition and Galerkin projection is employed to reduce the amount of deformation *** addition,the cutting path is formed according to the collision intersection position of the surgical instrument and the lesion area of the virtual ***,the Bezier curve is adopted to draw the incision outline after the virtual lung has been ***,the simulation system is set up on the PHANTOM OMNI force haptic feedback device to realize the cutting simulation of the virtual *** results show that the proposed model can enhance the real-time performance of telemedicine,reduce the complexity of the cutting simulation and make the incision smoother and more natural.
