The Mechanical Stability for the Hand-Arm System

Research about transmission of the mechanical vibration done by machine-tools on the group of bones shoulder-neck-head

Different researches have shown that long–term exposure to whole–body vibration can induce different injuries like back pain, injuries of the different part of the body, disturbing the physical and intellectual activities. The resulted diseases could be occasional or could be for ever. Bearing in mind that vibration is applied on the hand or feet, the health rick can be assessed if the forces transmitted in the shoulder during vibration are known. To estimate the forces a biomechanical model has been developed in which the shoulder, neck and head are represented by rigid bodies. The bodies are connected by visco–elastic joint elements. The applied forces are resulted from experimental measurements. To assess the health risk the forces must be divised in two components, an ascendant one and a descendent one. Stability study of the human body-seat system into an autovehicle

The paper presents the study of the human body, as a mechanical system, seated inside an autovehicle and exposed under the vertical harmonic vibration action during the auto vehicle motion time. The human body may be roughly approximated by a linear lumped parameter at low frequencies and low vibration levels. Therefore, the model has 5 DOFs in translation, where 4 DOFs represents the human body and 1 DOF is for the seat cushion The mechanical model of the human body, in sitting position on the seat cushion of a vehicle seat, consists of four parts: pelvis, upper torso, viscera and head.. The eigenvalues for the human body – seat system and the damping ratio for the system was been calculate. The system stability analysis is given by the existence of a Lyapunov function for the system. The stability of a system can also be characterized by the eigenvalues of the system. Vibration using for the longitudinal elasticity modulus determination

Longitudinal elasticity modulus, E, is a material specific feature, which,. in general, is establish on the pieces by longitudinal stress. This procedure is possible to apply to the compact material but not to the sintered power parts (or porous material test pieces). For sintered parts, the establishing of Young's modulus, in this paper, it is proposed by transmition of mechanical vibrations along to the test pieces. The test pieces of compact or porous material were strained at longitudinal vibrations. It was establish the linkage between vibration and density, respective between the density and the value of the longitudinal elasticity modulus. Using the test pieces of compact material we realized the methodology to obtain the longitudinal elasticity modulus regarding the compact material, and in this way can be establish the possibility to measure with a good result the longitudinal elasticity modulus for the pieces of sintered powders or of porous material. The environment protection is one of the most actual problems, because of the fact that the pollution became a major danger for the planet life. The environment pollution is caused because some pollution agents are in a too big quantity and for la long time that they become dangerous for the human health, for the flora, for the fauna and for the constructions too. The pollution sources can be classified in natural and artificial sources. The quality of the environment from a specific area at a certain time can be appreciated by: a) the air quality;b) the water quality;c) the soil quality;d) the health level of the population;e) the deficit of animals and plants species that are accounted for. In the paper there are given the urban traffic on the principal routs inside the cluj-napoca municipality. The traffic is the constituent part of the research activity of the national project having the destination the monitoring of the noise and vibrations into an urban agglomeration, applied to the cluj-napoca town. This study is the first step for the "noise map" asked for the Romania integration in the European Union for the team researchers of TUCN under the direction of the prof. dr. ing. Mariana ARGHIR.

The paper contains our study regarding the reduction of urban noise using the sonic barrier walls as to the EMPARA procedure, which is based on the simplified standard method for measurements and computing of surface traffic noise inside urban agglomeration, as they are given in SRM2 laws (Netherlands standards). The studies are made taking into account all parameters that characterize the noise attenuation. The graphical representations are made considering "n-1" constant parameters, and one parameter varying with time. In this way we obtained the influence of each parameter in the diminution of the urban noise using the noise barrier walls. In addition we realized a measurement for a real barrier wall inside the city of Oradea. Our study also contains a FEM model for the analyzed configuration. The comparison between measurements and computation was fair enough, which means that our theoretical study is acceptable and characterizes the noise pollution and its diminution in the urban agglomeration. The measurement-device was a CENTER 322 Sound Lever Meter.

The present paper contains our study regarding the diminution of the urban noise using the phonique barrier walls conformed to the EMPARA procedure, which is based on the simplified of the standard method for the measurements and computes of the surface traffic inside the urban agglomeration, as they are given in SRM2 laws (Netherlands standards). There are made the studies taking into account all the parameters that characterize the the noise and they are graphical representations having the “n‐1” constant parameters and only one having the time variation law. In this way we are obtained the influence of each parameter in the diminution of the urban noise using the phonique barrier walls. In addition we realized a measurement for a real barrier wall inside the Oradea town. The comparison between them was enough good, that means our theoretical study is correct and characterizes the noise pollution and its diminution on the urban agglomeration. The measurement device was a CENTER 322 Sound Lever Meter. This study contains the two steps for the “noise map” asked for the Romania integration in the European Union, and was made by the researchers of the Oradea university under the direction of the Prof. Dr. Ing. Mariana ARGHIR from the technical university of cluj‐napoca.

Model predictive control (MPC) is an optimization-based approach that has been successfully applied to a wide variety of control problems. In most of nonlinear strategies, the controllers are based on linear models with fixed parameters so that the vast body of linear control theory can be applied. Other solutions include the use of a nonlinear analytical model, combinations of linear empirical models, etc. This paper presents an MPC algorithm which uses on-line simulation and rule-based control. The aim of this paper is to show the usefulness of the multicriteria approach to optimize the Parallel Kinematic Machines (PKM). Variations of the kinematic performances index remain not constant throughout workspace. Aiming to deal at the same time with multiple criteria in optimal design of PKM, we have developed a Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm (MOGA) using concepts of Pareto optimality and niching techniques. The obtained results have shown that the use of MOGA in such kind of optimization problem enhances the quality of the optimization outcome, providing a better and more realistic support for the decision maker.
