The practical use of Preisach hysteresis model is based on proper identification of weighting function that characterizes the material. Obtaining of the weighting function needs two partial derivations of two-dimensional flux density function, called Everett surface, measured by specific procedure. Since the derivatives require exact measurements, the possible source of errors are studied. Main method is to compare experimental results and simulation. The comparison showed that the excitation current source accuracy influences the quality of Everett surface. Also the numeric integration drift plays an important role. The random or systematic failure in excitation current results in the minor secondary loops on the main hysteresis loop. Simulations of these effects confirmed the predicitons. As practical output it was found that the errors in excitation can be reduced by repeated measurements. The drift can be eliminated, if a more suitable wavefrom is used.

This article makes an effort to explain physical and energy aspects of practice using magneto therapy in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. We are presenting the principles of electromagnetic induction in muscle tissue as a typical example of parts of human body. The main goal of these analyses is to warn about physical and energy differences among individual types of power sources of magnetic field and their dynamic behaviour. In theory the problems are indicated with modelling of low dynamic magnetic field in the living tissue.

Providing a desired level of customer service in the business is an important part of logistics management. The role of logistics is to provide transport right material in the right quantities and the right quality to the right place. The problem arises when harmonization logistics requirements. This article focuses on solving the problem of increasing the level of customer service through effective material transport, handling and storage. The first part focuses and compares different types of warehouses and the order picker's inventory management technologies. The second part is devoted to logistics and supply. Warehouse management and transport of the material is connected with tractive control system that reacts flexibly to changes in customer requirements. Authors in solving based on the results of realized survey of the current situation in enterprises in the described areas.

A New Robust Controller Formulation for the Full–State Feedback Position Tracking of a Small–Scaled Unmanned Model Helicopter

This work focuses on the robust attitude tracking control problem for a small– scaled unmanned helicopter where the actual system inputs, namely the elevator servo input, the aileron servo input and the rudder servo input, are used in the controller formulation. The design process is divided into two parts. Initially the problem is transformed into a second order system with an uncertain non–symmetric input gain matrix by utilizing some reasonable simplifications for the rotor model under the hovering flight conditions. Then a novel robust control methodology is utilized via a matrix decomposition method. The stability of the overall system is ensured by Lyapunov type analysis where asymptotic position tracking is ensured. Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method. © 2017

The optimal energy balance and effective using of mobile electric devices supplied from traction power supplies is the most limiting qualities in practice. The inconvenient combination or choice of different motors, batteries or supercapacitors is very often designed from the view of functionality mainly and energy balance is solved as the second step. This paper shows power-energy design of all-purpose mobile container platform for application in factory buildings. This presented design will be realized in interoperation logistics in manufacturing. © 2016

The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is growing rapidly across many civil application domains including realtime monitoring, providing wireless coverage, remote sensing, search and rescue, delivery of goods, security and surveillance, precision agriculture, and civil infrastructure inspection. Smart UAVs are the next big revolution in UAV technology promising to provide new opportunities in different applications, especially in civil infrastructure in terms of reduced risks and lower cost. Civil infrastructure is expected to dominate the more that $45 Billion market value of UAV usage. In this survey, we present UAV civil applications and their challenges. We also discuss current research trends and provide future insights for potential UAV uses. Furthermore, we present the key challenges for UAV civil applications, including: Charging challenges, collision avoidance and swarming challenges, and networking and security related challenges. Based on our review of the recent literature, we discuss open research challenges and draw high-level insights on how these challenges might be approached. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. The work describes a first-principles-based computational strategy for studying structural phase transitions, and in particular, for determination of the so-called Landau-Devonshire potential—the classical zero-temperature limit of the Gibbs energy, expanded in terms of order parameters. It exploits the configuration space attached to the eigenvectors of the modes frozen in the ground state, rather than the space spanned by the unstable modes of the high-symmetry phase, as done usually. This allows us to carefully probe the part of the energy surface in the vicinity of the ground state, which is most relevant for the properties of the ordered phase. We apply this procedure to BiFeO3 and perform ab initio calculations in order to determine potential energy contributions associated with strain, polarization, and oxygen octahedra tilt degrees of freedom, compatible with its two-formula unit cell periodic boundary conditions.

Rapid increase of the renewable energy share in electricity production requires optimization and flexibility of the power consumption side. Thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) have a large potential for regulation service provision. Economic model predictive control (MPC) is an advanced control method which can be used to syncronize the power consumption with undispatchable renewable electricity production. Thermal behavior of TCLs can be described by linear models based on energy balance of the system. In some cases, parameters of the model may be time-varying. In this work, we present a modified economic MPC based on linear parameter-varying model. In particular, we provide an exact transformation from a standard economic MPC formulation to a linear program. We assume that the variables influencing the model parameters are known (predictable) for the prediction horizon of the controller. As a case study, we present control system that minimizes operational cost of swimming pool heating system, where parameters of the model depend on the weather forecast. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is able to deal with this kind of systems.

We propose a novel technique for the extraction of one independent component from an instantaneous linear complex-valued mixture of signals. The mixing model is optimized in terms of the number of parameters that are necessary to simultaneously estimate one column of the mixing matrix and one row of the de-mixing matrix, which both correspond to the desired source. The desired source is assumed to have a non-Gaussian distribution, while the other sources are modeled, for simplicity, as Gaussian-distributed, although in applications the other sources can be arbitrary. We propose an algorithm that can be interpreted as a blind self-steering Minimum-Power Distortionless Response (MPDR) beamformer. The method is compared with the popular Natural Gradient algorithm for general Independent Component Analysis. Their performances are comparable but the proposed method has a lower computational complexity;in examples, it is about four times faster.
