The solid-phase diffusion coefficient is a crucial parameter for understanding material properties and battery performances. The widely used galvanostatic intermittent titration technique (GITT) suffers from systematic errors due to its assumption of linear diffusion and the nonlinearity of open-circuit potential. We propose a surface concentration potential response (SCPR) method as a more accurate and comprehensive solution. The SCPR method employs a realistic 3D radial diffusion model and extracts the instantaneous solid-phase diffusion overpotential, achieveing the first measurement of the changes in particle surface concentration, to estimate the solid-phase diffusion coefficients. Validation experiments with NCM523 demonstrate that the 3D radial diffusion model reduces the estimation error of solid-phase diffusion coefficients to below 0.15%, with the error decreasing as current increases. Compared to GITT, the solid-phase diffusion coefficients obtained using this method showed a 40% reduction in error. The presented method also offers a novel approach to determining lithium-ion concentration at the particle surface. Its independence from current magnitude and its superior capability in measuring surface concentration make it broadly applicable to a range of electrochemical challenges. © 2024, The Authors. Thin film solar cells have been proved the next generation photovoltaic devices due to their low cost,less material consumption and easy mass *** them,micro-crystalline Si and Ge based thin film solar cells have advantages of high efficiency and ultrathin absorber *** individual junction devices are limited in photoelectric conversion efficiency because of the restricted solar spectrum range for its specific *** this work,w e designed a nd simulated a multi-junction solar cell with its four sub-cells selectively absorbing the full solar spectrum including the ultraviolet,green,red as well as near infrared range,respectively.B y tuning the G e content,the record efficiency of 24.80%has been realized with the typical quadruple junction structure of a-Si:H/a-Si0.9Ge0.1:H/μc-Si:H/μc-Si0.5Ge0.5:*** further reduce the material cost,thickness dependent device performances have been *** can be found that the design of total thickness of 4μm is the optimal device design in balancing the thickness a nd the *** the design of ultrathin quadruple junction device with total thickness of 2μm is the optimized device design regarding cost and long-term stability with a little bit more reduction in *** results indicated that our solar cells combine the advantages of low cost and high *** work may provide a general guidance rule of utilizing the full solar spectrum for developing high efficiency and ultrathin multi-junction solar cells.

Consider the nonlinear estimation fusion problem for dynamic stochastic process in sensor networks. Due to bandwidth or energy constraints, only quantized messages of the original information from local sensor are available. For a class of vector state-vector observation model, a quantized cubature particle filter (CPF) method is presented in this paper. Firstly, each sensor quantizes each component of the measurement verbatim and sends to fusion center (FC). Subsequently, FC compresses the quantized messages from local sensors in best linear unbiased estimation (BLUE) fusion rule. Finally, CPF is used to obtain a state estimation. Computer simulations show effectiveness of the developed method.

This paper addresses the random time-delays and packet losses issues of networked control systems （NCS） within the framework of jump linear systems with mode-dependent time-delays. A new delay-dependent condition on the stochastic stability is proposed by a new stochastic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. The condition is formulated as a set of coupled linear matrix inequalities （LMIs）. As an example to verify the proposed method, an inverted-pendulum system with network is considered. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.

Due to the bandwidth limitation as well as workload variations in today's networked control systems (NCSs), available network resources for control applications are prone to be scarce. With traditional static schedule, the quality of control (QoC) could be significantly degraded. To attack the problem of network scheduling in a NCS with several control loops, a network scheduler that can be easily implemented in existing networked control applications is presented. The objective is to improve the overall system performance via dynamic resource allocation. Following the newly emerging methodology of feedback scheduling, the control requirements are integrated in the scheduling of the shared network. As a novel approach to allocating network resources, the proposed network scheduler dynamically adjusts control loops' priorities according to their current urgency values. Preliminary simulation results highlight the advantages of the proposed approach.

As to the uncertainty of paper machine in practice, this paper develops multisensor robust H/sub /spl infin// state fusion estimation method to increase the estimation performance of paper basis weight based on LMI theory. The results of experiments show the application of information fusion theory can develops the estimation performance, especially, the performance of state estimation can keep well even when the sensor fails.

Sequential circuit design technology is the base of digital circuit design such as programmable logic device and micro-controller interface. The sequential circuit design includes two basic problems: logic synthesis and time problems. Usually the digital circuit text introduces logic synthesis, but until now there is no systemic theory to study time problems. The following text would put forward a max-plus algebra based analyzing and designing method for time problems. This is a novel systemic theory to compute the time parameters of sequential circuit. In the end, a simple example would show the design process of the new method.

Recent advances in wireless sensor networks (WSN) have led to many new protocols specifically designed for different kinds of applications where energy efficiency is an essential consideration. Most of the attention, however, has been given to the medium access control (MAC) protocols since they pay an important role in wireless communications and traditional MAC protocols are not suitable for WSN. This paper tries to survey recent energy efficient MAC protocols for WSN and presents a classification of the various approaches pursued. The four main categories explored in this paper are scheduling based, collision free, contention based, and hybrid schemes. Several energy-efficient MAC protocols are described and discussed under the appropriate category. Moreover, requirements for the MAC layer in WSN are also discussed. The paper concludes with open research issues in the end.

Global competition and rapidly changing market requirements pose significant challenges for traditional control system engineering. To achieve systematic reuse in control system engineering, a framework-based approach is presented. Framework technology promotes reusing both architecture and components, thereby benefiting the whole lifecycle of control systems. An architecture that mainly consists of HMI, engineering tool, function block repository, and intelligent devices is proposed, which enables architecture level reuse. The component model with IEC61499 is introduced as the building block. The framework-based engineering methodology integrates new technologies in software engineering with IEC61499, and provides design pattern level reuse. An illustrative example of control system development for a water tank is presented, using the framework-based approach.
