Visualization is critical in power systems engineering since the gigantic amount of data generated by power systems is difficult,and at times impossible,to be analyzed numerically. Therefore,the need for powerful visualization software has been increasingly acute due to the growth in size of power system models. To improve PPV’s performance in order to accompany larger systems,this paper focuses on the development of PPV (Perfect Power Visualization),a 2-D power system visualization software program that processes and conver ts numerical data to graphic symbols based on their types,positions and states. The goal of PPV is to let operators visualize and interact with large-scale power systems in a consumer lever personal computer in real time. Also,it was optimized again with smarter data management systems,refinement of overall structure,and a newer platform that enables GPU acceleration,all of which further increased the performance of PPV by a factor of ten times that of its initial capabilities.

The development of mobile Internet and application store accelerates the spread of malicious applications on smartphones, especially on Android platform. In this paper, we propose an integrated Android malware detection scheme, combining permission and behavior analysis. For APK files which had been detected, their MD5 values are extracted as signature for detection. For APK files which had not been detected, detection is carried based on permission and behavior analysis. Behavior analysis contained taint propagation analysis and semantic analysis. Experiment results show that this system can detect the malware of privacy stealing and malicious deduction successfully.

P-homomorphic signature is a general framework for computing on authenticated data, which is recently proposed by Ahn et al. With P-homomorphic signature, any third party can derive a signature on the object message m′ from a signature of m, if m′ and m satisfy P(m,m′) = 1 for some predicate P which denotes the authenticatable relationship between m′ and m. Ahn et al. proposed a RSA P-homomorphic signature scheme by using a RSA accumulator, which is very efficient in space. However, the computational cost of verification and derivation is very heavy. We present an improved P-homomorphic signature scheme based on factoring problem. In our construction, the time efficiency of both verification and derivation are much better than Ahn's scheme. © 2013 ICST institute for computer Science, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

The intrusion detection system and technology of classified layered-wireless sensor network was able to meet the high safety requirements of wireless sensor network, it is urgent for us to improve the identification and generalization of detection system about characters of intrusion. In this paper, we design an intelligent intrusion detection system which realizes intelligence, the effective and direct way was to add the methods, and it was used for identification and generalization of intrusion characters to the Agent function of intrusion detection. It could obtain credible judgment by updating and examining the database for the actions which the general misuse detection or anomaly detection was not sure if the intrusion was formed. © 2013 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan.

The main goal of data-aggregation algorithms in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is to gather and aggregate data in an energy efficient manner so that network lifetime is enhanced. In this article, we focus on QoS-based data-aggregation problems in WSNs. Firstly, we provide a definition of the different QoS parameters for data aggregation, such as energy efficiency, network lifetime, data latency and data quality. Then, we compare the different algorithms on each QoS parameter, describe the main features of each algorithm, and highlight the trade-offs between each parameter. Finally, we conclude with possible future research directions on QoS-based data aggregation in WSNs.

To bridge the gap between limited energy supplies of the sensor nodes and the system lifetime, duty-cycle Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) with data aggregation are studied in this paper. We proposed a load-balanced and latency-efficient data aggregation scheduling for duty-cycled WSNs. A shortest path tree (SPT) is used as the routing structure for data aggregation scheduling. In SPT, parent-children assignments are well-designed to assign nodes from level h+1 to the parents at level h such that every parent has a balanced load, while reducing the sleep latency which is a period of time for a sender to wait for its parent to be active. Finally, through the simulation and comparisons, we prove the effectiveness of our approach. © 2012 IEEE.

Algebraic Multi-grid (AMG) method is analyzed and is combined with the graph cut method to extract the texture feature of the image. AMG method can extract more information about the singularities in the image. The data in the coarse grid is utilized to reconstruct the image and the reconstruct result approximates to the original image well. On the basis of the analysis on the AMG method, an energy function is constructed for the texture feature and minimized using max-flow method. Experimental results show that the proposed method can extract more texture details accurately. © 2012 by Binary Information Press.

Cloud computing is an active and prosperous field of computer science, both academically and industrially. Meanwhile, security is one of major concerns that may prevent the wide acceptance of cloud computing. In particular, as the key technique behind cloud computing, virtualization may be vulnerable to many attacks. In this paper, we review and classify the state-of-the-art virtual machine security techniques according to their roles in the virtual machine architecture, i.e., at the hardware level, as the hypervisor and inside the virtual machines. Finally, we discuss additional problems that remain to be addressed. © 2012 by Binary Information Press.

Fractional differential is used to adjust the affinity matrix of the image and to extract more useful edge and texture information. A graph is constructed for the original image with edge and texture information calculated with fractional differential, and the Laplacian matrix is obtained and the eigenvector corresponding to the second eigenvalue is classified to get the final segmentation results. Experimental results show that the proposed method can extract more fine details, preserve more useful information and get more accurate results. © 2011 IEEE.
