Excell is a Reader in Applied Electromagnetics at the University of Bradford where he has been a member of the academic staff since 1979. He obtained the B.Sc. degree in engineering science from the University of Reading in 1970 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Bradford in 1980. He is Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers a Senior Member of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers and a founder member of the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society. Gary J. Porter has been a Lecturer in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the Univeristy of Bradford since 1989. He obtained the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 1986 and the M.Eng. in 1987 both from the University of Bradford. He is currently completing a Ph.D. thesis on the application of parallel processing to real-time image generation. Yuet K. Tang was a postgraduate student at the University of Bradford receiving the M.Sc. degree in communications and real-time electronic systems in 1991. He now works in Hong Kong. Kun W. Yip was an undergraduate student at the University of Bradford receiving the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 1992. He is now a Ph.D. student at Hong Kong University.

He obtained his B.A. Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Ottawa Ottawa Ontario Canada in 1987 and 1989 respectively. Mr So was a research engineer in the University of Ottawa from January 1989 to October 1991 his research interests included CAD techniques of microwave circuits and numerical methods for electromagnetic wave modelling. He specialized in the development of electromagnetic engineering CAD software and successfully implemented a number of electromagnetic wave simulators based on the two-dimensional and three-dimensional transmission-line matrix methods. From August 1990 to February 1991 he accompanied Professor W. J. R. Hoefer to Rome Italy and Sophia Antiopolas France. During that time he implemented a parallel version of the 3D-TLM simulator for the CM-2 Connection Machine using C-Star and X Windows Library. He is a research engineer and a Ph.D. student at the University of Victoria Victoria British Columbia Canada. He ported the 2D- and 3D-TLM simulators to DECmpp 1200 massively parallel computer using MPL C and C++. He also combined OSA90/hope a commercially available microwave CAD program with a 2D-TLM simulation module for geometry optimization using the Datapipe technique of OSA90/hope. Recently he has developed a distributed client-server computing technique for the TLM method this technique could accelerate the TLM simulation by more than an order of magnitude. Channabasappa Eswarappa received the M.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur India in 1983 and Ph. 作者: BECKER, LOUIS A. SIEGRIST, FRANKLIN I. Louis A. Becker was born in New Rochelle N.Y. in 1930 receiving his earlier education in the New Rochelle Public Schools. He completed his undergraduate studies at Manhattan College in 1952 receiving his BCE degree during which time he was also engaged in land surveying. Following this he did postgraduate study at Virginia Polytechnic Institute obtaining his MS in 1954. He joined Naval Ship Research and Development Center in 1953 as a Junior Engineer and is currently the Head of the Engineering & Facilities Division Structures Department. His field of specialization is Structural Research and Development. Franklin I. Siegrist was born in Knoxville Tenn. in 1937 receiving his earlier education in the Public Schools of Erie Pa. He attended Pennsylvania State University graduating in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering having prior to that time served four years in the U. S. Navy. He was a Junior Engineer in the AC Spark Plug Division of General Motors from 1962 until 1964 at which time he came to the David Taylor Model Basin as an Electrical Engineer in the Industrial Department. He is currently Supervisory Engineer for Electrical and Electronics Engineering Structures Department Naval Ship Research and Development Center. His field of specialization is Electrical Engineering Control Systems Data Collection Systems Computer Applications to Structural Research and Hydraulic System Design. In the last of these he holds Patent Rights on a “Hydraulic Supercharge and Cooling Circuit” granted in 1970.
