We consider the problem of target range-angle imaging using distributed arrays. High resolution imaging requires a large array aperture. However, due to the limited number of array elements, the subarrays are usually sparsely located, which results in severe under-sampling and ambiguity problem, degrading the imaging performance. To this end, we propose a range-angle imaging method based on the prior of target scattering characteristic to resolve the ambiguity. The main idea is to use the information increment of priors to reduce the dependence on the measurements. Particularly, we first statistically extract the prior distribution of target scattering intensity by data analysis on the target images. Then we use these priors to design weighting parameters and achieve the ambiguity-free images by solving a weighted sparse recovery problem. Finally, numerical simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

In order to solve the problem of track slab crack detection under few samples’ conditions, this paper proposes a track slab crack detection algorithm with few samples based on deep learning. Firstly, after extracting multi-scale query and support features through the Swin Transformer backbone, the similarity between query pixels and support pixels is computed according to the scaled dot-product attention of the Transformer architecture, and the query masks are aggregated; in order to filter a large amount of irrelevant background information in the crack image, multi-scale prototypes are computed by using prototypical learning, highlighting the class information of the cracks, and introducing a lightweight attention module to generate class-representative attention feature maps using support features at different scales, which guides the network to focus its attention on the target region; finally, the final prediction of cracks is realized by the feature fusion module. The experimental results show that the track slab crack IoU reaches 66.94% and the FB-IoU reaches 83.02% under the few samples’ condition and exhibits strong generalization performance on the crack set of other scenarios as well.

This paper addresses formation control of quadrotor swarms subject to external time-varying disturbances and actuator failures, while ensuring collision avoidance. Firstly, a complete dynamics model incorporating translational movement, rotation, motor, and actuator failures was developed for each quadrotor. Then, nominal controllers for the position and attitude subsystems are designed separately to achieve formation control under ideal conditions. A higher-order sliding mode (HOSM) observer is implemented to effectively estimate and compensate for external disturbances and actuator bias faults, thereby improving the stability of the system. Next, a potential energy function-based collision avoidance mechanism is implemented to ensure inter-quadrotor collision avoidance. Furthermore, a fault detection and fault-tolerant control(FTC) method is designed to estimate the lift coefficient of actuator partial failures online in real time by employing Newtons correction method, which ensures the safe and reliable flight of the system. The stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed using Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, numerical simulations and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) experiment results are performed to validate the approach's effectiveness and performance in quadrotor swarm formation control. © 2025 IEEE. Recent studies have shown the vulnerability of CNNs under perturbation noises, which is partially caused by the reason that the well-trained CNNs are too biased toward the object texture, i.e., they make predictions mainly based on texture cues. To reduce this texture-bias, current studies resort to learning augmented samples with heavily perturbed texture to make networks be more biased toward relatively stable shape cues. However, such methods usually fail to achieve real shape-biased networks due to the insufficient diversity of the shape cues. In this paper, we propose to augment the training dataset by generating semantically meaningful shapes and samples, via a shape deformation-based online augmentation, namely as SDbOA. The samples generated by our SDbOA have two main merits. First, the augmented samples with more diverse shape variations enable networks to learn the shape cues more elaborately, which encourages the network to be shape-biased. Second, semantic-meaningful shape-augmentation samples could be produced by jointly regularizing the generator with object texture and edge-guidance soft constraint, where the edges are represented more robustly with a self information guided map to better against the noises on them. Extensive experiments under various perturbation noises demonstrate the obvious superiority of our shape-bias-motivated model over the state of the arts in terms of robustness performance. In the motion control system, input shaper is often used to suppress the residual oscillation of high-precision positioning system, but the selection of input shaper parameters is difficult. In view of the difficulty of selecting input shaper parameters, this paper proposes to use genetic algorithm to select the parameters of input shaper. Firstly, the input shaper is designed in the light of the three-loop mathematical model of motor;Secondly, because the genetic algorithm directly optimizes the output of the motor and the algorithm can reduce the influence of the deviation of generator parameters on the parameter selection of the input shaper to a certain extent, the parameters of the input shaper are selected by the genetic algorithm to optimize the output of the motor;In the finish, a comparative experiment between a system with input shaper and a system with simple PID control is carried out. The results show that the optimized system can obtain higher robustness and smaller tracking deviation. © 2022 IEEE.

A magneto-quasi-static (MQS) surface integral equation (SIE) formulation with loop analysis is proposed to extract the impedance of interconnects in packages. The loop analysis is developed with an independent and complete set of unknowns according to the graph theory, which can significantly reduce the dimension of the final matrix. With the pre-corrected fast Fourier Transform (pFFT), large-scale interconnects can be efficiently modelled. A practical example in packages is carried out to validate the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed formulation. Results show that the proposed formulation is accurate and flexible to model complex interconnects in packages compared with the industrial solver.

Multi-target Tracking (MTT) is the process of processing received measurements to maintain estimates of the current status of multiple targets, with important applications to autonomous driving, aerial reconnaissance, underwater operations, and others. In the model-based setting, Bayesian filtering can provide the theoretical optimal estimate in a single target scenario. However, in complex situations, uncertain factors such as changes in the number of targets will cause the amount of calculation to increase exponentially, resulting in a decline in tracking accuracy. To solve that problem, model-free methods based on deep-learning provide an attractive alternative, especially the state-of-the-art architecture Transformer based encoder-decoder prediction model, which outperforms the Bayesian filters in the single frame prediction tasks. However, when switching to continuous tracking, these algorithms need to be trained separately frame by frame to adapt to the new tasks. Still, there is no correlation between their predictions from different frames, which prevents them from fully utilizing all the measurements. In this paper, we propose an end-to-end Transformer based MTT method with state autoregression, which allows the model to have the capability of online continuous tracking and make total use of the entire trajectory. The results show that the proposed model is a great extension from single-frame prediction to online continuous tracking.

The performance of dynamic control is intimately tied to modeling accuracy. However, traditional estimation methods and friction models, such as the least squares method and the Coulomb plus viscous model, fail to reflect the actual characteristics accurately. Particularly, the linear nature of the Coulomb plus viscous model overlooks the nonlinear static features of joint friction at slower velocities. To improve the rationality of the model structure, we integrate the Stribeck friction model into the Coulomb plus viscous model. However, introducing such nonlinearities compromises the applicability of the least squares method. As a countermeasure, we propose a new strategy that combines the least square method and the Quasi-Newton iterative method to identify the parameters of the modified nonlinear model. Additionally, the design of the excitation trajectory is critical to achieve high identification accuracy. We utilized the inverse of the smallest singular value of the observation matrix as the objective function. By minimizing it with the interior point method, we generate the excitation trajectory well-suited to stimulate dynamic characteristics. Then we leverage the discrepancies between the measured and estimated torques to assess the precision of the dynamic parameters of the manipulator. Remarkably, our proposed algorithm reduces the mean absolute error of the estimated torque by over 20.40%. Finally, an experiment of the industrial manipulator by hand guiding grab and drag is performed and shows that the proposed approach can provide the manipulator with comprehensive torque compensation. © 2023 IEEE.

CacheAlarm: Monitoring Sensitive Behaviors of Android Apps Using Cache Side Channel

Malware attack has been a serious threat to the security and privacy of both individual and corporation users of the Android platform. Business entities seek to protect themselves by means of monitoring privacy-related sensitive behaviors conducted on company-issued Android devices. However, due to Android's own access control and privacy protection policies, this is difficult to be done with third-party apps using only normal privileges. Existing works proposed using side-channel readings from leaky APIs and system virtual files to speculate runtime app behaviors, which could be unreliable due to future system updates (that ban exploited resources), hardware jittering, etc. In this paper, we argue that a more traditional side-channel attack strategy, namely the CPU-cache-based side channel, could be exploited in the benign scenario of app behavior surveillance. Specifically, we propose CacheAlarm, a sensitive app behavior monitor and foreground app identification system, which works by measuring cache side-channel readings of selected methods within the Android framework, and conducted in-lab and in-the-wild user studies to compare the effectiveness of our scheme against SideNet, a previous Android app behavior surveillance scheme using API-based side channels. Results of the studies suggested that CacheAlarm outperforms SideNet on the accuracy of detecting sensitive behaviors in addition to gaining the capability of detecting apps running at foreground of the user device. © 2025 IEEE.
