A new query dependent feature fusion approach for medical image retrieval based on one-class SVM

With the development of the internet, medical images are now available in large numbers in online repositories, and there exists the need to retrieval the medical images in the content-based ways through automatically extracting visual information of the medical images. Since a single feature extracted from images just characterizes certain aspect of image content, multiple features are necessarily employed to improve the retrieval performance. Furthermore, a special feature is not equally important for different image queries since a special feature has different importance in reflecting the content of different images. However, most existed feature fusion methods for image retrieval only utilize query independent feature fusion or rely on explicit user weighting. In this paper, based on multiply query samples provided by the user, we present a novel query dependent feature fusion method for medical image retrieval based on one class support vector machine. The proposed query dependent feature fusion method for medical image retrieval can learn different feature fusion models for different image queries, and the learned feature fusion models can reflect the different importance of a special feature for different image queries. The experimental results on the IRMA medical image collection demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the retrieval performance effectively and can outperform existed feature fusion methods for image retrieval. This paper proposes a hyper-converged blockchain hardware and software sys-tem based on domestic chips. By utilizing domestically firmware, the Linux operating system, X86 architecture Hygon processors, and ARM architecture Phytium processors, combined with servers, storage, network, and independently controllable blockchain technologies, the system achieves integrated hardware and software optimization. This significantly improves performance and scalability. Experimental results demonstrate that the system performs excellently in various high-security application scenarios, providing reliable solutions for government, finance, taxation, transportation, energy, and telecommunications sectors. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In agile software development, functionality is added to the system in an incremental and iterative manner. Practitioners often rely on expert judgment to estimate the effort in this context. However, the impact of a change on the existing system can provide objective information to practitioners to arrive at an informed estimate. In this regard, we have developed a hybrid method, that utilizes change impact analysis information for improving effort estimation. We also developed an estimation model based on gradient boosted trees (GBT). In this study, we evaluate the performance and usefulness of our hybrid method with tool support and the GBT model in a live iteration at Insiders Technologies GmbH, a German software company. Additionally, the solution was also assessed for perceived usefulness and understandability in a study with graduate and post-graduate students. The results from the industrial evaluation show that the proposed method produces more accurate estimates than only expert-based or only model-based estimates. Furthermore, both students and practitioners perceived the usefulness and understandability of the method positively. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The integrated calibration method of micro-nano satellite attitude benchmark is studied. Considering the magnetic effects and residual magnetism caused by the complex magnetic environment of the satellite, an accurate measurement model for magnetometers was adopted. By using the relationship between the measured and theoretical values of the geomagnetic field, the residual magnetism and magnetic sensitivity coefficients in the magnetometer measurement model were calibrated, through the least square method of uncertain parameters of the calibration. After modeling the installation error of the solar sensor, the calibration of the solar sensor is completed, so as to realize the integrated calibration of the attitude benchmark of the micro-nano satellite. Finally, this article conducted ground experiments using telemetry data from an in orbit satellite. The experimental results showed that the proposed method reduced sensor measurement errors, improved sensor benchmark consistency, and improved attitude determination accuracy from around 10 degrees to better than 0.2 degrees, verifying the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

The maritime industry is undergoing a major transformation to achieve reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Many new options, such as alternative propulsion systems and fuels, optimized routes, or auxiliary propulsion systems, including wind-assistance devices, need to be integrated and aligned within a wide network of different stakeholders. New ways are necessary to work with and manage the increasing complexity in the maritime industry. Model-based systems engineering approaches are a promising strategy to gain a better understanding of the as-is situation and to develop advanced solutions. This paper shows the application of the ARCADIA method for the maritime industry, with the target of integrating wind-assistance devices to vessels, using the ARCADIA modeling language and the Capella tool. The evaluation of Cramer-Rao bounds for elliptical orbits parameters estimates is presented. A special case of the observer moving near the orbit plane is considered. The observer motion being substituted by an equivalent motion on orbit plane results in a formulation of a simple two-dimensional model of motion-measurement, in which observing elevation angles are linked to the true anomalies and the orbit parameters via nonlinear equations. Differentiation of the equations by orbit parameters yields Jacobi's matrices of single angle measurements and finally the Fisher's information matrix that becomes a framework for accuracy analysis. The most sophisticated part of the Fisher's matrix evaluation - the reckoning of true anomalies derivatives by orbit parameters - is based on the numerical solution of the differential equation of motion by the Euler's method. Precision bounds of estimates for a certain family of orbits are evaluated in a wide range of practical burnout velocities and angles, so as apogee heights. The results obtained reveal high achievable accuracy for re-entry (landing) coordinates and apogee velocity components estimates utilizing elevation angle measurements only. © 2019 IEEE.

The real-time performance and reliability of on-board software is significant for the Spacecraft. Due to the expansion of space missions and the growth on complexity of on-board software, implementing the software scheduling in the distributed on-board integrated computing system becomes an important research issue. A software scheduling method is proposed for embedded real-time system of spacecraft. It aims to solve the problems of multi-node redundant scheduling of safety-critical tasks and continuity requirement of software tasks, which has good application value for increasing efficiency of on-board software scheduling. © 2022 IEEE.

A precise approach to tracking dim-small targets using spectral fingerprint features

A precise method for accurately tracking dim- small targets, based on spectral fingerprint is proposed where traditional full color tracking seems impossible. A fingerprint model is presented to adequately extract spectral features. By creating a multidimensional feature space and extending the limited RGB information to the hyperspectral information, the improved precise tracking model based on a nonparamet- ric kernel density estimator is built using the probability his- togram of spectral features. A layered particle filter algorithm for spectral tracking is presented to avoid the object jumping abruptly. Finally, experiments are conducted that show that the tracking algorithm with spectral fingerprint features is ac- curate, fast, and robust. It meets the needs of dim-small target tracking adequately.

Increasingly powerful computational technology has caused enormous data growth both in size and complexity. A key issue is how to organize the data to adapt the challenges of data analysis. This paper borrows ideas from the Internet of things （IOT） into the digital world and organize the data entities to form a network, the Internet of data （IOD）, which has huge potential in data-intensive applications. In the IOD, data hiding technology is utilized to embed virtual tags, which record all the activities of the data entities since they are created, into every data entity in the system. The IOD aims to organize the data to be interconnected as a network and collect useful information for data identification, data tracing, data vitalization and further data analysis.
