The increasing demand for programmers has led to a surge in participants in programming courses, making it increasingly challenging for instructors to assess student code manually. As a result, automated programming assessment systems (APASs) have been developed to streamline this process. These APASs support lecturers by managing and evaluating student programming exercises at scale. However, these tools often do not provide feature-rich online editors compared to their traditional integrated development environments (IDEs) counterparts. This absence of key features, such as syntax highlighting and autocompletion, can negatively impact the learning experience, as these tools are crucial for effective coding practice. To address this gap, this research contributes to the field of programming education by extracting and defining requirements for an online IDE in an educational context and presenting a prototypical implementation of an open-source solution for a scalable and secure online IDE. The usability of the new online IDE was assessed using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), gathering feedback from 27 first-year students through a structured survey. In addition to these qualitative insights, quantitative measures such as memory (RAM) usage were evaluated to determine the efficiency and scalability of the tool under varying usage conditions. With the ever-rising risk of phishing attacks, which capitalize on vulnerable human behavior in the contemporary digital space, requires new cybersecurity methods. This literary work contributes to the solution by novel incorporation of three techniques: Support Vector Machine (SVM), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Random Forest (RF). Utilizing NLP for deep analysis of text in phishing e-mails, SVM for strong categorization and Random Forest's decision making by group helps in improving detection. This combination of language and pattern analysis along with group learning builds a fortified system. This approach differs from prior work on a variety of factors such as reliability, security, integrity, scalability, interpretability, transparency, and robustness. Thorough evaluation on a reliable dataset aimed to demonstrate the method's effectiveness, which resulted in 98.7 % of accuracy in detection. This majorly aims at showcasing the potential of ensemble techniques to combat against cyber-attacks like phishing for laying a strong foundation for a secure digital environment.

Energy conservation is an indispensable aspect of the protocols designed for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The communication protocols for WSN fall mainly under two categories: centralized and distributed. Centralized protocols are not feasible for real-world WSNs as the network can span across large areas where most of the nodes cannot directly communicate with the base station (BS). The routing issues in such networks can be addressed using multi-hop protocols. However, the process of BS guided clustering in such methods cannot be performed. Distributed clustering methods that minimize the intervention of BS in clustering can provide feasible solutions in such cases, but the energy expenditure is considerably high. This paper, hence, proposes a hybrid clustering based routing protocol for large WSN that employs certain aspects of centralized as well as that of distributed protocols. Experimental evaluation of the proposed protocol in terms of network lifetime gives promising results that clearly indicate the energy efficiency and consistency of the proposed work in different scenarios. The proposed work can prove beneficial in real-life scenarios where the deployed nodes are far away from the BS. © 2025 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Virtual Reality (VR) has emerged due to advancements in hardware and computer graphics. During the pandemic, conferences and exhibitions leveraging VR have gained attention. However, large-scale VR conferences, face a significant problem not yet studied in the literature - displaying too many irrelevant users on the screen which may negatively impact the user experience. To address this issue, we formulate a new research problem, Social-Aware VR Conference Group Display Configuration (SVGD). Accordingly, we design the Social Utility-Aware VR Conference Group Formation (SVC) algorithm, which is a 2-approximation algorithm to SVGD. SVC iteratively selects either the P-Configuration or S-Configuration based on their effective ratios. This ensures that in each iteration, SVC identifies and chooses the solution with the highest current effectiveness. Experiments on real metaverse datasets show that the proposed SVC outperforms 11 baselines by 75% in terms of solution quality. Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease causing extreme muscular fatigue, triggering problems with vision, swallowing, speech, mobility, dexterity, and breathing. However, early detection and prediction of MG is a crucial and quite challenging task for medical practitioners. So, in our proposed work, we are focused on introducing an ontology-based intelligent system for the prognosis of patients affected by this neuromuscular disease. The given paper presents a novel framework that employs the concepts of ontology, semantic web rules, and reasoner for deriving whether the patient is tested positive or negative. The suggested framework's effectiveness is assessed by comparing it to machine learning classifiers using parameters from the NIH repository for Myasthenia Gravis. The experimental results show that the ontological-based framework is able to achieve higher accuracy (80.85%), higher precision (78.37%), and higher recall (76.55%) than the existing classifiers used in the recent studies. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

This paper introduces a novel telehealth communication system, designed to enhance the security and integrity of medical data exchange. In the rapidly evolving digital healthcare landscape, the protection of sensitive patient information is paramount. To address this, our system uniquely combines quantum cryptography, specifically the BB84 protocol, with blockchain technology, offering a dual-layered security framework. The Quantum Layer, underpinned by the BB84 protocol, establishes quantum-secure communication channels, effectively encrypting data exchanges between patients, doctors, and hospitals. This layer guarantees that medical information remains confidential and safe from potential quantum-level eavesdropping threats. The subsequent Blockchain Layer further strengthens the system by storing these encrypted communications in an immutable blockchain ledger. This approach not only secures the data against unauthorized alterations but also provides a transparent and permanent record of all transactions, thereby enhancing the auditability of medical communications. © 2024 IEEE.

With the existing deep learning models in predicting multiple diseases primarily focus on analyzing individual diseases in isolation, lacking a unified system for multi-disease prediction. This project presents an approach to predict multiple diseases using Flask API, with a specific focus on brain tumors, COVID-19 and pneumonia. The proposed work represents a significant contribution to the field of disease prediction, harnessing the power of deep learning algorithms and modern web application development. The primary focus is on disease prediction, with a particular emphasis on ensuring accuracy and accessibility for end-users. The initial phase of this research involves data collection, where relevant datasets of various diseases are gathered. These datasets serve as the foundation for training and validating the deep learning models. Two prominent deep learning algorithms, Sequential CNN and VGG16, are employed for this purpose. These algorithms are chosen for their ability to handle complex data and recognize patterns within medical images and other health-related data. The core of the research involves training the deep learning models using the collected datasets. This step is crucial in enabling the models to learn and generalize from the provided data, ultimately enhancing their predictive capabilities. The models are modified to elevate their performance and accuracy. Following the training phase, the models are rigorously tested to evaluate their predictive accuracy. This assessment is vital in gauging the real-world applicability of the models in medical diagnosis. To make these powerful disease prediction models accessible to a wider audience, a front-end web application is developed.

Photography is the most important, powerful, and reliable means of expression. Today, digital images not only provide disinformation but also act as agents for secret communication. Users and editing professionals work with digital images for a variety of purposes. Images are often regarded as facts or proof of reality, so they are misleading and fake news or publications of any form that use images manipulated in a highly misleading way. To recognize image tampering needs multiple image data and a model that can handle all the pixels in the image. Furthermore, training the data more efficiently and needed flexibility support everyday use. With an aging population and an increase in chronic sickness, healthcare systems are under increasing pressure. Internet of Things (IoT) technology has recently garnered a lot of interest for its ability to alleviate this burden. The IoT is a network of interconnected wireless digital devices that can gather, transmit, and store data automatically, without the need for human or computer intervention. In order to better anticipate health problems, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients in and out of the hospital, the IoT offers numerous advantages that could streamline and improve health care delivery. As a matter of urgency, decision-makers and heads of state around the world are enacting policies to provide healthcare services through the use of technology. Thanks to recent advancements in the IoT, healthcare has been able to evolve at a rapid pace. Research on Internet IoT uses in healthcare and newly developed emergency equipment are summarized in this article. © The Author(s) 2024.
