Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used to study the structural makeup of the brain and analyse several neurological disorders and diseased areas. For the adoption of preventative measures, early recognition of Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients is essential. Here, a thorough inspection of the tissue arrangements obtained by MRI images of Outcome and Assessment information (OASIS) dataset enables an exact characterization of certain brain diseases. There have been a number of division techniques for diagnosing AD that range in complexity. Compassion has been tested by deep learning techniques used to segment the structure of the brain and classify AD because they have the potential to uncover important information from vast amounts of data. In this paper the deep learning technique of Hybrid Dragonfly based GWO convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is achieved promising result for the diagnosis of AD. At image preprocessing wiener filter is used for removing the additive noises and the Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) extraction is implemented for texture analyzing. As a result, hybrid deep learning methods of CNN has the accuracy as 90% and the result of the image prediction are presented in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

End-user feedback in social media platforms, particularly in the app stores, is increasing exponentially with each passing day. software researchers and vendors started to mine end-user feedback by proposing text analytics methods and tools to extract useful information for software evolution and maintenance. In addition, research shows that positive feedback and high-star app ratings attract more users and increase downloads. However, it emerged in the fake review market, where software vendors started incorporating fake reviews against their corresponding applications to improve overall software ratings. For this purpose, we conducted an exploratory study to understand how end-users register and write fake reviews in the Google Play Store. We curated a research data set containing 68,000 end-user comments from the Google Play Store and a fake review generator, that is, the Testimonial generator (TG). Its purpose is to understand fake reviews on these platforms and identify the common patterns potential end-users and professionals use to report fake reviews by critically analyzing the end-user feedback. We conducted a detailed survey at the University of science and Technology Bannu, Pakistan, to identify the intelligence and accuracy of crowd-users in manually identifying fake reviews. In addition, we developed a ground truth to be compared with the results obtained from the automated machine and deep learning (M&DL) classifier experiment. In the survey, 512 end-users participated and recorded their responses in identifying fake reviews. Finally, various M&DL classifiers are employed to classify and identify end-user reviews into real and fake to automate the process. Unlike humans, the M&DL classifiers performed well in automatically classifying reviews into real and fake by obtaining much higher accuracy, precision, recall, and f-measures. The task allocation between team members of each organization's departments is a crucial project management activity that needs adequate attention to improve organizational efficiency. If a related decision is not made properly, it may immediately cause problems with coordination and communication, task delays, and increased costs. Tasks are usually grouped and then these groups are assigned to the agents. Moreover, it is important to consider the difficulty level of the tasks and the member's ability. The task allocation process becomes increasingly complex when administrators strive to maintain the balance between the workload of allocated task groups and the agents' capabilities. The E-CARGO (Environments - Classes, Agents, Roles, Groups, and Objects) model, created for the purpose of Role-Based Collaboration (RBC), has been effectively utilized to address the given problem. In this paper, a novel approach is presented to formalize the Grouped Task Allocation Problem (GTAP) employing an extended Group Multirole Assignment with Conflicting Roles problem (GMRACR), which is a sub-model of E-CARGO. In this paper, a role negotiation method is introduced, which is based on GMRACR. It employs a partitioning clustering algorithm along with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the difficulty level of tasks and the abilities of agents, respectively. This formalization of GTAP facilitates the identification of a solution using the IBM ILOG CPLEX optimization package (CPLEX). The proposed method helps decision-makers with a framework to successfully assign balanced grouped tasks. Through simulation experiments on a real-world problem, the efficacy of the suggested approach is substantiated. Experimental results reveal the practicality of the solutions recommended in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

The aim of technical education is to design a career-based curriculum that imparts a set of skills to students and enable them to contribute to a nation's economic progress. With their multifarious uses, information systems (IS) lie at the heart of modern economies. IS curricula offer several tracks for students to pursue career paths based on their interests and opportunities. To offer students an opportunity to apply the knowledge they glean from classroom instructions on real-world problems, capstone projects are essential elements in most, if not all, IS programs. As IS programs increasingly offer a wider range of career paths for students, the design and delivery of such capstone projects present a set of unique challenges. In this paper, we examine the set of challenges and share our experience from designing and delivering a career track-based capstone course for the first time at a large university. Feedback from students and faculty supervisors indicates that the course was able to meet its learning objectives to a notable extent and offered important pointers to future improvements in the course design. © 2023 IEEE.

Access to building data is crucial for creating portable applications and improving building operation and energy efficiency. Ensuring data transmutability is essential for facilitating research and overcoming the diverse data representation, management, and collection methods across various building management systems (BMSs). Different BMSs use multiple interfaces for data exchange. Some BMSs provide Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for data exchanges, while others have gateways connecting to cloud services for application subscription and data access. This study introduces a five-layered architecture that describes how client applications, researchers, and other interested stakeholders can exchange data with different BMSs. Our objective is to help researchers and practitioners understand the various ways of accessing transmutable (capable of being transformed into a compatible format) data from BMSs, regardless of the building management system a building uses. Through transmutable access to building systems' data, we aim to enable transferable energy-efficient-related applications for buildings. We evaluate our work with a building model of the Varennes Library in Varennes, QC, Canada. The building model includes information about the building, floors, rooms, electric meter and historical time series data of the meter, weather station and its historical time series data. The model also has carbon dioxide concentration sensors, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, and historical time series data of the sensors. We include two test client programs to show how they access the transmutable data of the building through a model. We conclude that the five-layered architecture facilitates the exchange of transmutable data across diverse BMSs, making it a valuable tool for researchers and practitioners. © 2024 IEEE.

The ability for books to talk would be an exciting concept, and this research discussion paves the path for an identical approach. The research objectives discussed in this paper address several burning problems, solve them and adapt them to future technological enhancements from a Sri Lankan context. Burning problems include reducing printing costs for textbooks, addressing students' health, promoting green technology, and identifying a suitable summarising approach to the native language, Sinhala resulting in students' learning ease. Other symptoms for the betterment indicate paths taken to reduce the weight of school bags carried by students, reduce paper usage by the government on printing textbooks, and spread technological awareness to teenagers regarding e-Learning. Textbooks issued by the government will be digitized and centralized into a single system that the government officials themselves can administer. The paper discusses limited hindsight literature and proposes 2 new algorithms for abstractive and extractive summarization for Sinhala text. The 2 algorithms are compared against one another in terms of performance, efficiency, precision and accuracy. Experts in the education domain have verified the derived summary of both algorithms. The deliverable artefacts are the mobile application, a RESTful auto-summarization plugin service, and new data sets extracted to train the GPT-3 models. © 2023 IEEE.

There is rising public concern about exposure to radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (EMF) as more and more wireless communications become concentrated in everyday living surroundings. There are a number of obstacles, primarily originating from infrastructure expenses, but recent technology breakthroughs are shifting attention to Internet of Things (IoT) devices that enable automatic and continuous real-time EMF monitoring. The Internet of Things (IoT) has made the world a better place by expanding the capabilities of telemedicine and allowing for more precise remote monitoring of patients. Improved healthcare facilities for both patients and doctors/hospitals are only one way that IoT is making a significant impact in the medical field. Five main parts make up the proposed system: patient data gathering, primary report creation, hospital care, pharmacy care, and diagnostics. This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT)-based healthcare scheme accomplished of real-time nursing of energetic signs and environmental factors for discrete patients. Five sensors, including a heart-rate monitor, a body temperature monitor, a room temperature monitor, a carbon monoxide monitor, and a carbon dioxide monitor, are utilised to collect data from the hospital setting. Medical personnel receive patient updates through a portal and use this data for further diagnosis and care. The success of the system demonstrates that the built prototype is ideal for healthcare monitoring. This study has investigated unique approaches to the automatic construction of convolutional neural network (CNN) topologies, and it has also developed a new method for diagnosis. The results of the trials prove that the recommended algorithm achieves improved than the state-of-the-art techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

At the end of 2019, a global outbreak of a new coronavirus ravaged the world, and to this day, many people’s bodies are still deeply affected by the virus. In order to find out if there is a correlation between different levels of cancer diagnosis and healthy samples, and to further compare the differences between healthy samples and cancer samples, we have identified a significant set of genes that highlights the differences between the two samples. Therefore, we used statistics, immunology, and artificial intelligence to analyze the blood sampling data of cancer patients diagnosed with the new coronavirus during the diagnostic period, and compared them with healthy donors. We initially found that the proportion of significant cells in the two stem cell gene sets of the cancer samples was more than about two times greater than that of the healthy samples. Therefore, in the future, we will be able to further analyze the differences between the two samples and find out the key factors that can assist in medical diagnosis. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The research on applications for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) including the investigation of submerged resources, gathering oceanographic data, conducting operational surveillance, and prevention from natural disasters is rapidly increasing. Traditional wireless sensor networks (TWSNs) are distinct from UWSNs. Routing protocols of TWSNs are also distinct from UWSNs routing protocols in terms of energy efficiency. Most of routing protocols have been developed to extract data from the ocean floor to the surface of waters. There are many challenges for indigenous designing of an efficient routing protocol for UWSNs, such as, design of reliable path for forwarding communicating data packets, managing the movement of nodes, configuration of sensor nodes, removing void communicating nodes and increasing the power efficiency of the system. This research focuses on designing a novel Machine learning-based multi-path reliable and energy-efficient routing protocol (M2RE2RP) for UWSNs. It will select an efficient path among the existing communication paths used by sensor nodes, which will ultimately increase the lifespan of the network. The simulation experiment results dictate that the proposed routing model M2RE2RP achieves better performance in terms of network throughput, end-to-end latency, total energy consumption and network lifetime. © 2023 IEEE.
