Cricket fans throughout the world avidly follow the Indian Premier League (IPL), a competition of great fame. The IPL data is examined in this using Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) approaches to find hidden trends, patterns, and insights. Key findings are summarized in EDA, a critical stage of data processing that is frequently complemented with visual aids. Through EDA, the goal is to investigate several factors, including team performance, player data, match results, and venue effects. Data transformation, cleaning, and visualization will all be part of producing insightful findings. Win percentages, player averages, and run distributions are examples of key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be looked at. The analysis's findings will give teams, athletes, and supporters important new information.

In recent years, there has been a notable surge in the development of methods dedicated to classifying hyper spectral image samples. However, the inherent high dimensionality of hyper spectral data presents significant challenges for traditional supervised classification algorithms. Prior studies have attempted to address these challenges by incorporating active learning methods for hyper spectral data segmentation. Nevertheless, a crucial drawback of active learning lies in its dependence on labeled data samples, leading to less improved classification results for unlabeled data samples. In response to this limitation, our work introduces Supervised Active Learning (SAL) techniques that harness both spectral and spatial information. The key innovation of our research lies in the introduction of a novel hyper spectral image segmentation approach based on the k-dependence Bayesian (KDB) model. We estimate the maximizer of the posterior marginal using Symmetric Iterative Proportional Fitting (SIPF) within this KDB model. By implementing the KDB model for hyper spectral image segmentation, our goal is to enhance the classification accuracy of our SAL classifiers. The SAL framework integrates shape prior probability estimation, class density results from Improved Multi-Level Logistic (IMLL) methods, and the maximization of the posterior marginal estimated through Symmetric Iterative Proportional Fitting (SIPF). We evaluate the accuracy of our proposed MPM-SIPF-SAL system using the real ROSIS Hyper Spectral Dataset, demonstrating that our system outperforms existing methods in terms of classification accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

Sport action recognition is an interesting area in computer vision. Categorization of sport actions, representing difficult and complex body postures, is regarded as a fine-grained visual classification problem. The Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have attained enhanced performance over conventional feature descriptors in recognizing various sport activities. In general, though decent improvement has been gained using deep learning for sport action recognition, however, recognition of women’s sport activities is not widely explored. Even, no benchmark dataset depicting women’s sport action with sufficient variations is available yet for study. Hence, fine-grained image classification of diverse sport categories involving female/women athletics requires immediate research attention. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes an image dataset comprising worldwide popular 50 sport categories of women players only. A simple deep learning model is proposed that extracts the high-level deep features using a backbone CNN. Then, these features are pooled from a collection of regular regions representing local discriminative information. The spatial pyramid pooling is applied for mining semantic information and enhancing feature aggregation for classification. The proposed method has achieved satisfactory performance on the Women Sports dataset using four standard backbone CNNs. Moreover, our method has achieved better accuracy on the Yoga-82 pose recognition dataset with a significant margin, e.g., 11.6% gain using ResNet-50 base CNN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

Smart devices in various application areas are becoming increasingly prevalent for efficient handling of multiple critical activities. One such area of interest is high-security militarized environments. Due to military zones’ harsh and unpredictable nature, monitoring devices deployed in such environments must operate without power interruption for extended time periods. Therefore, it is essential to choose an appropriate application design for operating these "things" in the internet of things (IoT) environment such that energy can be conserved throughout the operating span of an application. This paper presents two application modules and analyzes their performance in terms of energy conservation considering a military-based IoT-Fog architecture. The two modules are: A sequential application module, and a master-worker application module. Experimental results show that the master-worker module incurs lower energy consumption and communication overhead than the sequential application module. Significantly, the master-worker module exhibits a lower delay in tuple execution by almost four milliseconds while also accounting for lower simulation time and higher network utilization. The module achieves significant savings in energy consumption, making it more effective in handling smart devices. © The Author(s) 2022.

Recently, adversarial attacks against machine learning-based network intrusion detection systems (NIDS) have gained significant attention in cybersecurity. This study investigates the transferability of these adversarial attacks in the context of NIDS. In addition, most existing studies in adversarial learning against NIDS adopted attack strategies designed originally for image classification without considering network traffic characteristics. However, this is impractical and will fail in the real world as network traffic features are constrained, and ignoring the functional behavior of the network traffic features leads to invalid network traffic flow or produces adversarial samples that do not retain their original functionality (malicious or benign). To address these issues, we propose a constrained momentum iterative fast gradient sign method (C-MIFGSM) to generate adversarial network flows that can successfully evade an ML-based IDS through transfer-based attacks while preserving the functional behavior of the network traffic. Our approach was validated using several target NIDS models built with the NSLKDD benchmark dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that even without knowledge of the target model and under feature constraints, it is possible to generate adversarial network traffic flows that achieve a high evasion attack success rate against NIDS built with deep learning and classical ML models. For example, the attack degraded the detection rate of the DoS traffic drops from 92.35% to 20.27% for the MLP model with an evasion increase rate of 78.04%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Medical Image Analysis(MIA)is one of the active research areas in computer vision,where brain tumor detection is the most investigated domain among researchers due to its deadly *** tumor detection in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)assists radiologists for better analysis about the exact size and location of the ***,the existing systems may not efficiently classify the human brain tumors with significantly higher *** addition,smart and easily implementable approaches are unavailable in 2D and 3D medical images,which is the main problem in detecting the *** this paper,we investigate various deep learning models for the detection and localization of the tumor in MRI.A novel twotier framework is proposed where the first tire classifies normal and tumor MRI followed by tumor regions localization in the second ***,in this paper,we introduce a well-annotated dataset comprised of tumor and normal *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework by achieving 97%accuracy using GoogLeNet on the proposed dataset for classification and 83%for localization tasks after finetuning the pre-trained you only look once(YOLO)v3 model.

Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)is one of the renowned ad hoc network technology that has vast varieties of applications such as in computer networks,bio-medical engineering,agriculture,industry and many *** has been used in the internet-of-things(IoTs)applications.A method for data collecting utilizing hybrid compressive sensing(CS)is developed in order to reduce the quantity of data transmission in the clustered sensor network and balance the network *** cluster head nodes are chosen first from each temporary cluster that is closest to the cluster centroid of the nodes,and then the cluster heads are selected in order based on the distance between the determined cluster head node and the undetermined candidate cluster head ***,each ordinary node joins the cluster that is nearest to *** greedy CS is used to compress data transmission for nodes whose data transmission volume is greater than the threshold in a data transmission tree with the Sink node as the root node and linking all cluster head *** simulation results demonstrate that when the compression ratio is set to ten,the data transfer volume is reduced by a factor of *** compared to clustering and SPT without CS,it is reduced by 75%and 65%,*** compared to SPT with Hybrid CS and Clustering with hybrid CS,it is reduced by 35%and 20%,*** and SPT without CS are compared in terms of node data transfer volume standard *** with Hybrid CS and clustering with Hybrid CS were both reduced by 62%and 80%,*** compared to SPT with hybrid CS and clustering with hybrid CS,the latter two were reduced by 41%and 19%,respectively.

In this paper, HTTP status codes are used as custom metrics within the HPA as the experimental scenario. By integrating the Random Forest classification algorithm from machine learning, attacks are assessed and predicted, dynamically adjusting the maximum pod parameter in the HPA to manage attack traffic. This approach enables the adjustment of HPA parameters using machine learning scripts in targeted attack scenarios while effectively managing attack traffic. All access from attacking IPs is redirected to honeypot pods, achieving a lower incidence of 5XX status codes through HPA pod adjustments under high load conditions. This method also ensures effective isolation of attack traffic, preventing excessive HPA expansion due to attacks. Additionally, experiments conducted under various conditions demonstrate the importance of setting appropriate thresholds for HPA adjustments. Copyright © 2024 held by the owner/author(s).
