Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)is one of the renowned ad hoc network technology that has vast varieties of applications such as in computer networks,bio-medical engineering,agriculture,industry and many *** has been used in the internet-of-things(IoTs)applications.A method for data collecting utilizing hybrid compressive sensing(CS)is developed in order to reduce the quantity of data transmission in the clustered sensor network and balance the network *** cluster head nodes are chosen first from each temporary cluster that is closest to the cluster centroid of the nodes,and then the cluster heads are selected in order based on the distance between the determined cluster head node and the undetermined candidate cluster head ***,each ordinary node joins the cluster that is nearest to *** greedy CS is used to compress data transmission for nodes whose data transmission volume is greater than the threshold in a data transmission tree with the Sink node as the root node and linking all cluster head *** simulation results demonstrate that when the compression ratio is set to ten,the data transfer volume is reduced by a factor of *** compared to clustering and SPT without CS,it is reduced by 75%and 65%,*** compared to SPT with Hybrid CS and Clustering with hybrid CS,it is reduced by 35%and 20%,*** and SPT without CS are compared in terms of node data transfer volume standard *** with Hybrid CS and clustering with Hybrid CS were both reduced by 62%and 80%,*** compared to SPT with hybrid CS and clustering with hybrid CS,the latter two were reduced by 41%and 19%,respectively.

Medical Image Analysis(MIA)is one of the active research areas in computer vision,where brain tumor detection is the most investigated domain among researchers due to its deadly *** tumor detection in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)assists radiologists for better analysis about the exact size and location of the ***,the existing systems may not efficiently classify the human brain tumors with significantly higher *** addition,smart and easily implementable approaches are unavailable in 2D and 3D medical images,which is the main problem in detecting the *** this paper,we investigate various deep learning models for the detection and localization of the tumor in MRI.A novel twotier framework is proposed where the first tire classifies normal and tumor MRI followed by tumor regions localization in the second ***,in this paper,we introduce a well-annotated dataset comprised of tumor and normal *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework by achieving 97%accuracy using GoogLeNet on the proposed dataset for classification and 83%for localization tasks after finetuning the pre-trained you only look once(YOLO)v3 model.

In this paper, HTTP status codes are used as custom metrics within the HPA as the experimental scenario. By integrating the Random Forest classification algorithm from machine learning, attacks are assessed and predicted, dynamically adjusting the maximum pod parameter in the HPA to manage attack traffic. This approach enables the adjustment of HPA parameters using machine learning scripts in targeted attack scenarios while effectively managing attack traffic. All access from attacking IPs is redirected to honeypot pods, achieving a lower incidence of 5XX status codes through HPA pod adjustments under high load conditions. This method also ensures effective isolation of attack traffic, preventing excessive HPA expansion due to attacks. Additionally, experiments conducted under various conditions demonstrate the importance of setting appropriate thresholds for HPA adjustments. Copyright © 2024 held by the owner/author(s). Gliomas hold a prominent position in neurooncology due to their high malignancy and poor survival rates. Accurately predicting the prognosis and survival risk of glioma patients is crucial for clinical treatment. Recent advances in survival prediction methods emphasize the importance of integrating complementary information from diverse modalities while neglecting the significant modality gap between pathological images and genomic data. To address this issue, we propose a modality-specific knowledge interaction network (MSKI-Net), which integrates whole slide images (WSI), RNA-Seq gene expression data, and copy number variation (CNV) data for glioma survival analysis. The MSKI-Net consists of a modality-specific feature enhancement (MSFE) module, a modality-interactive cross-attention (MICA) module, and a modality-specific knowledge-guided representation learning (MSKR) module. The three modules collaborate by complementing modality-specific features with modality-agnostic knowledge to improve the learning capability of MSKI-Net. Furthermore, we construct a dataset named TCGAmm, which combines WSI, RNA-Seq, and CNV data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) to address the issue of data scarcity. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MSKI-Net achieves superior performance in predicting the survival risk of glioma cancer. © 2024 IEEE.

Water covers approximately 71% of the earth's surface, but only 1.2% of it can be used for drinking. However, due to the amount of waste water released into water resources, the presence of harmful microorganisms, and natural occurrences such as eutrophication, even that water cannot be used directly for drinking purposes without purification. One method of purifying water is chlorination. However, if the chlorine level exceeds the standard, it can cause both long-term and short-term illnesses. As a result, a system is imposed to solve four problems: predicting the pH value of chlorinated drinking water, determining the quantification value of active sludge in a wastewater plant, detecting microorganisms in drinking water, and predicting the percentage of eutrophication in a water resource. © 2022 IEEE.

The intricacies and instability of introducing cryogenic propellants into the combustion system have piqued the curiosity of scientists studying the procedure. The latest innovation is utilizing data-driven machine learning and deep learning approaches to gain deeper insights into the related difficulties. However, the current work serves as a baseline for future research because relatively few studies have used data-driven methodologies to assess the temperature of liquid fuel injections in combustion systems. The performance of Linear Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Extra Trees Regressor (ETR), Polynomial Regression (PR), Support Vector Regressor (SVR), Decision Tree Regressor (DTR), Gradient Boost Regressor (GBR), XGB Regressor (XGBoost), AdaBoost Regressor (ABR), K-Neighbors Regressor (KNR), Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM), Bi-LSTM (Bi-directional Long-Short Term Memory) has all been investigated in this study. The study also suggested a Fully Connected Neural Network (FCNN) to examine its performance and paired it with an Extra Tree Regressor (ETR). The coupled FCNN and Extra Tree Regressor outperform the other algorithms with a Mean Square Error (MSE) of 0.0000005062, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.00071148, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.00020672, and R-squared (R2) value of 0.99998689. Linear Regression, Polynomial Regression, and Support Vector Regressor are found to be the least-performing algorithms. The current work uses machine learning and deep learning methods to make data-driven decisions for liquid fuel injection in the combustion system. © The Author(s) 2025.

Video understanding is a significant computer vision research subject since online video content is growing exponentially. Feature extraction and representation play a crucial role in video understanding tasks such as classification, segmentation, and recognition. However, the model's learning is ambiguous since adjacent video frames typically have similar RGB features. To address this issue, we present graph-based embedding to enhance video feature distribution. We construct a graph-structured of videos by connecting similar features. Node embedding is generated by utilizing a graph model. Experiments demonstrate that our approach effectively improves feature distribution. The graph attention network (GAT) improves accuracy and editing score by 4% over the visual model. © 2023 IEEE.

Predictive Process Monitoring (PPM) aims to predict the future state of running process instances to enable timely interventions to mitigate potential risks. As one of the most fundamental tasks in PPM, process remaining time prediction focuses on preventing timeout occurrences. While various deep learning-based approaches have been developed for this purpose, they often rely on pre-established static prediction models and struggle to maintain accurate predictions when the process undergoes dynamic changes, such as an expanding sales channels. To tackle this challenge, this paper proposes an incremental process remaining time prediction framework by continuously updating the prediction model based on an incremental event log. Specifically, a feature selection strategy is first introduced to extract effective features from event logs. Leveraging effective features can significantly improve the prediction quality by capturing the changes in process information. Then, three incremental log-based updating mechanisms, including period-based updating, quantity-based updating, and concept-drift-based updating, along with a reconstruction strategy, are proposed to dynamically adjust the prediction model in response to business changes. Finally, LSTM, Transformer, and Auto-encoder models are adapted and integrated into the proposed framework. The approach has been implemented and publicly released. Experimental evaluation using nine real-life event logs demonstrate that the proposed framework and its three instantiations (i.e., LSTM-based, Transformer-based, and Auto-encoder-based ones) outperform state-of-the-art techniques in terms of prediction accuracy. © 2008-2012 IEEE.
