An IoT-based wireless sensor network(WSN)comprises many small sensors to collect the data and share it with the central *** sensors are battery-driven and resource-restrained devices that consume most of the energy in sensing or collecting the data and transmitting *** data sharing,security is an important concern in such networks as they are prone to many threats,of which the deadliest is the wormhole *** attacks are launched without acquiring the vital information of the network and they highly compromise the communication,security,and performance of the *** the IoT-based network environment,its mitigation becomes more challenging because of the low resource availability in the sensing *** have performed an extensive literature study of the existing techniques against the wormhole attack and categorised them according to their *** analysis of literature has motivated our *** this paper,we developed the ESWI technique for detecting the wormhole attack while improving the performance and *** algorithm has been designed to be simple and less complicated to avoid the overheads and the drainage of energy in its *** simulation results of our technique show competitive results for the detection rate and packet delivery *** also gives an increased throughput,a decreased end-to-end delay,and a much-reduced consumption of energy.

Vehicles are becoming physical computer systems that connect with other cars and collect data from numerous pieces of equipment. These improvements contribute to developing smart and connected automobiles that will supply valuable data to owners, producers, insurance firms, and repair network operators for various uses. In post-accident circumstances, especially for auto vehicles (self-driving cars), using transportation data might help identify the guilty party. Verification, accessibility, secrecy, and dependability are all privacy needs for a vehicular ad hoc network. These criteria are linked to critical attacks that make operating a network difficult. However, to access different types of information in automobiles, we proposed a permissioned blockchain framework to organize the acquired transportation information among the numerous parts concerned. We incorporate the public key exchange protocol on the vehicle into the projected blockchain-based forensic system to ensure participation identification and anonymity. The proposed system offers a deep learning-based predictive incident modeling with blockchain for the incident data stored in the blockchain. Moreover, several methods have been combined in forensic management with blockchain to establish an auto-evaluation scheme. As a result, we extensively evaluated, analyzed, and discussed the works and contributions of skilled researchers to uncover new avenues in an ongoing and prospective study. Ecosystems are undergoing unprecedented persistent deterioration due to unsustainable anthropogenic human activities,such as overfishing and deforestation,and the effects of such damage on ecological stability are *** recent advances in experimental and theoretical studies on regime shifts and tipping points,theoretical tools for understanding the extinction chain,which is the sequence of species extinctions resulting from overexploitation,are still lacking,especially for large-scale nonlinear networked *** this study,we developed a mathematical tool to predict regime shifts and extinction chains in ecosystems under multiple exploitation situations and verified it in 26 real-world mutualistic networks of various sizes and *** discovered five phases during the exploitation process:safe,partial extinction,bistable,tristable,and collapse,which enabled the optimal design of restoration strategies for degraded or collapsed *** validated our approach using a 20-year dataset from an eelgrass restoration ***,we also found a specific region in the diagram spanning exploitation rates and competition intensities,where exploiting more species helps increase *** computational tool provides insights into harvesting,fishing,exploitation,or deforestation plans while conserving or restoring the biodiversity of mutualistic ecosystems.

Metaheuristic optimization algorithms present an effective method for solving several optimization problems from various types of applications and *** metaheuristics and evolutionary optimization algorithms have been emerged recently in the literature and gained widespread attention,such as particle swarm optimization(PSO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),grey wolf optimization algorithm(GWO),genetic algorithm(GA),and gravitational search algorithm(GSA).According to the literature,no one metaheuristic optimization algorithm can handle all present optimization *** novel optimization methodologies are still *** Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)search optimization algorithm is proposed in this *** proposed algorithm was motivated by the behavior of swarm members in achieving their global *** search space around local solutions to be explored is determined by Al-Biruni earth radius calculation method.A comparative analysis with existing state-of-the-art optimization algorithms corroborated the findings of BER’s validation and testing against seven mathematical optimization *** results show that BER can both explore and avoid local *** has also been tested on an engineering design optimization *** results reveal that,in terms of performance and capability,BER outperforms the performance of state-of-the-art metaheuristic optimization algorithms.

Metamaterial Antennas are a type of antenna that uses metamaterial to enhance *** bandwidth restriction associated with small antennas can be solved using metamaterial *** learning is gaining popularity as a way to improve solutions in a range of *** learning approaches are currently a big part of current research,and they’re likely to be huge in the *** model utilized determines the accuracy of the prediction in large *** goal of this paper is to develop an optimized ensemble model for forecasting the metamaterial antenna’s bandwidth and *** basic models employed in the developed ensemble are Support Vector Regression(SVR),K-NearestRegression(KNR),Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP),Decision Trees(DT),and Random Forest(RF).The percentages of contribution of these models in the ensemble model are weighted and optimized using the dipper throated optimization(DTO)*** choose the best features from the dataset,the binary(bDTO)algorithm is *** proposed ensemble model is compared to the base models and results are recorded and analyzed *** addition,two other ensembles are incorporated in the conducted experiments for *** ensembles are average ensemble and K-nearest neighbors(KNN)-based *** comparison is performed in terms of eleven evaluation *** evaluation results confirmed the superiority of the proposed model when compared with the basic models and the other ensemble models.

The landscape of cybersecurity in manufacturing exhibits a dynamic interplay between evolving threats and vulnerabilities against innovative defense mechanisms. With the increasing adoption of smart and cloud-controlled technologies, there is a growing emphasis on securing manufacturing systems from cyberattacks. Future trends indicate a shift toward implementing more advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for threat identification, attack detection, and response. In addition, the adoption of secure-by-design principles in product development and the integration of blockchain technology for ensuring the integrity of supply chain data are expected to become more prevalent. As manufacturers continue to digitize and connect their operations, collaboration between industry stakeholders, government agencies, and cybersecurity experts will be crucial in developing robust defense strategies against evolving security threats. This Special Issue provided a platform for the research advancing understanding of and addressing these threats. The article by Rahman et al., “Taxonomy-Driven Graph-Theoretic Framework for Manufacturing Cybersecurity Risk Modeling and Assessment,” presents a taxonomy-driven graph-theoretic model and framework to represent the threat landscape of cybersecurity and identify vulnerable manufacturing assets. The model and framework contain three techniques to address identified research challenges. First, the proposed framework characterizes threat actors' techniques, tactics, and procedures using taxonomical classifications of manufacturing-specific threat attributes and integrates these attributes into cybersecurity risk modeling. Second, using the attack graph formalism, the proposed framework enables concurrent modeling and analysis of a wide variety of cybersecurity threats comprising varying attack vectors, locations, vulnerabilities, and consequences. A computing system that is based on the internet and offers users all resources as on-demand services. Servers, storage, databases, software, and networking are among these on-demand services. Usually, the user must pay for the use of the resources;they are not their property. The number of people using this technology is increasing dramatically as a result of these features. Although it has benefits, cloud computing poses certain security and privacy risks. The authorized user’s data can be stolen easily. This current research thoroughly investigates modern strategies to these problems, highlighting identity management protocols, effective encryption and blockchain-based solutions. The article identifies research gaps, focuses attention to the inadequacies of current approaches, and recommends the possible ways to improve the efficiency, scalability and trustworthiness. © 2025 IEEE.

The development and optimisation of energy-efficient communication protocols that are specifically adapted for Internet of Things (IoT) devices is the focus of this research. The proliferation of interoperable bias has given rise to the converse girding energy consumption, which has come a consummate concern in the contemporary period. The primary end of this bid is to probe innovative approaches and protocols with the capacity to reduce the energy consumption of Internet of Effects(IoT) connections. As a result, the bias will retain the capability to attain an extended functional lifetime while coincidently producing a lowered environmental footmark. The presented protocols aim to achieve a result that balances the utilisation of energy coffers with the conservation of dependable communication. A thorough examination of the presently employed protocols, coupled with the perpetration of sophisticated optimisation ways, will be the styles employed to achieve this thing. Theprovides a significant donation to the development and prosecution of communication protocols that effectively address the unique energy constraints encountered by Internet of effects(10T)- connected ecosystems. This contributes to the enhancement of effectiveness and sustainability in the world of networked bias, which is expanding at an accelerated rate. © 2024 IEEE.
