The complex permeability of magnetic cores acts as a vital factor in electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering choke design and optimization. Many efforts have been reported for toroid cores, but fewer target those with other shapes, such as EE, EI, UU, and UI cores. Owing to their commonly used in planar EMI filters, determining the complex permeability of them is of significance. Targeting EE cores, this paper presents a flexible printed circuit board (PCB)-based fixture adapter tailored designed for performing the measurement, while the corresponding core permeability can be calculated through magnetic flux path length analysis. The experiments validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed methods, spanning a wide frequency range up to 120 MHz. ©2024 IEEE.

Euler-Lagrange (EL) systems represent a crucial and large class of dynamical systems, and a precise model of the true system would be beneficial in planning and tracking problems. This work aims to learn an unknown EL system using noisy measurement data to achieve improved data utilization efficiency. Specifically, for the considered EL system, a linear representation of the system is constructed using the Koopman operator, which is further characterized by sample data using Willems' fundamental lemma. Moreover, an event-triggered learning mechanism is proposed to improve data utilization efficiency, and it is designed based on the analysis of the learning error bounds. The effectiveness of the proposed event-triggered learning approach is validated through a manipulator example. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper,the problem of training a recurrent neural network(RNN) controller to approximate an active disturbance rejection control(ADRC) is *** learning methods,online learning and offline learning,are *** the online setting,the RNN learning controller is trained by the error of the control quantity compared to that of ADRC in real time,while for the offline setting,the RNN controller is trained by the error of the whole state trajectory compared to that of ADRC obtained in *** randomized weight initialization,success rates of trained online and offline RNN learning controllers are compared by ***,the robustness property of the trained RNN controller is analyzed.A metric of robustness,which can be calculated from the weights of the trained RNN controller is also proposed.

This paper develops a new decomposition algorithm for solving Electricity Market Pricing (EMP) problem, taking into account both revenue-adequacy and Fast Frequency Reserve (FFR) constraints. Due to revenue-adequacy constraint, a bilevel model of the EMP problem is introduced (BL-EMP). The upper level of the BL-EMP model represents the non-convex unit commitment (UC) decisions as well as the revenue-adequacy constraints of the market participants (generators, loads, and battery-storage owner). The lower level is a convex economic dispatch model with FFR constraint. To tackle the computational complexity of the considered BL-EMP model, this paper develops, tests, and proposes a Strengthened Primal-Dual Decomposition (SPDD) algorithm, which takes benefits from both Benders-like and Lagrange Dual-like algorithms. The new SPDD algorithm has a series of interesting computational properties, which are theoretically discussed in the paper. The SPDD algorithm has better computational performance than standard Benders decomposition algorithm and it also does not need tuning of the Big-M (or disjunctive) parameters for solving the proposed BL-EMP problem. Results from the modified IEEE 24-bus, the IEEE 118-bus, and the IEEE 300-bus system show the superiority of proposed SPDD algorithm over the classic Benders algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Remote sensing image classification has experienced three stages: pixel-level, object-level and scene-level. With the improvement of remote sensing image resolution, pixel-level and object-level methods cannot be completely correctly classified, and thus, scene classification is the current focus of this research. We consider the complex background of remote sensing images, the existence of many small objects and the large scale of change, as well as intraclass diversity and interclass similarity. Through the salient regions and features in remote sensing images, a dual attention dense network is proposed. In addition, an adaptive spatial attention module and an adaptive channel attention module are designed. Specifically, the network combines the output of the two proposed attention modules as the feature representation. Among them, the adaptive parameter activation function is introduced into the adaptive spatial attention module, and different nonlinear transformations are performed on the input features in the spatial attention network to achieve attention on important regions. By capturing the adaptive cross channel interaction range to learn channel attention, important weights of each channel are generated and an adaptive parameter activation function is introduced to adjust the feature values of different channels, thereby acting with the global features to achieve attention on the salient features. We present extensive experiments on three scene classification datasets, including the UCM dataset, the AID dataset and the OPTIMAL dataset, and compare them with various algorithms. This paper studies the stabilization problem of discrete-time two-dimensional (2-D) systems represented by Roesser based on available data. First of all, based on the pre-collected input-state data, the original system is transformed into a data-based form. Then a set is established to represent all systems capable of generating the given data, thereby indirectly stabilizing the original system by stabilizing all systems within this set. Next, by utilizing the S-procedure, sufficient conditions are established for the resultant closed-loop systems that incorporate a state feedback controller based on collected data. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper explores the application of non-cooperative game theory in achieving optimal prescribed performance control for uncertain underactuated mechanical systems. The study addresses scenarios characterized by time-varying (potentially rapid) and bounded uncertainties. Utilizing a constraint-following control design approach, we apply the prescribed transient and steady-state performance (TSSP) criteria to the constraint-following error. Additionally, we employ state transformation techniques to implement the prescribed performance control. We introduce a prescribed performance control methodology with two adjustable parameters and demonstrate the process of determining the optimal design for these parameters through Nash games. Our findings indicate a significant enhancement in the overall system performance, thus confirming the efficacy of the optimization method grounded in non-cooperative game theory. © 2024 IEEE.

Bearing remaining useful life(RUL) prediction is critical for safe operation of rotating *** this paper,we propose a combined RUL prediction approach that leverages both trajectory similarity and relevance vector machine(RVM).The similarity based prediction relies on historical degradation trajectories that are highly similar to the online data,hence would perform poorly if all historical trajectories have low similarity with the online *** RVM based prediction relies solely on a regression model learned from the available online data,thus gives an inaccurate prediction when insufficient data are available in the early stage of degradation.A weighted sum of these above two predictions is proposed to address the limitation of each single prediction method,whose weights are determined by solving a non-negative least squares fitting *** further improve RUL prediction accuracy,we distinguish between fast and slow degradation modes,so that each mode uses a different set of historical degradation trajectories and kernel *** doing so,we predict RUL under the identified *** case study using the PHM2012 dataset demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed RUL prediction approach.
