Active Disturbance Rejection control for Uncertain Nonlinear systems With Sporadic Measurements

This paper deals with the problem of active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)design for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with sporadic measurements.A novel extended state observer(ESO)is designed in a cascade form consisting of a continuous time estimator,a continuous observation error predictor,and a reset *** proposed ESO estimates not only the system state but also the total uncertainty,which may include the effects of the external perturbation,the parametric uncertainty,and the unknown nonlinear *** a reset compensator,whose state is reset to zero whenever a new measurement arrives,is used to calibrate the *** to the cascade structure,the resulting error dynamics system is presented in a non-hybrid form,and accordingly,analyzed in a general sampled-data system *** on the output of the ESO,a continuous ADRC law is then *** convergence of the resulting closed-loop system is proved under given *** numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

As space technology advances,thermal control systems must effectively collect and dissipate heat from distributed,multi-source *** heat pipe is a highly reliable two-phase heat transfer component,but it has several limitations when addressing multi-source heat *** by the transport and heat dissipation system of plants,large trees achieve stable and efficient liquid supply under the influence of two driving forces:capillary force during transpiration in the leaves(pull)and root pressure generated by osmotic pressure in the roots(push).The root pressure provides an effective liquid supply with a driving force exceeding 2 MPa,far greater than the driving force in conventional capillary-pumped two-phase *** has shown that osmotic heat pipes offer a powerful driving force,and combining osmotic pressure with capillary force has significant ***,this paper designs a multi-evaporator,dual-drive two-phase loop,using both osmotic pressure and capillary force to solve the multi-source heat dissipation ***,a transmembrane water flux model for the osmotic pressure-driven device was established to predict the maximum heat transfer capacity of the dual-drive two-phase ***,an experimental setup for a multi-evaporator“osmotic pressure+capillary force”dual-drive two-phase loop was constructed,capable of transferring at least 235 W of power under a reverse gravity condition of 20 *** study also analyzed the effects of reverse gravity height,heat load distribution among the three evaporators,startup sequence,and varying branch resistances on the performance of the dual-drive two-phase loop.

In this study,a new comprehensive fully coupled elastic–hydrodynamic model is developed for a multi-layer gas foil thrust bearing(GFTB).The interaction effects among the top foil,back board,middle foil,and bottom foil,as well as the Coulomb friction effect,are *** stiffness and static characteristics obtained by the experimental and theoretical approaches are in good agreement,which verifies the accuracy of the *** contribution of each foil layer to the overall stiffness and the load-carrying mechanism are *** effects of the load,preload,and rotational speed on the static performance are investigated ***,start–stop tests are performed to achieve the lift-off speed,start-up torque,and shut-down torque under various operating conditions.

Recently, a reference derived some new higher-order output tracking properties for direct model reference adaptive control（MRAC） of linear time-invariant（LTI） systems: limt→∞ e（i）（t） = 0, i = 1,..., n*-1, where n*and e（i）（t） denote the relative degree of the system and the i-th derivative of the output tracking error, respectively. However, a naturally arising question involves whether indirect adaptive control（including indirect MRAC and indirect adaptive pole placement control） of LTI systems still has higher-order tracking properties. Such properties have not been reported in the literature. Therefore, this paper provides an affirmative answer to this question. Such higher-order tracking properties are new discoveries since they hold without any additional design conditions and, in particular, without the persistent excitation condition. Given the higher-order properties, a new adaptive control system is developed with stronger tracking features.（1） It can track a reference signal with any order derivatives being unknown.（2） It has higher-order exponential or practical output tracking properties.（3） Finally, it is different from the usual MRAC system, whose reference signal's derivatives up to the n*order are assumed to be known. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to verify the theoretical results obtained in this paper.

Soil extracellular electron transfer(EET)is a pivotal biological process within the realm of ***,EET suffers from a lack of predictive ***,an intricately crafted machine learning model has been developed for the purpose of predicting soil EET by using the physicochemical properties of soil as independent input variables and the EET capabilities in terms of current density(j_(max))and Coulombic charge(C_(out))as dependent output *** autoencoder ensemble stacking(AES)model was developed to address the aforementioned issue by integrating support vector machine,multilayer perceptron,extreme gradient boosting,and light gradient boosting machine algorithms as the stacking *** 10-fold crossvalidation,the AES model exhibited notable improvements in predicting j_(max)and C_(out),with average test R^(2)values of 0.83 and 0.84,respectively,surpassing those of single machine learning(ML)models and the basic ensemble *** utilizing partial correlation plots(PDPs),Shapley Additive explanations(SHAP)values,and SHAP decision plots,we quantitatively explained the impact and contribution of the input molecules on the AES model’s predictions of j_(max)and C_(out).In the context of the SHAP method for the AES model,total carbon(TC)was identified as the most correlated descriptor for j_(max),while total organic carbon(TOC)stood out as the most relevant descriptor for C_(out).In the prediction tasks of j_(max)and C_(out)within the AES model,employing a multitask ML approach allowed the model to benefit from the shared information of input variables,thereby enhancing its overall *** study provides a feasible tool for the prediction of soil EET from soil physiochemical properties and an advanced understanding of the relationship between soil physiochemical properties and EET capability.

This article investigates the extended dissipative finite-time boundedness (ED-FTB) problem for fuzzy switched systems under deception attacks. To improve the network resource efficiency, a multidomain probabilistic event-triggered mechanism (MDPETM) is proposed. The mode mismatched phenomenon is modeled based on the switching delay information between the controller mode and the system mode. To extract the true signal generated by the MDPETM, a virtual delay concept is developed. The constraint that the controller and the system must have the same premise variables is removed. Based on the MDPETM, mismatched fuzzy state feedback controllers are first devised which may not share the same modes with the system. Then, by establishing fuzzy basis and controller mode-dependent Lyapunov functionals, sufficient criteria free of nonlinear terms existing in the literature are derived, which ensure the ED-FTB of the closed-loop system under admissible delays and deception attacks. Finally, an application-oriented one-link robotic arm system is utilized to validate the theoretical results. © 2013 IEEE.

In the operation of large-diameter PMSM system, position detection is the key and difficult point. The large-diameter permanent magnet synchronous motor studied in this paper has a load in the center and there is no bearing at the bottom of the center, which limits the position detection, so the off-axis position detection scheme is adopted. In view of the above factors, this paper proposes a position detection scheme for large-diameter PMSM based on magnetic encoder, designs a magnetic encoder processing circuit, uses an advanced AMR sensor as a magnetic sensing sensor to collect position information, and uses PLL to demodulate the sine and cosine pairs output by the sensor to obtain position information. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

The interturn short-circuit (ITSC) fault, being a frequently occurring issue, often leads to a significant ITSC current in the high-speed permanent-magnet starter generator (HSPMSG), thereby limiting their application to industries with strict reliability requirements, such as aviation. Moreover, the tolerance of ITSC faults typically contradicts power density. This paper conducted a multi-objective optimization design of HSPMSG to achieve a balance between power density and ITSC current, ensuring the possibility of long-term operation under ITSC fault while maintaining competitive power density. Firstly, the key parameters that affect ITSC current and power density were selected as the optimized variables, and then the multi-physics field constraints were studied. Subsequently, an optimized design process was developed and implemented. Finally, the optimal scheme was confirmed considering its performance and technological feasibility. The research will facilitate the rapid utilization of HSPMSGs in aviation power generation systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The multi-point dynamic aggregation(MPDA)problem is a challenging real-world *** the MPDA problem,the demands of tasks keep changing with their inherent incremental rates,while a heterogeneous robot fleet is required to travel between these tasks to change the time-varying state of each *** robots are allowed to collaborate on the same task or work separately until all tasks are *** is challenging to generate an effective task execution plan due to the tight coupling between robots abilities and tasks'incremental rates,and the complexity of robot *** effectiveness consideration,we use the variable length encoding to avoid redundancy in the solution *** creatively use the adaptive large neighborhood search(ALNS)framework to solve the MPDA *** the proposed algorithm,high-quality initial solutions are generated through multiple problem-specific solution construction *** heuristics are also used to fix the broken solution in the novel integrated decoding-construction repair process of the ALNS *** results of statistical analysis by the Wilcoxon rank-sum test demonstrate that the proposed ALNS can obtain better task execution plans than some state-of-the-art algorithms in most MPDA instances.
