The article established that for the selected metro train of KP "Kyiv Metropoliten", given conditions of its operation, selected types of storage systems, a system consisting of capacitor modules of type BMOD0165P048 C01 manufactured by Maxwell technologies Inc. is rational. At the same time, the energy capacity of the system is 2.2 kWh, and the maximum power is 3.3 MW. The payback period of this storage system is 4.6 years, weight is 0.92 t, volume is 0.94 m3. Implementation of a rational storage system on a metro train will allow savings of 14.8 % of the electrical energy volume consumed per traction. The dependence of the payback period of the storage system on the energy capacity and power of the on-board capacitive energy storage was obtained. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the saving of energy resources and the improvement of environmental indicators in the metro. © 2023 Kaunas University of Technology. Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors have shown competitive potential for applications into beyond-silicon electronics. However, the controllable electrical characteristic of metal-semiconductor interfaces is still a challenge for high performance electronics due to Fermi level pinning. To explore Ti3C2T2/MoS2 (T= OH, F, O) for high performance electronics, the vertical electric field and interlayer distance are adopted here to regulate the electrical characteristic of interfaces based on the first-principles calculations. Though this, the electrical characteristic of Ti3C2O2/MoS2 and Ti3C2F2/MoS2 are more sensitive to electric field or interlayer distance than that of Ti3C2(OH)2/MoS2. Especially, the negative electric field with larger than -0.2 V/Å makes Ti3C2O2/MoS2 interface change from p-type Schottky to n-type Schottky contact. Furthermore, the Ti3C2O2/MoS2 interface can not only switch from p-type Schottky to n-type Schottky contact, but also from p-type Schottky to n-type Ohmic contact by varying interlayer distance. Moreover, the tunneling barriers of all interfaces are more sensitive to interlayer distance than to electric field. This work provides vital insights for high-performance electronics of Ti3C2T2/MoS2 (T=OH, F, O) in experiments. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

A Novel Lane Line Detection Based on Multi-feature Fusion and Windows Searching

Lane detection embedded in intelligent vehicles can greatly improve the security of automatic driving. This work offers a new approach towards lane detection in the video in real-time combining multi-feature fusion and window searching. As the pre-procession, polygon filling is adopted to locate ROI (Region of Interest) in the video frames, which contain the lane-lines to be detected. To remove the backgrounds in the ROIs, we extract and fuse the features of color, histogram, and gradient of line lanes. Based on the density distribution of the pixels in the line lanes, the initial location is found by homography transformation. Then all candidate pixel points in the whole lane-line are extracted in the way of window searching. Finally, On the basis of the obtained lane-mark coordinates, a curve model is defined, and the model parameters are obtained by Least Square Estimation (LSE). Experimental results show the robustness and instantaneity of the proposed algorithm with the accuracy of 96% and the detecting time of only 20.7ms. Due to the widespread use of the JPEG format, non-aligned double JPEG (NA-DJPEG) compression is very common in image tampering. Therefore, non-aligned double JPEG compression detection has attracted significant attention in digital forensics in recent years. In most of the previous detection algorithms, grayscale images are used directly, or color images are first converted into grayscale images and then processed. However, it is worth noting that most tampered images are color images. To make full use of the color information in images, a detection algorithm, which uses color images directly, is put forward in this paper. The algorithm based on refined Markov in quaternion discrete cosine transform (QDCT) domain is proposed for NA-DJPEG compression detection. Firstly, color information of a given JPEG image is extracted from blocked images to construct quaternion, and then block image QDCT coefficient matrices, including amplitude and three angles (ψ, , and θ) can be obtained. Secondly, the refined Markov features are generated from the transition probability matrix in the corresponding refinement process. Our proposed refinement method not only reduces redundant features but also makes the acquired features more efficient in detection. Therefore, the refined Markov features can not only capture the intra-block correlation between block QDCT coefficients but also improve computing efficiency in real-time. Finally, support vector machine (SVM) method is employed for NA-DJPEG compression detection. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only make use of color information of images, but also can achieve better detection performance with small size images (i.e., 64 × 64) outperforming state-of-the-art detection methods tested on the same dataset. © 2019, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

MetAug: Contrastive Learning via Meta Feature Augmentation

What matters for contrastive learning? We argue that contrastive learning heavily relies on informative features, or "hard" (positive or negative) features. Early works include more informative features by applying complex data augmentations and large batch size or memory bank, and recent works design elaborate sampling approaches to explore informative features. The key challenge toward exploring such features is that the source multi-view data is generated by applying random data augmentations, making it infeasible to always add useful information in the augmented data. Consequently, the informativeness of features learned from such augmented data is limited. In response, we propose to directly augment the features in latent space, thereby learning discriminative representations without a large amount of input data. We perform a meta learning technique to build the augmentation generator that updates its network parameters by considering the performance of the encoder. However, insufficient input data may lead the encoder to learn collapsed features and therefore malfunction the augmentation generator. A new margin-injected regularization is further added in the objective function to avoid the encoder learning a degenerate mapping. To contrast all features in one gradient back-propagation step, we adopt the proposed optimization-driven unified contrastive loss instead of the conventional contrastive loss. PCB routing becomes time-consuming as the complexity of PCB design increases. Unlike traditional schemes that treat the two essential PCB routing processes separately, namely, escape and bus routing, we consider the continuity between them and present a golden-pin-based routing scheme to find the desired solution with angle and topology constraints. Further, conventional rip-up and reroute methods are often ineffective and inefficient for congestion alleviation and routability optimization. We construct a component graph by modeling components as vertices and applying the minimum weight vertex covering method to improve the routability. A self-adaptable ordering method is presented for escape routing to arrange the pin order on the component boundary, guaranteeing successful bus routing. In addition, escape routing is performed based on a disjoint path method. We construct a dynamic Hanan grid in bus routing and utilize a novel congestion adjustment technique to improve solution quality. Compared with FreeRouting and Allegro, the experiment results show that our algorithm achieves high routability and a significant 90% runtime reduction.

In this work, we present a lossless compression technique based on the use of the A-law companding algorithm, associated with the inter-leads correlation to compress ECG signals by reducing the dynamic range and number of encoded signals. Experiments are conducted on the selected records from the PTB Arrhythmia Database, and the performance is evaluated using the compression ratio (CR) and the percent root mean square difference (PRD). the results show that this technique efficiently retains pathological informations, whether for patients in normal condition or with arrhythmias, a total compression ratio CR of 4.92 is achieved with a PRD of 0 %.

Contrastive learning (CL)-based self-supervised learning models learn visual representations in a pairwise manner. Although the prevailing CL model has achieved great progress, in this paper, we uncover an ever-overlooked phenomenon: When the CL model is trained with full images, the performance tested in full images is better than that in foreground areas;when the CL model is trained with foreground areas, the performance tested in full images is worse than that in foreground areas. This observation reveals that backgrounds in images may interfere with the model learning semantic information and their influence has not been fully eliminated. To tackle this issue, we build a Structural Causal Model (SCM) to model the background as a confounder. We propose a backdoor adjustment-based regularization method, namely Interventional Contrastive Learning with Meta Semantic Regularizer (ICL-MSR), to perform causal intervention towards the proposed SCM. ICL-MSR can be incorporated into any existing CL methods to alleviate background distractions from representation learning. Theoretically, we prove that ICL-MSR achieves a tighter error bound. Empirically, our experiments on multiple benchmark datasets demonstrate that ICL-MSR is able to improve the performances of different state-of-the-art CL methods. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. Solving linear systems of equations plays a fundamental role in numerous computational problems from different fields of science. The widespread use of numerical methods to solve these systems motivates investigating the feasibility of solving linear systems problems using quantum computers. In this work, we provide a survey of the main advances in quantum linear systems algorithms, together with some applications. We summarize and analyze the main ideas behind some of the algorithms for the quantum linear systems problem in the literature. The analysis begins by examining the Harrow-Hassidim-Lloyd (HHL) solver. We note its limitations and reliance on computationally expensive quantum methods, then highlight subsequent research efforts which aimed to address these limitations and optimize runtime efficiency and precision via various paradigms. We focus in particular on the post-HHL enhancements which have paved the way towards optimal lower bounds with respect to error tolerance and condition number. By doing so, we propose a taxonomy that categorizes these studies. Furthermore, by contextualizing these developments within the broader landscape of quantum computing, we explore the foundational work that have inspired and informed their development, as well as subsequent refinements. Finally, we discuss the potential applications of these algorithms in differential equations, quantum machine learning, and many-body physics. © 2024, CC BY.

Mental fatigue of the brain will cause the weakening of the psychological and physiological functions of the human body, which increases the risk of mistakes and accidents. This paper designs a mental fatigue detection and mitigation system based on human physiological signals and classical music. Through the fatigue assessment and mitigation experiment on 20 healthy subjects, it is verified that the system is able to judge the mental fatigue state of the subjects and play classical music to mitigate fatigue via acquiring and analyzing (alpha+theta)/beta of electroencephalogram (EEG) and heart rate variability (HRV) of ballistocardiogram (BCG). The designed system realizes signal acquisition and fatigue analysis only through using portable device, this makes it have certain application value in office building, hospital, aircraft driving and other scenes.
