Traceability has been an important subject in the research world to be investigated. In software engineering, traceability has been crucial for software development processes. In food domain, traceability has also been seen as an important topic for tracing food content of various food products and operations. In this paper, we present a software product line (SPL) based traceability model for food document tracing. The results from the proposed model show the applicability of SPL-based traceability technique to be used in food document tracing operation.

At present,great demands are posed on software *** how to elicit the dependability requirements is still a challenging *** paper proposes a novel approach to address this *** essential idea is to model a dependable software system as a feedforward-feedback control system,and presents the use cases+control cases model to express the requirements of the dependable software *** this model,while the use cases are adopted to model the functional requirements,two kinds of control cases(namely the feedforward control cases and the feedback control cases)are designed to model the dependability *** use cases+control cases model provides a unified framework to integrate the modeling of the functional requirements and the dependability requirements at a high abstract *** guide the elicitation of the dependability requirements,a HAZOP based process is also designed.A case study is conducted to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Cataract is a lens opacification caused by protein denaturation which leads to a decrease in vision and even results in complete blindness at later stages. The concept of a classification system of automatic cataract detection based on retinal fundus images has been proposed in previous research work which consists of fundus image preprocessing, feature extraction and the building of classifier. This paper proposes to make use of the method of PCA (principal component analysis) to reduce the dimensionality of two sets of features extracted from fundus images which are wavelet features and sketch features, respectively. We find the classification accuracy rate based on new features after PCA transformation is nearly the same with the original ones, but the computation cost can really be decreased a lot. Experiment results provide a bright foresight in later practical application of classification system of automatic cataract detection.

In this paper we proposed a demodulation scheme based on tunable FP filter for the WDM/FDM sensing system of the microstructure mentioned in the previous work. Simulation is done to prove the feasibility of demodulating the microstructure with the tunable FP filter. The experiments result showed high consistence with the simulation. And with the help of the high speed FPGA module and a high resolution AD/DA card, the system has achieved a very high resolution, up to 2.5 pm, and wavelength ranges 1520nm to 1590 nm.

Social media plays a fundamental role in the diffusion of information. There are two different ways of information diffusion in social media platforms such as Twitter and Weibo. Users can either re-share messages posted by their friends or re-create messages based on the information acquired from other non-local information sources such as the mass media. By analyzing around 60 million messages from a large micro-blog site, we find that about 69% of the diffusion volume can be attributed to users' re-sharing behaviors, and the remaining 31% are caused by users' re-creating behaviors. The information diffusions caused by the two kinds of behaviors have different characteristics and variation trends, but most existing models of information diffusion do not distinguish them. The recent availability of massive online social streams allows us to study the process of information diffusion in much finer detail. In this paper, we introduce a novel model to capture and simulate the process of information diffusion in the micro-blog platforms, which distinguishes users' re-sharing behaviors from re-creating behaviors by introducing two different components. Thus, our model not only considers the effect of the underlying network structure, but also the influence of other non-local information sources. The empirical results show the superiority of our proposed model in the fitting and prediction tasks of information diffusion.

VR controllers use different sensors that are also included in modern mobile phones. This opens up the possibility of using mobile phones to control virtual reality. In our work, we focus on such possibilities, the few existing solutions and their shortcomings serving as our points of depart. We designed a control system based on metaphors from other areas that were adapted to VR control with a mobile phone. We consequently proceeded to compare our system with the traditional control with keyboard and mouse. This article contains the results of this comparison and the discussion. Copyright © 2014 ACM.
