Lack of hearing ability hinders deaf children from mastering grammar in language studies. Unfortunately, such software targeting Malay language is limited. This paper attempts to generate new approach in handling such software. These include detection of defects when switching into local languages, date format and accommodating the local laws. The acceptance of international software for local use goes beyond just these aspects. For this purpose, software that supports the multi-languages is evaluated. The main research question of this paper: The lack of cultural dimensions in localisation testing of assistive technology decreases the effectiveness of localisation testing of the localised software. On the account of cultural dimensions, Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions will be experimented to study which cultural dimensions are most suited for such software. From our empirical results, the failure rate of the testing is higher compared to incorporating culture dimensions.

In the present paper we focus on online monitoring system for predictive maintenance based on sensor automated inputs. Our subject was a device from Maritsa East 2 power plant - a mill fan. The main sensor information we have access to is based on the vibration of the nearest to the mill rotor bearing block. Our aim was to create a (nonlinear) model able to predict on time possible changes in vibrations tendencies that can be early signal for system work deterioration. For that purpose recently developed kind of Recurrent Neural Networks named Echo state networks were applied. The preliminary investigations showed their good approximation ability for our purpose. Direction of future work will be increasing of predications time horizon.

The existing service migration methods bring the server cluster heavy burden, and their time spending is so high that seriously affects the service continuity. In order to enhance the survivability of IP network services, the paper puts forward an intent-perceptible service migration model (ISM). In this model, we design a novel trigger mechanism and object selecting method for service migration, and make the service migration intention perceptible for the client with the cooperation of the server. The evaluation results show that ISM model can not only ensure the service invulnerability by maintaining a high randomness of service migration, but also improve the service continuity by reducing the service gap time spending on service migration to the maximum extent. Therefore, ISM model can enhance IP network survivability efficiently.

In this work Bistatic Inverse Forward Scattering Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (BFISAR) concept is addressed. Geometric description of BFISAR topology with stationary transmitter and receiver, and moving target is given. Kinematic vector equations are derived. Mathematical model of BFISAR signal with linear frequency modulation (LFM) is described. It is proved that BFISAR signal formation and image reconstruction can be interpreted as direct and inverse projective operation respectively. Through Taylor expansion of the projective operator basic image reconstruction procedures, including phase correction, Fourier transform range compression and Fourier transform azimuth compression are defined. Numerical experiment to verify mathematical models derived is carried out.

This paper presents classification of DRDO tender documents into predefined categories. Since there is a consistent growth in the volume of digital documents, both on the internet and within organizations, the need to classify them into categories is obvious. In this paper we used `bag-of-words' technique to represent the tender documents. The dataset was prepared and fed into Weka toolkit. Classification was implemented by Naïve Bayes classifier using 10-folds cross validation technique. The machine resulted in classifying the tender documents with an accuracy of 77.36% by technology category and 67.2% by lab's name.

As an emerging portable service platform, OSGi is now taking a more and more important role in Ubiquitous Computing environment. As a module management framework, OSGi provides the functions of dynamic loading and unloading software modules at runtime. But its use is limited because it is centralized and single programming language supported. In this paper we present LIR-OSGi, an extended framework of OSGi, which is designed to add the distribution and programming language independence to OSGi. Meanwhile it is easy to use for developers because of the transparence of service invocation and automation of distribution. Not like OSGi which can be applied only on the Java platform, LIR-OSGi makes programs which may be written in different programming languages be able to call each other transparently so that it can be applied in many different platforms such as DotNet Framework and so on. This brings much convenience to the program development in a distributed and heterogeneous environment.

Three-dimensional fuzzy logic controller (3-D FLC) is a novel FLC developed for spatially distributed parameter systems. In this study, we are concerned with data-based 3-D FLC design. A nearest neighborhood clustering algorithm is employed to extract fuzzy rules from input-output data pairs, and then an optimization algorithm based on geometric similarity measure is used to reduce the obtained rule base. The consequent parameters are estimated using linear support vector regression. Finally, a catalytic packed-bed reactor is taken as an application to demonstrate the effectiveness of the 3-D FLC.
