Medical devices at the point-of-care can be interconnected through standardised communication protocols to build an Integrated Clinical Environment (ICE), but in order to interoperate with clinical information systems, different data exchange standards need to be conformed to. The emerging HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) framework appeals to developers and clinicians alike and is a promising candidate to modernise this domain. Novel IEEE 11073 standard proposals that specify a service-oriented architecture of networked medical devices are one example for an ICE architecture. They are based on expressing a device's capabilities and state in a machine-readable way in order to be safely accessed and manipulated by other participants in the networked device system. In this work, the domain information and service model of this ICE architecture was mapped to FHIR resources that were constrained and extended to support the modelling of this device architecture. Through the definition of a FHIR profile, the data structures were aligned, effectively allowing for the transformation of medical device observation data from ICE to FHIR representation without the need for any proprietary interface. The implementation of this transformation, e. g. as a gateway, bridges the structural interoperability gap between two contemporary communication architectures for medical devices and clinical information systems and thus lays the foundation for semantic interoperability that can be achieved through the combined use with controlled vocabularies. The consequent availability of device data enables secondary usage such as large-scale data analytics. Future sub-profiles for specific device types further simplify the transformation.

Application of proper orthogonal decomposition and radial basis functions for crack size estimation using particle swarm optimization

Complex engineering problems require simulations, which are computationally expensive in cases of inverse identification tasks since they commonly requires hundreds of thousands of simulations. This paper propose a method based on model reduction for crack size estimation, combining the proper orthogonal decomposition method with radial basis functions. The reduced model is validated by comparing the obtained boundary displacements with the corresponding results from a finite element model. This inverse procedure is formulated as the minimization of the difference between the measured and computed values of displacement at selected boundary nodes, called sensor points, using particle swarm optimization algorithm. Convex and a non-convex specimens have been considered for investigations of crack presence, and identification of its size, different crack sizes have been tested to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.

Bidirectional transformations(BXs), programs with a forward transformation and a backward transformation that maintain consistency between input and output, are routinely written in ways that do not let programmers specify their behavior completely. Several bidirectional programming languages exist to aid programmers in writing BXs with increased maintainability but decreased expressiveness. Such languages allow programmers to write BXs as one program for both directions, which is easier to maintain than separate programs for each direction. However, the maintainability provided by existing bidirectional languages comes at the cost of expressiveness because the ambiguity of synchronization is solved by default strategies which are hidden from programmers. The programmers’ inability to influence synchronization strategies has led to the proposal of a vast number of approaches that consider tailor-made synchronization strategies for particular *** this paper, we argue that such ambiguity is essential for BX and advocate that the synchronization strategy should not be hidden from programmers but considered from the start. We propose a novel approach to specifying so-called well-behaved bidirectional programs by their backward transformations, capable of expressing all aspects of a BX while retaining maintainability. Soundness of our approach results from a systematic analysis, based on existing mathematical concepts, of the instrumental laws of well-behaved BXs. We show that well-behaved BXs are uniquely determined by their backward transformations and corresponding forward transformations can be obtained for free.

In this paper, the state estimation problem is investigated for a class of discrete-time stochastic neural networks with event-triggered transmission(ETT) mechanism. Different from the traditional periodic communication mechanism, the ETT mechanism employed in this paper possesses the advantage of mitigating the network traf c resulting from the unnecessary sending and receiving data between the sensors and the estimators. Moreover, the proposed ETT mechanism is implemented individually for each neuron. That is, the measurement output of each neuron is transmitted to the estimator only when its corresponding triggering condition with the speci ed triggering threshold is satis ed, thereby re ecting the engineering practice in a more realistic way. The aim of the addressed problem is to design an estimator for the neural networks subject to the ETT mechanism such that the estimation error is asymptotically bounded in the mean square. Furthermore, the estimator gain matrix is explicitly parameterized in the sense of minimizing such an asymptotic error upper bound. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results.

Recommending an optimized path for a large crowd poses a unique challenge to existing routing algorithms due to the interactions between users and the dynamic changes over road networks. Industries, researchers and end users show an enormous interest in crowdsourced data comprising social networks and user-generated content to remain updated with their concerns. In this paper, we present a data collection framework that helps users to find optimized routes in a dynamic environment. We have developed a data collection framework to collect dynamic road conditions via a set of location-based services to support a very large Hajj crowd by capturing their locations using smartphones. We also collect geotagged social network data that provides more details about road conditions. The system leverages geotagged crowdsourced information to identify constraints such as accidents, congestions, and roadblocks. Moreover, by continuously collecting real-time geotagged data of moving users, the system can also find the flow of traffic and road conditions. We propose a spatial grid index to compute the optimized path, and to identify the affected users within impact zones. The plan is to test the whole application and back-end server during Hajj 2016, where over three million pilgrims from all over the world gather to perform their rituals. © 2015 IEEE.

computer and web security system is an attempt to avoid attacks from crackers because a form and method of crime on internet network can not be predicted. Therefore, we just keep trying to use various methods in securing the system that is running. It is the same in web testing that can be accessed online by people who are not responsible from along distance to change and remove the test results or even damage the web testing system. So, the purpose of this paper is to design and implement web security testing system by using semantic comparison method to avoid structured query language injection (SQLI) attack and to do security on web testing application using Message Digest 5 encryption (MD5). Research data were obtained by using direct observation and documentation and literature review. After the design and application of the system, it can be obtained that by using semantic comparison method in web testing can prevent the occurrence of SQL injection attacks and can secure account from web testing users by using MD5.

Rolling element bearings constitute the key parts on rotating machinery and their fault diagnosis are of great importance. In this paper, a novel Two-Step fault diagnosis framework is proposed to diagnose the status of rolling element bearings with imbalanced data. The Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) is used to determine the feature vectors. 16-dimensional wavelet packet node energies were extracted from the original datasets as the feature vectors prepared to input to the classifiers. Next, our proposed framework consists of two steps for the fault diagnosis, where Step One makes use of Weighted Extreme Learning Machine (weighted ELM) in an effort to classify the normal or abnormal categories, and Step Two further diagnoses the underlying anomaly in details. The effectiveness of our proposed approach is testified on the raw data collected from the rolling element bearing experiments conducted in our institute, and the empirical results showed that our approach is really fast and can achieve the diagnosis accuracies more than 95%.
