Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

This paper investigates the covert communication in a satellite-terrestrial system, including a satellite transmitter Alice, a terrestrial full-duplex receiver Bob and a terrestrial warden Willie. To help the covert transmission from Alice, the full-duplex Bob transmits the jamming signal to confuse Willie and also receives the signal from Alice simultaneously. To explore the fundamental covertness in such a system, we first provide theoretical modelings for satellite-terrestrial downlink, and the detection error probability of Willie. Based on these models, we then study the transmit power optimization for covert rate maximization. Finally, we present extensive numerical results to validate our theoretical analysis and to illustrate the impact of various system parameters on the maximum covert rate. © 2024 IEEE.

This article proposes a novel Peeling of Nano-Particle (PNP) process to locally remove material on a hard material surface using controllable magnetic fields. Fe3O4 particles in the size range of 50-100 nm in aqueous solution (pH value 11 adjusted by KOH) were magnetically controlled to adhere and remove from a 4H-SiC surface by two electromagnetic coils, which were sandwiched between the substrate. The particle controlling phenomenon on the surface was experimentally observed and verified by our developed apparatus applying an evanescent field. According to the results, particles could be controlled to approach and remove from the substrate surface with 12mT of magnetic field at the selective area on the substrate surface to realise the proposed PNP process. © European Society for Precision engineering and Nanotechnology, Conference Proceedings - 22nd International Conference and Exhibition, EUSPEN 2022. Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

In the wet semiconductor process, abrasive nanoparticles are widely used in the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process to polish wafer surfaces for high planarization. During polishing, nanoparticles move with a high-speed three-dimensional (3D) position in the solution. In the 3D particles's moving positions, Z is a perpendicular longitudinal distance between the surface to the nanoparticle that plays a significant role in polishing, which could not be measured by general microscopy without longitudinal scanning. To understand nanoparticle phenomena near-surface, we have proposed and developed the apparatus with real-time fastmotion tracking on optical multi-wavelength evanescent fields microscopy to measure the 3D motion of the nanoparticle in water without scanning. In euspen's 2020, we could verify the relative distance ?Z of nanoparticles in water, but the absolute distance Z is unknown yet. In this manuscript, we have therefore developed an invisible nano-step height in water to verify the absolute height Z of an individual nanoparticle. The invisible nano-step height in water is made from an optical resin with a refractive index of 1.35 that is close to a refractive index of water to avoid unnecessary light during experimental verification. The nano-step height was less than 100 nm on a glass surface, fabricated using nanoimprint lithography. Polystyrene f100 nm standard particles in water were used to verify the height Z. The results of height Z of nanoparticles could be measured less than 100 nm with the measurement uncertainty ±10 nm (2s), which is related to the interferometer result of the nano-step height. © European Society for Precision engineering and Nanotechnology, Conference Proceedings - 22nd International Conference and Exhibition, EUSPEN 2022. Thermal analysis is a crucial and time-consuming step in the optimization design process of high-frequency transformers (HFTs). This paper proposes an improved thermal analysis method based on heat dissipation-conduction two-step simulation, significantly reducing the computation time while ensuring the accuracy of thermal analysis. Simulation results validate the accuracy and of the proposed method and demonstrate that the proposed method saves 82% of computation time for a single thermal analysis case compared to direct CFD. Experimental results further verify the accuracy of the proposed method. An exemplary application of the proposed method in the optimization design of the HFT illustrates a 98% reduction in computation time for thermal analysis during the optimization process. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper,we present a novel adaptive performance control approach for strict-feedback nonparametric systems with unknown time-varying control coefficients,which mainly includes the following ***,by introducing several key transformation functions and selecting the initial value of the time-varying scaling function,the symmetric prescribed performance with global and semi-global properties can be handled uniformly,without the need for control ***,to handle the problem of unknown time-varying control coefficient with an unknown sign,we propose an enhanced Nussbaum function(ENF)bearing some unique properties and characteristics,with which the complex stability analysis based on specific Nussbaum functions as commonly used is no longer ***,by utilizing the core-function information technique,the nonparametric uncertainties in the system are gracefully handled so that no approximator is ***,simulation results verify the effectiveness and benefits of the approach.

Business intelligence (BI) encompasses the tools and uses to gather, combine, examine, and display data about a specific firm. Using historical and current efficiency comparisons, these structures assist in formulating plans and choices to achieve better outcomes in the future. Additionally, it helps firms determine which business issues and industry trends require attention. It has several benefits, such as increasing responsibility and efficiency, but it carries some disadvantages, such as being expensive, complicated, and time-consuming to adopt. Using big data-driven approaches to optimize talent recruitment is essential for improved decisions in the cutthroat world of BI. The efficacy of many machine learning algorithms to increase recruiting performance and accuracy is compared in this investigation. For optimizing, cross-validating, and hyperparameter modification were employed. The Random Forest (RF) algorithm has the greatest accuracy (92.9%), trailed by the Gradient Boosting Classifying system (92.6%) and the neural network (NNs) models (92.7%). These findings imply that sophisticated ML algorithms, in particular RF and NN, can greatly improve BI platforms' hiring procedures. Recruiters can benefit from this research's insightful recommendations for incorporating advanced ML methods into talent recruitment plans. © 2025 IEEE.
