While various models and computational tools have been proposed for structure and property analysis of molecules, generating molecules that conform to all desired structures and properties remains a challenge. Here, we introduce a multi-constraint molecular generation large language model, TSMMG, which, akin to a student, incorporates knowledge from various small models and tools, namely, the 'teachers'. To train TSMMG, we construct a large set of text-molecule pairs by extracting molecular knowledge from these 'teachers', enabling it to generate novel molecules that conform to the descriptions through various text prompts. We experimentally show that TSMMG remarkably performs in generating molecules meeting complex, natural language-described property requirements across two-, three-, and four-constraint tasks, with an average molecular validity of over 99% and success ratio of 82.58%, 68.03%, and 67.48%, respectively. The model also exhibits adaptability through zero-shot testing, creating molecules that satisfy combinations of properties that have not been encountered. It can comprehend text inputs with various language styles, extending beyond the confines of outlined prompts, as confirmed through empirical validation. Additionally, the knowledge distillation feature of TSMMG contributes to the continuous enhancement of small models, while the innovative approach to dataset construction effectively addresses the issues of data scarcity and quality, which positions TSMMG as a promising tool in the domains of drug discovery and materials science. Supply chains form the backbone of modern economies and therefore require reliable information flows. In practice, however, supply chains face severe technical challenges, especially regarding security and privacy. In this work, we consolidate studies from supply chain management, information systems, and computer science from 2010–2021 in an interdisciplinary meta-survey to make this topic holistically accessible to interdisciplinary research. In particular, we identify a significant potential for computer scientists to remedy technical challenges and improve the robustness of information flows. We subsequently present a concise information flow-focused taxonomy for supply chains before discussing future research directions to provide possible entry points. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Multicolor super-resolution imaging remains an intractable challenge for both far-field and near-field based super-resolution techniques. Planar super-oscillatory lens (SOL), a far-field subwavelength-focusing diffractive lens device, holds great potential for achieving sub-diffraction-limit imaging at multiple wavelengths. However, conventional SOL devices suffer from a numerical aperture (NA) related intrinsic tradeoff among the depth of focus (DoF), chromatic dispersion and focus spot size, being an essential characteristics of common diffractive optical elements. Typically, the limited DoF and significant chromatism associated with high NA can lead to unfavorable degradation of image quality although increasing NA imporves the resolution. Here, we apply a multi-objective genetic algorithm (GA) optimization approach to design an apochromatic binary-phase SOL that generates axially jointed multifoci concurrently having prolonged DoF, customized working distance (WD) and suppressed side-lobes yet minimized main-lobe size, optimizing the aforementioned NA-dependent tradeoff. Experimental implementation of this GA-optimized SOL demonstrates simultaneous focusing of blue, green and red light beams into an optical needle of ∼0.5λ in diameter and >10λ in length (DoF) at 428 μm WD, resulting in an ultimate resolution better than λ/3 in the lateral dimension. By integrating this apochromatic SOL device with a commercial fluorescence microscope, we employ the optical needle to perform, for the first time, three-dimensional super-resolution multicolor fluorescence imaging of the "unseen" fine structure of neurons at one go. The present study provides not only a practical route to far-field multicolor super-resolution imaging but also a viable approach for constructing imaging systems avoiding complex sample positioning and unfavorable photobleaching. Understanding how biological visual systems process information is challenging because of the nonlinear relationship between visual input and neuronal responses. Artificial neural networks allow computational neuroscientists to create predictive models that connect biological and machine vision. Machine learning has benefited tremendously from benchmarks that compare different model on the same task under standardized conditions. However, there was no standardized benchmark to identify state-of-the-art dynamic models of the mouse visual system. To address this gap, we established the SENSORIUM 2023 Benchmark Competition with dynamic input, featuring a new large-scale dataset from the primary visual cortex of ten mice. This dataset includes responses from 78,853 neurons to 2 hours of dynamic stimuli per neuron, together with the behavioral measurements such as running speed, pupil dilation, and eye movements. The competition ranked models in two tracks based on predictive performance for neuronal responses on a held-out test set: one focusing on predicting in-domain natural stimuli and another on out-of-distribution (OOD) stimuli to assess model generalization. As part of the NeurIPS 2023 competition track, we received more than 160 model submissions from 22 teams. Several new architectures for predictive models were proposed, and the winning teams improved the previous state-of-the-art model by 50%. In a linear radio-frequency (rf) ion trap, the rf null is the point of zero electric field in the dynamic trapping potential where the ion motion is approximately harmonic. When displaced from the rf null, the ion is superimposed by fast oscillations known as micromotion, which can be probed through motion-sensitive light-atom interactions. In this work, we report on the emergence of the rf pseudo-null, a locus of points where the ion responds to light as if it were at the true rf null, despite being displaced from it. The phenomenon is fully explained by accounting for the general two-dimensional structure of micromotion and is experimentally verified under various potential configurations, with observations in great agreement with numerical simulations. The rf pseudo-null manifests as a line in a two-dimensional parameter space, determined by the geometry of the incident light and its overlap with the motional structure of the ion. The true rf null occurs uniquely at the concurrent point of the pseudo-null lines induced by different light sources. © 2025, CC BY.

This work proposed a frequency control approach in a hybrid power system, which include Wind Generation(WG), Photovoltaic Generation(PV), Diesel Generation and storage battery. Proportional Integral Derivative(PID) controller was designed for the blade pitch system of wind turbine to improve the system dynamic performance. In addition, to minimize the oscillation of system, (Super-conducting Magnetic Energy Storage(SMES) with first order lead-lag controller was implemented, it would supply and absorb active power quickly to reach power generation/demand balance and thereby control system frequency. Minimization issues of frequency and wind output power deviations are considered as two objective function of PID controller of wind turbine. Also, frequency and diesel output power deviations are present as two objective functions of lead-lag controller of SMES. modified version of Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm(NSGA-II), was used to tune the parameters of controller. The robustness and effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by simulation using \mathrm{M}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{t}\mathrm{l}\mathrm{a}\mathrm{b}^{\mathrm{o}}/\mathrm{S}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{m}\mathrm{u}\mathrm{l}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{n}\mathrm{k}^{\mathrm{o}} From simulation results we examined the ability of the controllers to damp all frequency and output powers fluctuations and enhance the stability and reliability of system. © 2020 IEEE.

The designed cement content for laterite soil cement base or subbase for road construction can be estimated from the unconfined compressive strength (UCS) of the compressed cement-stabilized laterite soil sample. However, at the actual construction site, several factors such as sulfate and flood adversely affect the strength and durability of the soil cement. Consequently, the cement content estimation under a normal circumstance may not be sufficient. This research aimed to investigate the effects of wetting and drying cycles (w-d cycles) and sulfate-soaked cycles on the strength and durability of cement-stabilized laterite. The result indicated that the 4% cement content is suitable for the laterite stabilized cement. After 12 w-d cycles, the strength loss of the sample soils soaked in water and in sulfate were 44% and 55% respectively. The durability index (ID) of both sample soils decreased with the increase in the w-d cycles. For soil cement base soaked in water and sulfate, the durability index should be lower than 0.88 or the weight loss should not exceed 12%. the results also indicated that for practical propose, the normalized strengths under wet and dry cycles were related by a linear relationship for the range of tested cement content, water content, and curing periods. This relationship is very useful for the calculation of the desired strength from the estimated optimal cement content for the soil cement base mainly focusing on the durability against the effects of w-d cycles soaked in water and sulfate at any repeated cycles. © 2022, The Authors. Background: Gliomas, prevalent and lethal brain tumors, present limited treatment options despite advancements in understanding their molecular features. SLC4A7, an SLC4 family member and potential biomarker, is involved in acid-base regulation, affecting cancer cell growth. Targeting this mechanism may offer new therapeutic strategies. Aim: This study examines SLC4A7's role in gliomas and its potential as a therapeutic target. Methods: Genomic, whole exon sequencing, and single-cell sequencing datasets from glioma patients were processed and analyzed, followed by gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). Cellular components and immune cell populations were investigated using 12-cell state and CIBERSORT analyses. Tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry were employed, with an automated semi-quantitative system scoring staining. ANOVA determined the significance of immunostaining scores related to clinical parameters. Results: Our data found increased SLC4A7 in tumor components correlated with higher tumor grading and poorer prognosis. Immunohistochemistry confirmed a relationship between SLC4A7 protein expression with tumor grade and the proliferation index. GSEA linked high SLC4A7 to cell proliferation and inflammation signaling. PIK3CAs were identified as a potential upstream in IDH mutant glioma but not in IDH wildtype. A positive correlation between heightened SLC4A7 expression and tumor mutation burden suggested genomic instability's role in SLC4A7 upregulation. Cellular heterogeneity analysis highlighted the importance of inflammatory cells, particularly macrophage M0. Conclusion: This study emphasizes SLC4A7's significance in adult gliomas, associating increased expression with high tumor grade, poor prognosis, enhanced proliferation, and inflammation. Wind tunnel testing is a reliable means for R&D aerial vehicles of aerospace, e.g. aircraft, missiles, rockets etc. The wind tunnel models are the objects used in the tests, and stiffness-similar models are important for the structural and aerodynamic design of aerospace vehicles. The accuracy and economy of the model design and fabrication have a significant impact on the quality and cycle of vehicle R&D. The review will first give an overview introduction of the wind tunnel models with stiffness-similarity, and then detail design procedure and fabrication processing, which are developed by the author's group based on 3D printing. The review can provide new methods to design and fabricate stiffness-similar models for wind tunnel tests for designers and researchers concerning the structural and aerodynamic studies in the aerospace industry. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Adaptive Decoding Mechanisms for UAV-enabled Double-Uplink Coordinated NOMA

In this paper, we propose a novel adaptive decoding mechanism (ADM) for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)enabled uplink (UL) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communications. Specifically, considering a harsh UAV environment, where ground-to-ground links are regularly unavailable, the proposed ADM overcomes the challenging problem of conventional UL-NOMA systems whose performance is sensitive to the transmitter's statistical channel state information and the receiver's decoding order. To evaluate the performance of the ADM, we derive closed-form expressions for the system outage probability (OP) and system throughput. In the performance analysis section, we provide novel expressions for practical air-to-ground and ground-to-air channels, while taking into account the practical implementation of imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC) in UL-NOMA. Moreover, the obtained expression can be adopted to characterize the OP of various systems under a Mixture of Gamma (MG) distribution-based fading channels. Next, we propose a sub-optimal Gradient Descent-based algorithm to obtain the power allocation coefficients that result in maximum throughput with respect to each location on UAV's trajectory. To determine the significance of the proposed ADM in nonstationary environments, we consider the ground users and the UAV to move according to the Random Waypoint Mobility (RWM) and Reference Point Group Mobility (RPGM) models, respectively. Accurate formulas for the distance distributions are also provided. Numerical solutions demonstrate that the ADM-enhanced NOMA not only outperforms Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA), but also improves the performance of UAV-enabled UL-NOMA even in mobile environments. © 2022, CC BY.
