The pervasive integration of modern artificial intelligence into daily life necessitates robust human-computer interaction, underscored by advancements in computer technology. As the primary human tool, hand position, and orientation are vital for applications like virtual reality, with hand pose estimation playing a pivotal role. Despite the challenges inherent in RGB image-based estimation, the coalescence of extensive datasets, neural networks, and heightened computational capabilities has catalyzed the utilization of deep learning in visual tasks, particularly advancing hand pose estimation. This review exclusively centers on methodologies of RGB image-based approaches within the realm of hand pose estimation. The paper explores recent advancements in this category, providing a comprehensive analysis of outcomes and charting future directions. Organized around discussions on challenges, advancements, and future directions, this review aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse in the dynamic RGB image-based hand pose estimation field. By addressing unique challenges specific to this method, the paper offers insights that contribute to developing precise and robust hand pose estimation systems, impacting the broader landscape of computer vision and human-machine interaction.

Autonomous exploration in unknown environments is a significant capability for mobile robots. In this paper, we present an end-To-end autonomous exploration model based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL), which takes the sensor data and a novel exploration map as inputs, and directly outputs the motion control commands of the robot. In contrast to the existing DRL-based exploration methods, the proposed model has no requirements to be combined with the traditional exploration or navigation algorithms, resulting in lower computational complexity. We directly transfer the DRL-based model trained in the training map to four test maps with different sizes and layouts, and the results show that the robot can rapidly adapt to unknown scenes. Besides, a comparison study with RRT-exploration algorithm indicates that the proposed model can reach a higher map exploration rate within less distance and time. Furthermore, we also conduct experiments on the real physical robot to demonstrate the transferability of learned policy from simulation to reality. Aims: The paper is concerned with the problem of robust H∞ output feedback control for photovoltaic nonlinear system. Background: The PV systems are built to transform sun irradiance into electrical power. The dc-dc converters, such as buck type, boost type, and buck-boost type, have been widely implemented in the PV systems. Linear controllers for dc-dc converters are often designed based on mathematical models. To get a desired performance objective, an accurate model is essential. Objective: There has been increasing interest in the scheme of digital controller design for dc-dc converters. However, most of the research efforts are focused on the representation based on the standard forward-shift operator approach, which are of inherently ill-conditioned when datum are taken at high sampling rates. Compared with the forward-shift operator, the delta operator has many virtues which can be applied as a better representation of the underlying physical model under high sampling rates. Despite the delta operator possessing the superior high sample rate performance has been recognized in the past two decades, there exists little literature discussing the analysis and syn-thesis of photovoltaic nonlinear systems by using delta operator fuzzy control method, which moti-vates us to make an effort in this topic. Methods: We propose a Fuzzy Dynamic Output Feedback (FDOF) controller, and introduce a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii Functional (LKF) in delta domain, the framework of robust H∞ output feedback control is investigated. Results: Sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of the desired FDOF controllers in terms of Linear-Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is used to illustrate the design procedure of the present method. Conclusion: This paper has studied the problems of robust H∞ output feedback control for photo-voltaic nonlinear system with interval time-varying delay and parametric uncertainties. With the rapid development of the manufacturing industry, traditional control systems can no longer meet the requirements of flexibility, efficiency, and intelligence for smart manufacturing. In order to fully utilize technologies such as microservices and enhance the flexibility of smart manufacturing, we propose a microservice-based architecture integrating sensing, communication, computation, and control, dedicated to achieving integrated management and configuration of the production process. In this architecture, each production stage is designed as an independent microservice, capable of being flexibly deployed in various edge controllers. Therefore, a universal edge controller can simultaneously act as a PLC, router, data acquisition device, and edge server, greatly simplifying the complexity of equipment deployment. The microservice-based integrated architecture not only improves the efficiency of data routing but also helps simplify the integration of new sensors and actuators, making adjustments of production lines more convenient, thereby enhancing the scalability and flexibility of the system. We implemented the proposed architecture based on a validation scenario, and the experimental results demonstrate the enormous development potential of this architecture.

Spatial audio is an important component of the metaverse. With the rapid increase of the spatial resolution and the number of objects, the data volume of the spatial side information has grown larger. However, the low bit rate transmission of spatial side information in the object-based audio coding methods leads to the low-quality reconstruction of spatial side information with limited bandwidth. To address this issue, this paper constructs a cascade design of spatial audio coding and unequal error protection (UEP) rateless codes. Furthermore, the further protection of specific spatial side information is proposed for different scenarios, which effectively addresses the limitation of traditional spatial audio coding in side information protection. For the situation where the code length K of different importance levels is different, we propose an adaptive degree distribution (ADD), adding K to the selection probability as an influencing factor, which has better performance than other degree distribution for short code length. ADD is used to replace the multiple degree distribution strategy of the traditional unequal error protection scheme, and the block error rate (BER) is reduced nearly 10 times compared with the traditional scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate fault diagnosis plays a key role in the safe and efficient operation of electrical motors. Aiming at multiclass motor fault diagnosis under complex working conditions, a signal fusion-based fault diagnosis framework is proposed. Measurement parameters from different sensors are first transformed by wavelet denoising and fast Fourier transform (FFT). Then, multiple parameters spectrum and working condition information are integrated and converted into high-dimension matrices. Finally, a channel-attention-based convolution neural network (CA-CNN) is proposed to extract fault patterns from a reconstructed matrix and output diagnosis results. Experiment results on both simulated and experimental datasets verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, rather than have a fixed constant matrix in the sandwich control of the nonlinear system, a fuzzy control matrix was used. In addition, simple inequalities that do not require additional computational time and skills in computer programming were used rather than the usual LMI. The result of this method is that the period T required in the control process is shorter and the control time is also reached much faster or reduced compared to the existing sandwich methods that used constant matrices. In other words, the control time of this method is shorter than the control time achieved when using constant matrices. Besides, this method also can be used to control more nonlinear chaotic systems such as Lorenz's, Rössler's and Chen's systems. Numerical simulations were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the design of supervisory model predictive control for HVAC systems and two zones. The supervisory control (SC) is designed to find the optimal reference temperature of each zone. The design criteria consist of the total operating cost (TOC) and the thermal comfort cost (TCC). Then, the model predictive control (MPC) is designed to track the optimal reference signals. When SC and MPC are designed for two zones simultaneously, they are referred to centralized SC and centralized MPC. On the other hand, when SC and MPC are designed for two zones separately, they referred to decentralized SC and decentralized MPC. We then compare the results between the decentralized control and the centralized control. The trade-off curve shows that the performance of centralized control is better than that of decentralized control. In particular, centralized MPC improves the performance in tracking reference signals. Furthermore, TOC of centralized control is lower than that of decentralized control. It can be concluded that the centralized control is appropriate for two zones in terms of the tracking of reference and the electrical charge.
