Subarray partition of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) can significantly reduce the computational complexity of solving optimal reflection coefficients. However, there is no research about the RIS subarray partition of RIS-aided multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication for the eavesdropper scenario. In this paper, we intend to solve the optimization subarray partition problem for the eavesdropper scenario, design a RIS-aided MIMO secure communication scheme based on subarray partition (RSC-SP). We consider minimizing the number of subarrays while satisfying secrecy rate requirements. First, this problem is described as a nonconvex combinatorial optimization problem, then we solve it by combining alternating optimization and bisection. In this scheme, we derive the closed expressions of the optimal transmit covariance matrix and the optimal reflection coefficients of RIS. The alternating optimization algorithm is used to jointly optimize the transmit covariance matrix and the reflection coefficients of RIS, the bisection method is used to calculate the minimum number of subarrays. Simulation results show that compared with the traditional scheme without subarray partition, RSC-SP can significantly reduce the computational complexity while meeting secrecy rate requirements.

The currently constructed millimeter wave imaging system has the problems of long sampling time and more sampling points of antenna units, and the use of compressed perception algorithm can improve the imaging quality when the number of sampling points are much smaller than the Nyquist distance sampling. The traditional compressed perception algorithm can achieve better sparse recovery than the matched filter imaging algorithm, but there is a large dimension of the measurement matrix and high computational complexity. For the problems of difficult data processing and large dimensions of measurement matrix, a sparse imaging regularization model is constructed based on approximate observation, and an improved soft threshold iterative algorithm is used with adaptive step size, which improves the convergence performance, reduces the computational complexity of the sparse recovery dramatically and achieves a better quality of sparse imaging than the traditional compressed perception algorithm.

A Tetrahedral Spectral Element Method for Thermo-Mechanical Analysis of Electronic Devices

For the coupled thermo-mechanical simulation of complex electronic devices, we propose a Tetrahedral Spectral Element Method (TSEM), which truly combines the high accuracy of spectral methods with the strong geometric adaptability of Finite Element Methods (FEMs). The TSEM employs a collapse transformation method and successfully converts the orthogonal Gauss-Lobatto-Legendre (GLL) basis functions from a hexahedron to a tetrahedral reference element. This ensures numerical accuracy and stability for arbitrary high-order interpolation. We also generate non-equidistant GLL spectral interpolation nodes for tetrahedral elements through Warp&Blend transformation, enabling direct nodal numerical integration calculation through Vandermonde matrices. This approach replaces the classical Gaussian quadrature in the FEM, not only significantly enhancing the computational efficiency of element matrix but also avoiding potential numerical dissipation and dispersion associated with Gaussian integration, thus achieving rapid convergence. In the TSEM thermo-mechanical coupling, we further construct a separate solver based on the implicit Newmark-β method, which realizes unconditional stability for temporal integration for arbitrary time step increment. Moreover, it supports independent inversion of system matrices for temperature and stress fields, without increasing computational resource consumption due to the coupling of multi-physics equations. By quantitatively comparing with the COMSOL Multiphysics software, several typical case studies are used to demonstrate the significant advantages of the TSEM in numerical accuracy, efficiency, and stability. © 2025 IEEE. A Nonconformal SETI-DP Method for Transient Thermal Simulation

This paper proposes a novel nonconformal meshbased dual-primal spectral element tearing and interconnecting (SETI-DP) method designed for the efficient transient simulation of complex large-scale heat conduction problems utilizing a domain decomposition method (DDM). This method allows for the division of complex, large-scale problems into smaller subdomain problems. By applying Robin-type transmission conditions at the subdomain interfaces, rapid convergence of the global interface iterative solution is achieved for arbitrary non-conformal subdomain problems. This non-conformal DDM approach supports independent meshing of subdomains, eliminating the need to generate a globally continuous mesh for large-scale problems, thereby significantly enhancing meshing efficiency. In addition, this non-conformal meshing strategy enables high-contrast spatial discretization and mixed-order spectral interpolation between different subdomains. This significantly increases meshing flexibility, minimizes the number of degrees of freedom (DoF) in multi-scale problems, and reduces computational costs. In addition, by developing a subdomain-coupled time iteration scheme, the global corner problem of residual transfer is explicitly given, which greatly improves the versatility and flexibility of the algorithm. Finally, to demonstrate the accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of our algorithm, we conduct benchmark tests on several representative examples. © 2011-2012 IEEE.

SSFam: Scribble Supervised Salient Object Detection Family

Scribble supervised salient object detection (SSSOD) constructs segmentation ability of attractive objects from surroundings under the supervision of sparse scribble labels. For the better segmentation, depth and thermal infrared modalities serve as the supplement to RGB images in the complex scenes. Existing methods specifically design various feature extraction and multi-modal fusion strategies for RGB, RGB-Depth, RGB-Thermal, and Visual-Depth-Thermal image input respectively, leading to similar model flood. As the recently proposed Segment Anything Model (SAM) possesses extraordinary segmentation and prompt interactive capability, we propose an SSSOD family based on SAM, named SSFam, for the combination input with different modalities. Firstly, different modal-aware modulators are designed to attain modal-specific knowledge which cooperates with modal-agnostic information extracted from the frozen SAM encoder for the better feature ensemble. Secondly, a siamese decoder is tailored to bridge the gap between the training with scribble prompt and the testing with no prompt for the stronger decoding ability. Our model demonstrates the remarkable performance among combinations of different modalities and refreshes the highest level of scribble supervised methods and comes close to the ones of fully supervised methods. https://***/liuzywen/SSFam Copyright © 2024, The Authors. We propose the antenna developments from nature to engineering, which is a natural method to train student for designing antenna. Also, the interest of the students can be stimulated. Using this method, the students can get how to design antennas and will be interested on the antenna engineering. Then, young talents can be brought up. By using this strategy, a nature Logo is introduced and cooperated with the proposed talent training method to get new antennas. Also, the results for the developed antenna is also simulated and analyzed based on the theory from the text book. In the future, the proposed talents training techniques or method can also be expanded to other different research directions. © 2022 IEEE.

Anisotropic Infrared Absorption in Monolayer Black Phosphorus Metasurface With/Without Local Oxidative Effect

As one kind of anisotropic two-dimensional (2-D) layered material, the monolayer black phosphorus (BP) has ability to excite the surface plasmon resonance in the infrared spectrum, thus providing sufficient conditions for the strong light-matter interaction, so that some potential applications can be shown in the field of optoelectronics. Based on those physical properties, we design the patterned monolayer BP to achieve extremely high infrared absorption, and meanwhile use the finite element method to model the effects of factors such as n-type doping concentration, dielectric thickness, and angle of incidence light. Moreover, due to the strong anisotropic in-plane properties of monolayer BP, we analyze detailedly the absorption spectra in both the armchair and zigzag directions separately, and then understand that low-angle narrow-band absorption in the zigzag direction could be captured in that structure. The structure could achieve perfect absorption in the zigzag direction at an incidence angle of 89.3° with n-type doping concentration n=3×1013 cm-2 and medium thickness d = 4.6 μm, and the maximum absorption can reach 99.98% with the full width at half peak (FWHM) of only 0.57 μm. Considering the case on surface oxidation, it may occur some possible effects for the perfect absorption, but with our structure, the proposed narrow-band absorption still has wide applications in the sensing and light body monitoring. © 2023, The Authors. Unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) aims to transfer the knowledge learned from the labeled source domain to the unlabeled target domain. Traditional methods often focus on minimizing the distribution gap between feature spaces of the two domains to achieve domain-invariant representations. However, this approach may not fully leverage the inherent class-specific information and could adversely affect decision boundaries in the target domain. In this paper, we introduce an adversarial contrastive self-training framework. The model integrates both intra-class and inter-class domain differences for better alignment between the source and target domains. Initially, we augment target domain samples using Fourier transformations, obtaining reliable samples and pseudo-labels through self-training. We then employ intra-domain contrastive learning on the reliable samples and pseudo-labels, alongside labeled source domain samples, to achieve intra-domain compactness. Finally, we utilize adversarial learning to achieve global alignment. This comprehensive approach ensures improved adaptation performance while also addressing the limitations of previous methods.

This paper presents a novel approach for calculating graphene-based structures in the complying divergence implicit finite-difference time-domain (CDI-FDTD) method. To begin, the differential iteration formula of graphene structure in the CDI-FDTD method is derived utilizing the auxiliary-differential-equation (ADE) method. Next, the transmission characteristics of an infinite graphene sheet in an open space are investigated by conducting simulation analyses within the CDI-FDTD framework, considering various magnetostatic or electrostatic biases. Finally, the simulation results were compared with analytical solutions and the results obtained from traditional FDTD methods, confirming the unconditional stability and reliability of the proposed method. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

Aiming at the problem that ultra-wideband systems are easily interfered by narrowband signals, In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter with dual-notch characteristics. This filter is mainly composed of Composition of a multimode resonator (MMR)and a folded dual-mode step-impedance resonator. Paralleling T-shaped SIR stubs in the basic MMR structure realizes the introduction of transmission zeros within the passband. At the same time, a pair of high-impedance stubs are also loaded to extend the upper stopband of the filter, and a folded dual-mode stepped impedance resonator is coupled below the filter to generate dual-notch frequencies. Through the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS for simulation optimization, the simulation results show that the passband of the filter is 3.42~11.21GHz and its notch frequencies are 8.8GHz and 9.5GHz respectively.
