Patent classification is an essential task in patent information management and knowledge mining. Most existing studies are based on the textual content of individual patent texts (e.g., titles and abstracts) for classification, but the patent also has label information with hierarchical structure and semantic description. However, the semantics correlation of patent texts and their labels have been largely ignored. In this paper, we propose a novel framework called HLSPC for patent classification by leveraging the hierarchical semantics correlation of patent texts and their labels. Specifically, we first apply a patent representation learning module for capturing the semantics representation of patent texts and hierarchical labels. Then, we design a label attention learning module to build the semantics correlation between patent texts and hierarchical labels, which enhances patent representation. Finally, we deploy a multi-level fusion module to get the refined category prediction for each patent which can preserve both local and global hierarchical prediction information. Extensive experimental results on two English patent datasets demonstrate the effective power of the HLSPC model.

In this paper, a novel sparse multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) array (SMA) is proposed with closed-form expression. The proposed SMA is devised using the difference-coarray of the sum-coarray concept and the uniform linear array (ULA) fitting (UF) principle. More specifically, the transmitting and receiving arrays of the proposed SMA are sparse arrays designed via the UF principle. Compared with the existing SMAs, the proposed SMA has augmented uniform degrees of freedom (uDOF) and sensor separation. Numerical simulations verify the good capacity of the proposed SMA in terms of uDOF, mutual coupling, and direction finding accuracy.

Reconfigurable intelligent Surfaces (RIS) are recognized for their ability to actively control signal propagation, presenting a wide array of applications in 5G and the forthcoming 6G networks. In this paper, we design a RIS-assisted multi-input single-output (MISO) model and propose a corresponding direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm. The proposed DOA estimation algorithm leverages the non-convex Ekblom norm to serve as the error criterion, ensuring robustness against impulsive noises, while the smoothed L1 norm is implemented as the regularization constraint to further enhance the performance of the algorithm. Distinct from prior research, the system under consideration operates with a single receive antenna, facilitating DOA estimation through the adjustment of RIS reflection coefficients, thereby markedly reducing system hardware costs. Moreover, we devise an alternating minimization strategy to obtain the optimal solution to the problem. A series of simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm surpasses existing methods in terms of accuracy and robustness.

Tunnel Oxide Passivation Contacts (TOPCon) solar cells have achieved high efficiency and become mainstream product in the global photovoltaic (PV) market. However, their long-term reliability, especially under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, lacks sufficient field validation, and there is a lack of lifetime prediction models for TOPCon modules. To address this, we developed a robust accelerated aging model by integrating an improved Peck model with a sigmoidal degradation function, incorporating internal humidity and temperature as critical factors. The model employs a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to calibrate activation energy and humidity sensitivity parameters, enabling precise degradation trajectory simulation. Validated through a "fitting + testing" framework, the model achieves high accuracy (RMSE = 0.7%) in predicting power degradation under Damp Heat (DH), Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST), and modified Pressure Cooker Test (mPCT) conditions. Accelerated aging tests reveal that DH-induced degradation primarily reduces fill factor (FF) due to finger corrosion, with minimal impact on Voc and Isc. Experimental validation using a non-commercial corrosion-sensitive BOM combination shows that polyolefin elastomer (POE)-encapsulated modules exhibit superior corrosion resistance, projecting a service lifetime 23 years longer than EVA/EVA encapsulation in high-humidity regions like Hainan. This work bridges the gap in TOPCon module lifetime prediction under extreme environments, offering actionable insights for optimizing encapsulation materials and enhancing reliability. The model provides a scalable framework for evaluating module performance under site-specific climatic conditions, accelerating the development of durable PV technologies. © 2025, The Authors. Finding a mass formula for a given class of linear codes is a fundamental problem in combinatorics and coding theory. In this paper, we consider the action of the unitary (resp. symplectic) group on the set of all Hermitian (resp. symplectic) linear complementary dual (LCD) codes, prove that all Hermitian (resp. symplectic) LCD codes are on a unique orbit under this action, and determine the formula for the size of the orbit. Based on this, we develop a general technique to obtain a closed mass formula for linear codes with prescribed Hermitian (resp. symplectic) hull dimension, and further obtain some asymptotic results. We introduce the notion of logarithmically concave (or log-concave) sequences in Coding Theory. A sequence a0, a1, . . ., an of real numbers is called log-concave if a2i ≥ ai−1ai+1 for all 1 ≤ i ≤ n−1. A natural sequence of positive numbers in coding theory is the weight distribution of a linear code consisting of the nonzero values among Ai’s where Ai denotes the number of codewords of weight i. We call a linear code log-concave if its nonzero weight distribution is log-concave. Our main contribution is to show that all binary general Hamming codes of length 2r − 1 (r = 3 or r ≥ 5), the binary extended Hamming codes of length 2r (r ≥ 3), and the second order Reed-Muller codes R(2, m) (m ≥ 2) are all log-concave while the homogeneous and projective second order Reed-Muller codes are either log-concave, or 1-gap log-concave. Furthermore, we show that any MDS [n, k] code over Fq satisfying 3 ≤ k ≤ n/2 + 3 is log-concave if q ≥ q0(n, k) which is the larger root of a quadratic polynomial. This paper designs a broadband circularly polarized antenna covering the 25 GHz to 31 GHz band. The Vivaldi antenna is used as the basic structure to generate broadband electromagnetic waves;circular polarization is achieved by feeding through a circularly polarized bridge;a metal choke ring is used at the bottom to ensure the low side lobes of the antenna. The antenna consists of four basic Vivaldi antennas, a metal choke ring, a grounded substrate, and a feed network. The results show that the antenna covers the entire frequency band when the axial ratio is lower than 3 dB, and the impedance matching is better. The use of a choke ring structure ensures that the antenna electromagnetic waves are radiated upward, resulting in higher gain and lower side lobes. The highest gain in the included frequency band is 11.4 dB, and the simulation result is good. The antenna has high gain and low sidelobe characteristics. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the capability to sculpt complex radiative wavefronts and couple energy from the reference wave to the desired radiation pattern, metasurface antennas have gained tremendous progress in recent years. The flexibility in antenna design gives rise to a bunch of metasurface antennas, while there is still a comprise between the needed operation band and radiation field pattern coherence. Furthermore, the relatively low sampling ratio and overlap between frequency measurement modes would inevitably pose a great challenge for matched filter and other advanced sparsity-driven post-processing imaging algorithms. In this paper, we design a deep neural network to achieve fast scene image reconstruction. The trained network could fastly reconstruct the imaged object in both low scene compressed ratio and high coherence of the measurement modes. The imaging experiments with measured radiation field data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of our method.

A miniaturized filtering power divider with wide stopband based on quarter-mode substrate integrated waveguide (QMSIW) is proposed. The physical size of the QMSIW is reduced by 3/4 comparing with the traditional SIW structure, which can achieve miniaturization, and its electromagnetic field distribution has little effect. Using the metal interference column and the etched U-shaped groove to adjust the resonance frequency, so that the main mode and the first higher mode form a passband, meanwhile, suppressing the second higher mode. The simulation results show that the center frequency is 4.42 GHz with insertion loss of 0.45 dB, the 3-dB bandwidth is 4.12-4.63 GHz with a fractional bandwidths of 9.7%, and there is a great stopband up to 11 GHz with 15 dB rejection level. Besides, the return loss of passband is better than 17.5 dB. To verify the validity of this design, a prototype is fabricated and measured. The measured results demonstrate that it has a good agreement with the design simulations. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A Passive Mixed Loaded Over-Hundred-Octave Miniaturized Super-Wideband Antenna

An over-hundred-octave miniaturized super- wideband antenna based on passive elements mixed loading is proposed and analyzed in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of inversed E-radiation patch, feeding line, several passive mixed loaded elements. The entire size of the proposed antenna is 0.012λ×0.01λ×0.00005λ (where λ is the lowest frequency of realized bandwidth). Derived from the analysis of impedance and equivalent circuit, by properly adjusting the inversed E-radiation patch and loading 5 passive elements into the construction of the antenna in position, the bandwidth is greatly improved. The simulated and measured results show that a -10dB fractional bandwidth of 196.2% is realized. Moreover, good omni-directional radiation patterns within the operating frequency band have been achieved from 10MHz to 1051MHz for HF, VHF and UHF applications. © 2002-2011 IEEE.
