Currently, few-shot object detection (FSOD) methods for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are severely understudied. The high confidentiality and scarcity of SAR data, coupled with the susceptibility of targets in SAR images to significant changes in orientation, make existing models sensitive to variations in novel class examples. This sensitivity leads to challenges in extracting class prototypes and accurately estimating class centers for novel classes. To solve the above issues, we propose a few-shot object detection algorithm for SAR images via Gaussian Flow Class-Balanced Differential Aggregation. Specifically, we first design a class-balanced difference feature aggregation module to solve the problems of difficult class distribution estimation and inaccurate class center estimation of novel classes in SAR images. Second, the contextual information perception module is designed to extract the most representative support features into fine-grained prototypes and aggregate them with the query features using the matching paradigm to solve the imbalance between foreground targets and background in SAR images. Finally, experimental results on MSAR-AIR dataset indicate that our model realizes the best detection properties on SAR images compared to existing models. © 2024 IEEE.

In the realm of modern energy management systems, Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) technology provides an innovative solution for power suppliers. It allows for remote monitoring and analysis of users’ electricity consumption patterns without requiring direct access to each device. This technology works by collecting comprehensive energy data at the user’s meter entry point and using algorithms to differentiate and identify the energy consumption characteristics of each device. However, with the increasing number of smart devices used by residential and commercial users, traditional NILM methods face the challenge of dealing with more complex and diverse electricity usage patterns. To address these challenges, we propose a novel incremental NILM framework. This framework has the ability to independently learn new load categories without load data, which is crucial for adapting in real-time to the changing variety of load devices, while also effectively addressing user privacy concerns. We introduce a VI-SCRM for extracting V-I trajectory features, incorporating a reconstruction convolution module. This method reduces the redundancy of V-I trajectory features and eliminates insignificant features, thereby improving algorithm efficiency. Additionally, this approach streamlines the model training process and prevents the model from ‘forgetting’ previously acquired knowledge. By implementing this framework in NILM, the system can continually adjust to new types of devices. Our experimental results confirm the effectiveness of this approach and highlight its potential advantages in practical applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

One of the primary air pollutants that has a detrimental effect on both the environment and human health is sulfur dioxide. The ecosystem and climate greatly depend on the high-precision monitoring of sulfur dioxide. In this study, SO2 ground-based data in Xi'an and Hangzhou were calculated using the UV continuous spectral inversion method, and the accuracy was confirmed using OMI satellite data that had undergone bilinear spatial interpolation. Although there are still some discrepancies in the comparative analysis results, the results indicate a good correlation between the ground-based measurement results of the UV hyperspectral solar radiometer and OMI data products;the correlation numbers are 0.938 and 0.941, respectively, and the relative errors are roughly 10%. The ultraviolet hyperspectral solar radiometer can complement this study's findings with accuracy and is a valuable tool for environmental monitoring. © 2025 SPIE.

This paper aims to investigate the ability of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) damaged in multi-user environments to eliminate interference. Our research found that even if the RIS is damaged, interference can still be eliminated in the absence of a direct path and when the number of RIS is sufficient. In order to solve interference cancellation, we adopted the alternating projection algorithm, which ensures local convergence and good convergence speed. © 2024 IEEE.

Existing graph learning-based cognitive diagnosis (CD) methods have made relatively good results, but their student, exercise, and concept representations are learned and exchanged in an implicit unified graph, which makes the interaction-agnostic exercise and concept representations be learned poorly, failing to provide high robustness against noise in students' interactions. Besides, lower-order exercise latent representations obtained in shallow layers are not well explored when learning the student representation. To tackle the issues, this paper suggests a meta multigraph-assisted disentangled graph learning framework for CD (DisenGCD), which learns three types of representations on three disentangled graphs: student-exercise-concept interaction, exercise-concept relation, and concept dependency graphs, respectively. Specifically, the latter two graphs are first disentangled from the interaction graph. Then, the student representation is learned from the interaction graph by a devised meta multigraph learning module;multiple learnable propagation paths in this module enable current student latent representation to access lower-order exercise latent representations, which can lead to more effective nad robust student representations learned;the exercise and concept representations are learned on the relation and dependency graphs by graph attention modules. Finally, a novel diagnostic function is devised to handle three disentangled representations for prediction. Experiments show better performance and robustness of DisenGCD than state-of-the-art CD methods and demonstrate the effectiveness of the disentangled learning framework and meta multigraph module. A kernel Weibull M-transform maximum-versoria-criterion (KWMMVC) algorithm is constructed, which is to use for nonlinear system identification. The KWMMVC algorithm ingeniously integrates the Weibull M-transform scheme into the maximum-versoria-criterion to formulate a novel cost function. The ability of KWMMVC algorithm to identify nonlinear channels under various impulse noise environments is tested in the kernel adaptive filters, and the results proved its superior performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Sum-difference driven coarray (SDCA) was paid great attention in array-signal-processing (ASP). By considering SDCA, the degrees of freedom (DOFs) for sparse arrays can be further improved. Here, a new transformed nested-array (TNA) is constructed, which reduces the element redundancy via rearranging the density of sub-arrays of the constructed new TNA. Compared to former TNAs, the constructed TNA gets higher DOFs and maximization signals, numerical simulation are given for getting its superior behaviors. © 2023 IEEE.

The direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation approach utilizing the adaptive nulling array framework has gained widespread attention due to its low complexity. However, in impulsive noise environments, traditional least mean squares (LMS) algorithm may experience a sharp decline in performance or even fail to work properly. To address this challenge, we propose a DOA estimation approach designed for impulsive noise situations based on a robust nonlinear function. In addition, the algorithm can mitigate bias caused by auxiliary array noise and uses the variable step-size strategy to enhance its performance. Furthermore, the mean stability of the proposed approach is also assessed. Simulation results demonstrate its superior performance in impulsive noise environments. © 2024 IEEE.
