Very recently,intensive discussions and studies on Industry 5.0 have sprung up and caused the attention of researchers,entrepreneurs,and policymakers from various sectors around the ***,there is no consensus on why and what is Industry 5.0 *** this paper,we define Industry 5.0from its philosophical and historical origin and evolution,emphasize its new thinking on virtual-real duality and human-machine interaction,and introduce its new theory and technology based on parallel intelligence(PI),artificial societies,computational experiments,and parallel execution(the ACP method),and cyber-physical-social systems(CPSS).Case studies and applications of Industry 5.0 over the last decade have been briefly summarized and analyzed with suggestions for its future *** believe that Industry 5.0 of virtual-real interactive parallel industries has great potentials and is critical for building smart *** are outlined to ensure a roadmap that would lead to a smooth transition from CPS-based Industry 4.0 to CPSS-based Industry 5.0 for a better world which is Safe in physical spaces,S ecure in cyberspaces,Sustainable in ecology,Sensitive in individual privacy and rights,Service for all,and Smartness of all.

A new concept of automated phonetic analysis of a speech with asymptotic adaptation to the specifics of phonation of language units is proposed. Unlike analogues, the concept is formalized in the paradigm of information theory with the criterion of analysis of the speech signal based on its relative entropy. The obtained mathematical apparatus allows for analysing the studied process both in statics and dynamics. The quality of the analysis is characterized by errors in the first (incorrect recognition of the language unit) and the second (variability of phonation of the language unit within the corresponding cluster) kind. The derived result is an analytically substantiated possibility of estimating the phonetic saturation of speech. The formulated concept can also be used to assess the degree of information saturation of the cluster of the language unit. Such an assessment is important for the task of creating universal background models, which are an essential element of current recognition systems for both language and speaker. © 2022 IEEE.

This study addresses linear attacks on remote state estimation within the context of a constrained alarm rate. Smart sensors, which are equipped with local Kalman filters, transmit innovations instead of raw measurements through a wireless communication network. This transmission is vulnerable to malicious data interception and manipulation by attackers. The aim of this research is to identify the optimal attack strategy that degrades the system performance while adhering to stealthiness constraints. A notable innovation of this paper is the direct association of the attack’s stealthiness with the alarm rate, diverging from traditional approaches that rely on the covariance of the innovation or the Kullback–Leibler divergence, which are conventional metrics that have been extensively explored in previous studies. Our findings reveal that the optimal attack strategy exhibits some structural characteristics in systems of low dimensions. The performance of the proposed attack strategy is demonstrated through numerical examples.

In this paper, the distributed state and fault fusion filtering problem is discussed for a class of multi-sensor networked systems (MSNSs) with randomly occurring quantized measurements (ROQMs). A series of random variables obeying the Bernoulli distribution are adopted to depict the phenomenon of the ROQMs and the fault signal is assumed to appear with an unknown constant type. The aim of this paper is to provide the state and fault fusion filtering algorithm by using the inverse covariance intersection fusion method. Moreover, a proper filter gain is designed by minimizing the local upper bound of filtering error covariance. Finally, the effectiveness of the presented fusion method is verified by using an illustrative example. © 2022 IEEE.

Direct-drive servo systems are widely used in the field of transportation, but the existence of actuator failures and saturation will threaten system safety and cause serious traffic accidents. In this paper, an adaptive fault-tolerant tracking control (AFTTC) method for direct-drive servo systems is proposed to address the complex constraint problems in traffic tasks. The system dynamics model with actuator failures and asymmetric saturation is first constructed, and an estimation algorithm with convergence characteristics is comprehensively adopted to deal with actuator failures and parameter uncertainties. In particular, a smooth function is cleverly introduced to achieve a smooth transition of the saturation inflection point output. In order to minimize the influence of various nonlinearities and uncertainties, a finite-time neural network observer is designed. It is worth mentioning that the designed controller is suitable for the above-mentioned complex multi-constraint conditions and can achieve asymptotically stable tracking of the closed-loop system. Experimental results show that compared with traditional adaptive fault-tolerant control, the proposed AFTTC method improves the steady-state performance of the system by 26.5% and 28.2%, which further improves the safety of transportation industry tasks. © 2015 IEEE.

Modeling of cross-medium vehicles with complex shapes still requires a thorough investigation. This paper proposes a multi-method combination modeling approach to tackle such a problem. First-principle model is derived to determinate a model structure. Experiments are then set up to estimate parameters related to its rigid-body model and propulsion system. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is performed to calculate and identify coefficients related to surrounding fluid. Base on the model obtained, we systematically investigate the possible steady motion of the cross-medium vehicle and analyze their related performance. Results are instrumental for designing controllers for the vehicle to perform autonoumous missions. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

As China's steel production accounts for an increasing share of the world's output, the intelligent transformation of the steel industry is becoming increasingly urgent. To address issues such as low levels of mobile informationization in steel enterprises and the lack of an industry-specific mobile application platform, it is of great significance to establish a shared mobile application platform for the steel industry. In this paper, the requirements of the platform were analyzed, and the platform's functions were designed. The software design of the platform was then carried out, and the entire mobile application sharing platform was developed, effectively improving the production management efficiency of steel enterprises. The results indicate that the platform can effectively meet the needs of steel enterprises and has significant engineering significance.

This paper addresses the path planning problem for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), where a UAV serves as a messenger to periodically traverse over road-constrained ground vehicles (GVs) to relay information. The GVs may not move on the road network with the velocities agreed with the UAV due to their movement uncertainties. The UAV path planning problem can be formulated as the Dynamic Dubins Traveling Salesman Problem with Uncertain Neighborhood (DDTSPUN). To address the uncertainty in GVs motion, we define robust neighborhoods and corridors and prove that the UAV visiting these areas can revisit GVs reliably, thus transforming DDTSPUN into a Revisit-time-constrained Dubins Traveling Salesman Problem with Neighborhood (RDTSPN). To address the RDTSPN, we propose an online heuristic path planning algorithm. This algorithm incorporates a gradient-based method for visiting robust neighborhoods and a sampling-based search strategy along robust corridors to obtain the Dubins paths of UAV that achieve the robust visit for each GV. Finally, computational experiments demonstrate its advantage over other benchmark algorithms in obtaining the shortest path satisfying UAV curvature constraints, and ensuring robust access to all GVs.

This paper discusses the design problem of recursive filtering method for time-varying nonlinear delayed systems (NDSs) with stochastic parameter matrices (SPMs) and censored measurements. In particular, the Tobit Type I model provides a description of the censored measurements. The main objective of this paper is to construct a recursive filter for NDSs with both SPMs and censored measurements. The upper bound of the filtering error covariance is first calculated via mathematical induction, and the upper bound is then minimized by choosing proper filter gain. Besides, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee that the filtering error is uniformly bounded in the mean-square sense. Finally, the viability and applicability of the proposed filtering method are demonstrated using a numerical simulation. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

In this paper, the distributed state estimation method with resilient attenuation feature is proposed for time-varying fractional-order complex networks under encoding-decoding mechanism. The encoding-decoding-induced dynamic errors for distinct nodes are characterized by the truncated Gaussian distributions. In order to compensate the effects induced by encoding-decoding scheme, the variances of encoding-decoding-induced dynamic errors are considered in process of designing the resilient distributed estimation algorithm. In particular, the upper bounds of updated estimation error covariances are derived firstly. Subsequently, the upper bounds are minimized by constructing the gain matrices at each sampling instant. Besides, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee the boundedness of estimation error dynamics in the mean-square sense. Finally, the validity of distributed resilient state estimation scheme is demonstrated by a simulation example. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.
