Accurate fault diagnosis of planetary gearboxes (PGs) is crucial for preventing equipment failures and extending their lifespan. To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of PG fault diagnosis, this paper proposes a novel method integrating intrinsic time scale decomposition (ITD) with convolutional neural network (CNN). The proposed method leverages the demodulation capability of ITD to decompose and reconstruct the original signal, effectively removing irrelevant noise and isolating core fault features, and the learning ability of CNN to accurately identify the fault features. Compared to methods relying on CNN only, the proposed method not only improves the computational efficiency but also achieves higher fault diagnosis accuracy.

Aiming at the potential safety hazards of silicon single crystal production enterprises in the process of multi-furnace silicon single crystal production, and considering the maximum power load requirements in actual enterprises, a silicon single crystal production process scheduling model with the goal of minimizing the maximum completion time was established. Based on this model, an adaptive improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (Adaptive GPSO) is proposed to solve it. The algorithm retains the individual optimal value and global optimal value of the particle swarm algorithm, and introduces the crossover operation and mutation operation in the genetic algorithm to improve the new individual generation mechanism. At the same time, it performs dynamic iterative calculations on the mutation probability and crossover probability to avoid the algorithm fall into the local optimum, and improve the diversity and convergence of the algorithm. By solving different scales scheduling problems of silicon single crystal production process, the experiments on real-world data shows that the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2021 IEEE

In this paper, a time-fractional heat conduction model is established to describe the heat transfer process of monocrystalline silicon in the Czochralski method. The numerical solution of the fractional-order model is obtained by using implicit difference scheme. In addition, an improved grey wolf algorithm is proposed to estimate the parameters of the fractional heat conduction model using the experimental temperature data. The numerical experiment results show that the time-fractional heat conduction model has a higher explanatory ability, compared with the classical heat conduction model. The Improved Grey Wolf algorithm proposed in this paper is effective in solving the parameter estimation problem of the time-fractional heat conduction equation. © 2021 IEEE

Focusing on the pick-and-place operation in the electronic, packaging, and other light industries, this paper proposed a new type 3T1R (T-Translation, R-Rotation) high-speed parallel robot with two limbs. Compared with other 4-DOF high-speed parallel robots with four limbs, its structure is simpler while the working space is larger, such that the potential for cheaper usage in the industry is achieved. The robot's kinematic analysis and trajectory planning, including key aspects, are also outlined here. Firstly, the robot's closed-loop constraint equation is established using the vector chain method. The displacement, velocity, and acceleration models are derived, and the Jacobian matrix is obtained. On this basis, the gate shape trajectory is planned using the 3-4-5 polynomial motion rule, such that the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of the driving joint are obtained using the kinematic models above. Ultimately, the accuracy of the kinematic models is confirmed by comparing the theoretical outcomes with the simulations carried out in SolidWorks. The study presented in this paper establishes a firm basis for the dimensional integration and the creation of a physical model of the robot.

Pipes in various are dominated in in the process of industrial production. To avoid the pipeline leak due to inner corrosion, it is essential to develop pipe inspection mechanisms to detect the wall thickness of the pipes used in production. The paper presents three kinds of out-pipe detection mechanisms (ODM) for different petrochemical pipeline detection demands based on eddy current testing (ECT) method. A linear inspection mechanism with fixed length is firstly proposed to detect defects of straight pipe. Secondly, a rotary inspection mechanism is designed for pipeline weld detection. Besides, an out-pipe scanning wheeled robotic mechanism is developed to detect wall thickness of pipes and avoid small obstacles such as valves on the pipelines. Lastly, detection experiments and simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the designed out-pipe detection mechanisms.

This paper introduces a 3D point cloud sequence learning model based on inconsistent spatio-temporal propagation for LiDAR odometry, termed DSLO. It consists of a pyramid structure with a spatial information reuse strategy, a sequential pose initialization module, a gated hierarchical pose refinement module, and a temporal feature propagation module. First, spatial features are encoded using a point feature pyramid, with features reused in successive pose estimations to reduce computational overhead. Second, a sequential pose initialization method is introduced, leveraging the high-frequency sampling characteristic of LiDAR to initialize the LiDAR pose. Then, a gated hierarchical pose refinement mechanism refines poses from coarse to fine by selectively retaining or discarding motion information from different layers based on gate estimations. Finally, temporal feature propagation is proposed to incorporate the historical motion information from point cloud sequences, and address the spatial inconsistency issue when transmitting motion information embedded in point clouds between frames. Experimental results on the KITTI odometry dataset and Argoverse dataset demonstrate that DSLO outperforms state-of-the-art methods, achieving at least a 15.67% improvement on RTE and a 12.64% improvement on RRE, while also achieving a 34.69% reduction in runtime compared to baseline methods. Vibration generated by road bumps can cause secondary injury to patients. The risk of secondary injury can be significantly reduced by attaching an active suspension system to isolation medical beds. In this paper, a five DOFs (degree of freedoms) hybrid mechanism is designed by combining a 3-P(UU) 2 mechanism and a 2-PUS mechanism through a universal joint, leading to 3T2R movement capabilities to reduce the vibration. The kinematic models are firstly established to evaluate the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the hybrid mechanism. On this basis, a typical trajectory is planned to simulate the movement capabilities of the mechanism by using the trapezoidal acceleration curve motion law. Finally, the effectiveness of the kinematic models is verified by compared the results with those simulated by SolidWorks. The research results of this paper provide a solid foundation to the dimensional synthesis of the hybrid mechanism.

This paper presents a low delay architecture design method for the hardware implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The proposed architecture is designed by using constant matrix multiplications (CMM) merging technologies. To reduce the area cost in hardware implementations, S-box/InvS-box is usually implemented with composite field arithmetic (CFA) technologies. In this paper, CMM in CFA-based S-box/InvS-box are further merged with constant coefficient multiplications in MixColumns/ InvMixColumns, which can also be expressed as CMM forms. By the merging, the delay of the hardware implementation of encryption round transform is reduced at the cost of slight area cost increasing, and both delay and area cost are reduced in hardware implementations of decryption round transform. Hardware complexities analysis indicates that our designs have less delay compared with previous works. © 2022 IEEE.

Panoramic image plays an extremely important role in the application of 3D, but in some special scenarios, the depth information is also needed as an auxiliary, but to obtain the panoramic depth information needs a high cost, it is extremely difficult to obtain. Therefore, this paper proposes a panoramic depth estimation method called PDEGAN (Panoramic Depth Estimation Generative Adversarial Network). This method first enhances the style migration, transfers the input panoramic image to a style closer to the panoramic depth image domain, and then combines the conversion results with the original panoramic image as the input data for further depth estimation training. By using the style closer to the depth estimation, the texture, color and other characteristics of the image can be adjusted, so as to better highlight the depth information of the object in the image, so that the generator network is more focused on performing the image translation task, reduce the impact of style differences on the image translation task, and improve the generalization ability of the model. At the same time, the model will also use multi-scale feature fusion, combined with the attention mechanism, to better capture the depth information of different scales, viewing angles and channels. Not only that, but also by introducing depth gradient loss, surface normal loss to improve the accuracy and stability of depth estimation. To this end, we also made a set of related datasets for the related experiments of PDEGAN, and named it PDE Images. Finally, it is shown that the method proposed in this paper has more accurate estimation results than the traditional Pix2Pix image conversion model. © 2024, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. The last few years have seen the appearance of a new sparse reference-based free energy principle, which demonstrates that an input visual signal was always strived to be comprehend by the human visual system (HVS) through removing the undetermined portions. By this inspiration, we in this paper put forward an image quality assessment (IQA) model based on sparse reference information. In essential, as compared with the classical good-performance FEDM model that was developed with a linear local autoregressive (AR) model, the proposed sparse reference (SR) IQA model is a simplified version of FEDM, achieving comparable performance but hundreds of times faster implementation. More specifically, this paper introduces the extremely sparse random sampling method into the FEDM model. Experimental results on the most well-known LIVE IQA database illustrate the effectiveness along with efficiency of our SR-IQA model as compared with the typical full-reference IQA models and the cutting-edge SR IQA models. © 2022, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
