A four-port multi-input multi-output (MIMO) dielectric resonator (DR) antenna (DRA) is presented in this paper. Combing four rectangular DRs together can form a single DR element. With shape modification and conformal strips, the four ports can be decoupled. To verify the design idea, a transparent prototype can be designed and fabricated for 2.4-GHz band applications. The measured results show an impedance bandwidth of 5.8% and an isolation level of 24 dB. © 2024 IEEE.

Specific emitter identification(SEI) plays an increasingly crucial and potential role in both military and civilian scenarios. It refers to a process to discriminate individual emitters from each other by analyzing extracted characteristics from given radio signals. In this paper, we present a novel radiation source identification method named CNNFormer based on a hybrid architecture of Convolutional Neural Network and Transformer, harnessing the strengths of both architectures to enhance feature extraction and sequence modeling. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach on simulation datasets, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy in emitter identification. We showcase outstanding performance of our method on simulation datasets, achieving 98.29% three-class identification accuracy the emitter dataset with three devices and 97.60% ten-class identification accuracy on an RF fingerprint dataset with ten XSPR transmitters. Furthermore, our model allows for insight into the key features contributing to identification. This work contributes to enhancing the security and reliability of wireless communication systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The goal of the timbre transfer task is to apply the auditory characteristics of one instrument to another instrument. Past timbre transfer methods faced numerous challenges due to the limitations of the selected generation model. These challenges include difficulties in training, ambiguous results, poor diversity, and slow generation speed. To address these issues, we propose a diffusion model for timbre transfer, DiffTimb, which can be combined with vocoder to achieve single-note timbre transfer. Unlike traditional models that require training a specific model for each pair of timbre transfers, DiffTimb enables the conversion of various musical instrument timbres received in a single model, namely, many-to-many timbre transfer. We compare two Unet-based denoising frameworks and propose two feature fusion methods to fuse timbre and pitch features. We conduct unconditional and conditional generation pre-experiments to verify the generation ability of DiffTimb. To improve the generation effect, we clean the Nsynth dataset and get two subsets for our task. The nutritional value of agricultural products is an important indicator for evaluating their quality, which directly affects people's dietary choices and overall well-being. Nutritional assessment studies provide a scientific basis for the production, processing, and marketing of food by analyzing the nutrients they contain. Traditional methods often struggle with suboptimal accuracy and can be time consuming, as well as a shortage of professionals. The progress in artificial intelligence has revolutionized dietary health by offering more accessible methods for food nutritional assessment using vision-based approaches. However, existing vision-based methods using RGB images often face challenges due to varying lighting conditions, impacting the accuracy of nutritional assessment. An alternative is the RGB-D fusion method, which combines RGB images and depth maps. Yet, these methods typically rely on simple fusion techniques that do not ensure precise assessment. Additionally, current vision-based methods struggle to detect small components like oils and sugars on food surfaces, crucial for determining ingredient information and ensuring accurate nutritional assessment. In this pursuit, we propose a novel ingredient-guided RGB-D fusion network that integrates RGB images with depth maps and enables more reliable nutritional assessment guided by ingredient information. Specifically, the multifrequency bimodality fusion module is designed to leverage the correlation between the RGB image and the depth map within the frequency domain. Furthermore, the progressive-fusion module and ingredient-guided module leverage ingredient information to explore the potential correlation between ingredients and nutrients, thereby enhancing the guidance for nutritional assessment learning. We evaluate our approach on a variety of ablation settings on Nutrition5k, where it consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is a successful paradigm that can use unlabelled data to alleviate the labelling cost problem in supervised learning. However, the excellent performance brought by SSL does not transfer well to the task of class imbalance. The reason is that the class bias of pseudo-labelling further misleads the decision boundary. To solve this problem, we propose a new plug-and-play approach to handle the class imbalance problem based on a theoretical extension and analysis of distribution alignment. The method, called Basis Transformation Based Distribution Alignment (BTDA), efficiently aligns class distributions while taking into account inter-class *** implements the basis transformation through a learnable transfer matrix, thereby reducing the performance loss caused by pseudo-labelling biases. Extensive experiments show that our proposed BTDA approach can significantly improve performance in class imbalance tasks in terms of both accuracy and recall metrics when integrated with advanced SSL algorithms. Although the idea of BTDA is not complex, it can show advanced performance on datasets such as CIFAR and SVHN. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Diffusion models (DMs) have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in producing images based on textual prompts. Numerous methods have been proposed to ensure these models generate safe images. Early methods attempt to incorporate safety filters into models to mitigate the risk of generating harmful images but such external filters do not inherently detoxify the model and can be easily bypassed. Hence, model unlearning and data cleaning are the most essential methods for maintaining the safety of models, given their impact on model parameters. However, malicious fine-tuning can still make models prone to generating harmful or undesirable images even with these methods. Inspired by the phenomenon of catastrophic forgetting, we propose a training policy using contrastive learning to increase the latent space distance between clean and harmful data distribution, thereby protecting models from being fine-tuned to generate harmful images due to forgetting. The experimental results demonstrate that our methods not only maintain clean image generation capabilities before malicious fine-tuning but also effectively prevent DMs from producing harmful images after malicious fine-tuning. Our method can also be combined with other safety methods to maintain their safety against malicious fine-tuning further.

Few-shot Named Entity Recognition (Few-shot NER) aims to identify and classify unseen named entity types with a limited labeled samples. In recent years, large language models have achieved remarkable results in various NLP tasks due to their excellent zero/few-shot generalization capabilities. Recent research has extensively focused on using large language models to study the named entity recognition task. Negative sample entities have been demonstrated to be effective when performing this task using in-context learning paradigm. However, the problem of low efficiency and poor quality in manually constructing negative sample entities has been exposed. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a Few-shot NER method based on generative negative sample enhancement (GNSE). Specifically, GNSE first utilizes a large language model to pre-identify potential entity spans in the support set text paragraphs in a zero-shot manner and generate the semantics of the spans based on the paragraph context. Then, the pre-identified candidate spans are compared with the ground-truth labels to determine positive or negative sample entity spans. Finally, based on Chain-of-Thought, the span semantics, positive and negative sample entities, and ground-truth labels are inserted into the example template for the in-context learning paradigm, and the test text from the query set is concatenated to construct a complete prompt. GNSE was evaluated on three widely used datasets: CoNLL’03, WNUT’17 and GUM. For accurately identifying the distribution charac-teristic of Gaussian-like noises in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)state estimation,this paper proposes a non-parametric scheme based on curve similarity *** the framework of the pro-posed scheme,a Parzen window(kernel density estimation,KDE)method on sliding window technology is applied for roughly esti-mating the sample probability density,a precise data probability density function(PDF)model is constructed with the least square method on K-fold cross validation,and the testing result based on evaluation method is obtained based on some data characteristic analyses of curve shape,abruptness and *** com-parison simulations with classical methods and UAV flight exper-iment shows that the proposed scheme has higher recognition accuracy than classical methods for some kinds of Gaussian-like data,which provides better reference for the design of Kalman filter(KF)in complex water environment.

The use of video surveillance for real-time management of factories has become increasingly common. For traditional fixed surveillance cameras, selecting and arranging them properly is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of water treatment plants. With complex facilities and various obstructions within the plant, a balance needs to be struck between monitoring scope and cost. Therefore, it is necessary to establish an effective digital plane model to optimize the layout of cameras in water treatment plants. By building an optimization model, it is possible to achieve full coverage of the entire monitoring area with the minimum number of cameras. This study takes a water treatment plant in Beijing as an example, where the optimization problem of camera placement is transformed into a minimum subset coverage problem. A greedy algorithm is utilized to solve the problem. And the satisfactory results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. © 2023 IEEE.
