The contours of objects effectively represent essential 3D information such as shapes and boundaries. Existing contour detection methods mostly rely on thresholding or neural networks to classify points as edge or non-edge points. However, these methods often lack generalization ability on datasets with different shapes, leading to issues such as missing contours and discontinuous distribution. To address this, we propose a 3D point cloud contour generation method based on the denoising diffusion probabilistic model (DDPM). Our method treats the complete point cloud as an explicit condition to guide the generation of contour from noise. Specifically, our method trains the DDPM to be a conditional generative network customized for contour generation tasks. In the network, we design the Conditional Feature Extraction (CFE) module that obtains multi-scale feature information, and the Conditional Feature Fusion (CFF) module embeds this information in the generation process to guide contour generation. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. The source code of our method is available at: https://***/djzgroup/ContourGeneration.

In the current field of object detection, the YOLOv7 model demonstrates significant advantages in terms of both detection speed and accuracy. However, the model shows deficiencies in focussing on key information, and its loss function's sensitivity to bounding boxes results in suboptimal performance in densely populated environments and small target detection scenarios. To address these issues, this study proposes a mask target detection method based on YOLOv7. By integrating a channel attention mechanism into the YOLOv7 model, this method enhances the model's focus on important information in images, effectively reducing interference from background factors. Additionally, the method incorporates Normalized Wasserstein Distance (NWD) into the loss function to optimize the model's evaluation of small target detection. Experimental verification shows that the improved model maintains its original detection speed while increasing the overall accuracy to 92.1%, a 2.9% improvement over the original YOLOv7 model. It achieves a 3.3% increase in the mAP.5 metric. This indicates that the optimised YOLOv7 model has superior detection capabilities, allowing it to perform mask-wearing detection tasks more rapidly and accurately in natural environments.

The target high resolution range profile (HRRP) is the sum of the vector projected on the radar line of sight of the target scatters, which can reflect the radial structure characteristics of the target and is one of the important means of radar target recognition. Existing HRRP-based target recognition methods adopt the idea of machine learning classification, which usually require sufficient training samples to obtain satisfactory recognition performance. To solve the dilemma of insufficient radar HRRP data caused by factors such as non-cooperative target and complexity of data acquisition process, this paper uses denoising diffusion probabilistic models (DDPM) to generate HRRP data. Furthermore, to solve the problem that the DDPM generation speed is too slow to meet the actual needs, this paper designs a fast DDPM HRRP (FDH) data generation method based on progressive knowledge distillation. Finally, the experimental results show that the generation speed is increased by about 25 times compared with the initial model under the premise of losing 7.6% similarity. © 2024 IEEE.

Uncertain knowledge graphs store the relations between entities in the real world in the form of weighted triples, where the weights indicate the confidence scores of the triples to be true. However, there is limited research on the inference of uncertain knowledge graphs, especially in the integration of symbolic and numerical methods. Rules are explicit knowledge. Encoding the rules directly can provide more knowledge graph semantic information and can make full use of the interpretability and accuracy of logical rules. Unfortunately, none of the existing methods directly encode rules for uncertain knowledge graphs, but only use rules to calculate the confidence of unseen triples in training data. In this paper, we propose a new reasoning model CRLUKG for uncertain knowledge graphs, that combines the advantages of symbolic and numerical reasoning. We directly encode rules mined from the knowledge graph as one of the inputs of the CRLUKG model. Compositional representation learning with triple and rule embedding is implemented for optimizing objective function for triples and relations pairs. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method enhances the accuracy of reasoning, and furthermore, CRLUKG exhibits superior performance in comparison to baseline models when handling multi-task scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a high-quality talking head generation method that is jointly driven by keypoints and action units, aiming to strike a balance between low-bandwidth transmission and high-quality generation in video conference scenarios. Existing methods for talking head generation often face limitations: they either require an excessive amount of driving information or struggle with accuracy and quality when adapted to low-bandwidth conditions. To address this, we decompose the talking head generation task into two components: a driving task, focused on information-limited control, and an enhancement task, aimed at achieving high-quality, high-definition output. Our proposed method innovatively incorporates the joint driving of keypoints and action units, improving the accuracy of pose and expression generation while remaining suitable for low-bandwidth environments. Furthermore, we implement a multistep video quality enhancement process, targeting both the entire frame and key regions, while incorporating temporal consistency constraints. By leveraging attention mechanisms, we enhance the realism of the challenging-to-generate mouth regions and mitigate background jitter through background fusion. Finally, a prior-driven super-resolution network is employed to achieve high-quality display. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method effectively supports low-resolution recording, low-bandwidth transmission, and high-definition display. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

As radar resolution improves, high-resolution radars have significantly enhanced target detection performance through the generation of high-resolution range profiles (HRRPs). However, when the range resolution is much smaller than the target, the target's energy is dispersed across multiple range cells, leading to poor detection performance with traditional energy-based detection algorithms. Furthermore, existing detection algorithms are highly sensitive to clutter characteristics and exhibit poor adaptability to varying scenarios. To address these issues, this paper proposes a Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) HRRP detection algorithm based on contrastive learning for multiple terrains. The algorithm improves the contrastive learning loss function to achieve well-clustered representations of clutter samples during training. Test samples are evaluated by calculating the Mahalanobis distance between them and the training samples, and compared against detection thresholds to accomplish target detection. Testing results show that the proposed algorithm achieves superior detection performance across multiple terrains. Furthermore, to reach a 90% detection probability, the proposed method requires a signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) reduction of 1 to 4 dB compared to the competing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Cross-domain few-shot scene classification (CDFSSC) is crucial for remote sensing (RS) applications since it aims at transferring knowledge learned from the source domain to the target domain to facilitate the model’s few-shot classification for the target domain. However, existing methods ignored the feature statistic discrepancy caused by domain shifts, leading to an inferior performance on the target domain. In this paper, to facilitate the model’s adaptation of the domain shifts and achieve better cross-domain knowledge transfer, an uncertainty-injected cross-domain framework called UICD is proposed for CDFSSC tasks from RS imagery. First, a semi-supervised teacher-student structure is employed to achieve cross-domain knowledge transfer by conducting supervised learning on labeled source data and establishing consistent predictions on unlabeled target data. Secondly, uncertainty is injected in feature statistic modeling during cross-domain training to obtain more diverse feature statistics for data from both the source and target domains, which could promote the robustness and adaptation of the model to domain shifts, thus enabling the model to better adapt to unforeseen variations in the target domain. Extensive experiment results indicate the efficacy and superiority of the proposed methods.

In this article, an adaptive event-triggered asymp¬totically fault-tolerant control (FTC) issue for nonlinear systems with actuator faults is investigated. An extended neural networks (NNs) technique is introduced to estimate unknown functions of the system under consideration. Compared with traditional NNs that ignore approximation errors, the proposed extended NNs further processes approximation errors, reducing the conservatism of the proposed algorithm. Then, within the framework of backstepping method, a new adaptive control strategy is developed by combining event-triggered mechanism (ETM) and bound estimation (BE) approach, which ensures the asymptotic convergence of system states while also reducing the transmission of unnecessary information, thus improving the utilization of communication resources. At the same time, the designed controller eliminates the adverse effects of actuator failures and system nonlinear terms. Finally, a simulation example of a single-link robot system is provided to demonstrate that the developed control strategy can ensure that all signals are bounded and system states are asymptotically convergent. © 2024 IEEE.

During these years, many advanced constrained multi-objective evolutionary algorithms (CMOEAs) have been developed to solve constrained multi-objective optimization problems (CMOPs). However, some existing constrained multi-objective algorithms do not use an archiving mechanism, which leads to easy loss of the searched feasible solutions during the search process. In addition, even if some algorithms use an archiving mechanism, an unsuitable archiving update strategy can cause difficulty in balancing the diversity and convergence of the archive set. To address these challenges, a two-stage constrained multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on a passive archiving mechanism (PA-CMOEA) is proposed in this paper. In the first stage, the constrained multi-objective problem is modeled as an unconstrained multi-objective problem, which allows the population to fully explore the decision space. The archive set is passively updated in a constraint-domination principle (CDP) criterion using population information. The goal of this stage is for the archive set to converge to the constrained Pareto front region of the problem with the help of population information. In the second stage, a local search is performed on the archive set. Specifically, the convergence and diversity of the archived solution set is improved while ensuring that the feasibility of the archived set is not worse. Finally, the algorithm outputs the archive set. To estimate the performance of the proposed algorithm, experiments are conducted on the LIRCMOP and CF benchmarks in comparison with some of the most popular algorithms.
