Abstract: Shopping at a farmer's market is a considerable daily challenge for the visually impaired. General indoor obstacle avoidance and navigation algorithms are not fully applicable to the crowded and dynamic shopping environment of farmer's market. To overcome these challenges and provide precise assistance to visually impaired, this paper proposes an intelligent vision-assisted (IVA) algorithm for navigating narrow and crowded farmer's market aisles. The algorithm employs a pedestrian detection camera based on deep learning as the hardware to intelligently detect the type and number of pedestrians in front, and guides a navigation robot to adopt corresponding obstacle avoidance strategies in time according to the detection results. Different from general obstacle avoidance methods, IVA doesn't have issues of guiding robot to make frequent turns and change routes when avoiding obstacles in a crowded and narrow environment, making it more suitable for the visually impaired. Additionally, this paper proposes an unknown seasonal product navigation (USPN) algorithm for robots to automatically search for navigation information that has changed. When used in conjunction with a camera driven by deep learning, USPN successfully guided a navigation robot to identify the names and coordinates of newly listed products. Compared with general navigation algorithms, USPN can guide robots to update product information timely and intelligently. Experimental tests conducted in a farmer's market demonstrated that IVA is more intelligent and efficient than the dynamic window approach (DWA) in obstacle avoidance performance, and it is more suitable for guiding the visually impaired;furthermore, USPN successfully guides the robot to automatically acquire products information that changes with the seasons, and the acquired product categories and locations are precise. According to the characteristics of the painting process of passenger car manufacturing enterprises, by formulating the routing buffer linkage rules based on the total renewal cost, the linkage process of the bus in the routing buffer is controlled, and an improved Q-learning (Q- The routing buffer of learning) algorithm quickly finds the optimal path method. According to the actual production situation, this method improves the dynamic parameters of the algorithm on the basis of the traditional Q-learning algorithm, and improves the optimization speed and accuracy of the algorithm by establishing the correlation between the work-in-process and its neighboring work-in-process in the current state. Through multiple sets of example simulation tests, the effectiveness of the Q-learning algorithm in solving the optimization problem of routing buffer linkage is verified. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the continuous development and application of industrial Internet, the weakness of the security defense capability of industrial Internet has become increasingly prominent. This paper presents an end-to-end classification model combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network for DDoS attacks over industrial Internet. By self-learning the spatial and temporal characteristics of the original attack traffic, the model can avoid subjective errors that may occur due to manual selection of features. This method is a feasible means, with an accuracy rate of 99%. © 2022 IEEE.

Underwater supporting robots serving as a relay of energy supplements and communication for other underwater equipment are promising for ocean exploration, development, and protection. This paper proposes a novel autonomous docking system centered on a designed supporting robotic fish named 'CourierFish'. Specifically, CourierFish is capable of docking with a surface dock station for supplying itself and docking with a seafloor platform for supporting equipment in the platform. A visual navigation scheme integrating LED and ArUco markers is presented for accurate localization. The control approach for docking motion is also illustrated. Simulations and aquatic experiments are performed to verify the feasibility of the proposed docking system. The obtained results lay a solid foundation for the construction of various underwater equipment and robot networks. © 2023 IEEE.

Accidents involving hazardous gas leakage from chemical plants occur frequently, highlighting the critical importance of accurately locating air pollution sources. Rapid localization of pollution sources through the collaborative efforts of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can help prevent major disasters. To address this, this paper presents an air pollution source tracking algorithm based on an improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm. By enhancing the inertia weight coefficient, the search efficiency and accuracy of the UAV swarm are significantly improved. The simulation environment considers a Gaussian plume model, which incorporates various atmospheric constraints such as temperature and wind speed, for UAV swarm navigation. The simulation results demonstrate that employing the particle swarm optimization algorithm to guide UAVs in locating pollution sources enables them to accurately identify the sources within a short period, exhibiting a high level of effectiveness and robustness.

In the mass customization manufacturing environment, manufacturing companies can connect to the customers directly via Internet and receive users manufacturing request to adjust the production resource and patterns. In this new situation, the allocation of manufacturing resources and the adjustment of production configuration should have the capability of timely responsing the demands from a large amount of customers. Therefore, efficient matching and processing of dynamic data from customer requirement and customized rules become increasingly important. This paper presents a semantic-based reasoning engine (hereinafter referred to as SBRE) in improving performance of rule engine. The paper uses a BP neural network to classify customer parameters from users requirements based on the semantic web interface. In this stage, for the customer parameters, in order to find a suitable rule engine, a semantic matching method is proposed, which can greatly mitigate complexity and improve the efficiency of matching compared with traditional matching process. In this paper, we first indicate that the block error event of polar codes under successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding is composed of path loss (PL) error event and path selection (PS) error event, where the PL error event is that correct codeword is lost during the SCL decoding and the PS error event is that correct codeword is reserved in the decoded list but not selected as the decoded codeword. Then, we simplify the PL error event by assuming the all-zero codeword is transmitted and derive the probability lower bound via the joint probability density of the log-likelihood ratios of information bits. Meanwhile, the union bound calculated by the minimum weight distribution is used to evaluate the probability of the PS error event. With the performance analysis, we design a greedy bit-swapping (BS) algorithm to construct polar codes by gradually swapping information bit and frozen bit to reduce the performance lower bound of SCL decoding. The simulation results show that the BLER performance of SCL decoding is close to the lower bound in the medium to high signal-to-noise ratio region and we can optimize the lower bound to improve the BLER performance of SCL decoding by the BS algorithm. The requirements of modern industry on the response speed and accuracy of voice coil motors has been the gradual growth, and PID control algorithms have become increasingly unable to meet their requirements. The use of sliding mode control can speed up the response time of the motor, and it also can improve the response speed, overshoot and instability problems in some degree. However, the sliding mode control algorithm will bring jitter to the entire system. This paper combines fuzzy control and sliding mode control to adjust the parameters of the sliding mode control algorithm in real time, which greatly reduces the jitter problem caused by the sliding mode. According to the actual parameters of the voice coil motor, the transfer function of the voice coil motor is deduced, a simulation model of fuzzy sliding mode control is built, and the sliding mode control and fuzzy sliding mode control algorithms are compared. Finally, two signals of step and sine are used as inputs for simulation model. It can be seen through the simulation waveform that the fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm can improve the response speed of the control system and reduce the tracking error. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Blockchain technology can bring profound changes to the energy industry and is now becoming a new driving force for the rapid development of this sector. In order to build a secure, reliable, and stable energy service system, it is necessary to study the framework and interaction mechanism of the energy trading system. This paper introduces a distributed integrated energy trading solution, proposes a new overall architecture, and analyses the blockchain model. This paper presents an algorithm to calculate the score directly in the client. Through this algorithm, users can choose service providers, get rid of cloud control, and realize users' free choice of electricity purchase and interaction between users through the smart contract. The test results show that the system has high performance and efficiency, can meet the needs of integrated energy transactions, and provides a solution for the application of blockchain in energy trading. © 2021 IEEE.

Beam-based flexural pivots are widely adopted as compliant mechanisms due to their ideal design for achieving low torsional stiffness and high translational stiffness. Usually, the flexural hinges are optimized for a specific application in compliant mechanisms. However, designing flexure hinges with an arbitrary center of rotation presents a significant challenge, especially when aiming to accommodate large deformations. Addressing this, we introduce an approach to optimize the topology structure of beam-based flexural pivots undergoing large deformation, aiming to achieve an optimized configuration with an arbitrary center of rotation. Both the stiffness based objective function and strain energy based objective function are introduced. For the implementation, a geometrically exact beam element is utilized to establish a dual-layer ground structure for optimization. A genetic algorithm is employed to identify optimal configurations for flexural hinges, including traditional notch hinges and cross-spring pivots. Furthermore, how different objective functions and their corresponding parameters influence the optimized configurations are examined. Ultimately, using three examples with an arbitrary center of rotation, this approach achieves optimal design results. The results demonstrate that this approach can serve as a foundation for designing compliant mechanisms with an arbitrary center of rotation. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
