Due to the limited resources, authentication schemes for low-cost wireless sensors networks (WSNs) environment prefer to use lightweight cryptographic primitives, like symmetric key encryption/decryption or hash functions. It makes the designing of a lightweight anonymous authentication scheme with forward secrecy to be a challenge. In the past decade, researchers have proposed a large number of lightweight authentication schemes to achieve user anonymity and forward secrecy. However, to the best of our knowledge, most of these schemes suffers from a variety of security issues or design flaws, such as the problem of asynchronization, impractical gateway node search operation, etc. In this work, two general frameworks are presented for both security features from existing authentication schemes in WSNs. Then, we compare the security features and performances of representative schemes, and an assessment result is provided for lightweight anonymous authentication with forward secrecy.

multiPI-TransBTS: A multi-path learning framework for brain tumor image segmentation based on multi-physical information

Brain Tumor Segmentation (BraTS) plays a critical role in clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring the progression of brain tumors. However, due to the variability in tumor appearance, size, and intensity across different MRI modalities, automated segmentation remains a challenging task. In this study, we propose a novel Transformer-based framework, multiPI-TransBTS, which integrates multi-physical information to enhance segmentation accuracy. The model leverages spatial information, semantic information, and multi-modal imaging data, addressing the inherent heterogeneity in brain tumor characteristics. The multiPI-TransBTS framework consists of an encoder, an Adaptive Feature Fusion (AFF) module, and a multi-source, multi-scale feature decoder. The encoder incorporates a multi-branch architecture to separately extract modality-specific features from different MRI sequences. The AFF module fuses information from multiple sources using channel-wise and element-wise attention, ensuring effective feature recalibration. The decoder combines both common and task-specific features through a Task-Specific Feature Introduction (TSFI) strategy, producing accurate segmentation outputs for Whole Tumor (WT), Tumor Core (TC), and Enhancing Tumor (ET) regions. Comprehensive evaluations on the BraTS2019 and BraTS2020 datasets demonstrate the superiority of multiPI-TransBTS over the state-of-the-art methods. The model consistently achieves better Dice coefficients, Hausdorff distances, and Sensitivity scores, highlighting its effectiveness in addressing the BraTS challenges. Our results also indicate the need for further exploration of the balance between precision and recall in the ET segmentation task. The proposed framework represents a significant advancement in BraTS, with potential implications for improving clinical outcomes for brain tumor patients. © 2025

With the rapid growth of internet content, multimodal long document data has become increasingly prominent, drawing significant attention from researchers. However, most existing methods primarily focus on scenarios where all modalities are present, often overlooking more challenging and realistic cases involving missing image modality. To address this limitation, we propose a robust multimodal long document classification (MLDC) framework that integrates hierarchical modeling and dynamic prompting to handle complex multimodal long document data. Our approach begins by leveraging hierarchical modeling combined with an Adaptive Correlation Multimodal Transformer (ACMT) to effectively capture relationships between text and images at both section and sentence levels. We also introduce a Dynamic Prompt Generation (DPG) module at both levels to enhance the model's robustness in handling missing image data. By evaluating sample uncertainty, the DPG module dynamically adjusts both the number of prompts and the prompts themselves, allowing the model to better adapt to the varying needs of different samples. Finally, a Hierarchical Heterogeneous Graph (HHG) is introduced to enhance feature interactions across levels, further improving the coherence and accuracy of the model. Extensive experiments on four multi-modal long document datasets demonstrate that our model shows superior performance compared to existing state-of-the-art MLDC classification methods in various conditions. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

The complexity and diversity of smart grid systems increase the likelihood of anomalies in communications between devices in the system, and how these anomalies are detected is critical to the security of the grid system. However, the distribution of traffic types in the grid is often highly unbalanced, with the total amount of normal traffic data often far outweighing the anomalous data. This imbalance compromises the effectiveness of the detection model and poses a significant threat to the overall security of the grid This paper improves on traditional conditional generation adversarial neural networks and designs a new approach to overcome this obstacle and enhance the security of smart grid systems. In the generator part, the spatial features of the data are captured by convolutional neural networks, and the temporal features of the data are captured by gated recurrent units. By integrating these two components into the generative network we can generate synthetic data with both temporal and spatial features, thus enhancing the minority class samples. By incorporating the augmented minority data into the training process, the proposed approach enables the detection model to understand the distribution of features of the minority anomaly samples more accurately. This improved learning accuracy translates into improved model performance, resulting in higher detection rates for Previously under-represented anomalies. In addition, our approach effectively addresses the inherent bias towards traffic types with higher flows typically observed in asymmetric datasets, thus providing a more equitable and comprehensive security solution for smart grid systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Existing studies for representation learning of homogeneous information networks cannot be applicable to academic heterogeneous information networks (HINs) with multi-type nodes and multi-relationships because of the lack of ability to issue heterogeneity. Meanwhile, due to the closeness and blocking of businesses among different enterprises, there is a serious phenomenon of data islands. To solve the above challenges, we proposed an academic heterogeneous information network embedding representation learning method based on federated learning (FedAHE), which utilizes node attention and meta path attention mechanism to learn low-dimensional, dense and real-valued vector representations while preserving the rich topological information and meta-path-based semantic information of nodes in network. Moreover, we combined federated learning with the representation learning of academic HINs and put forward a federal training mechanism based on dynamic weighted aggregation of parameters (FedDWA) to optimize the node embeddings of HINs. Through sufficient experiments, the efficiency, accuracy and feasibility of our proposed framework are demonstrated. © 2022 IEEE.

Fix the Tests: Augmenting LLMs to Repair Test Cases with Static Collector and Neural Reranker

During software evolution, it is advocated that test code should co-evolve with production code. In real development scenarios, test updating may lag behind production code changing, which may cause compilation failure or bring other troubles. Existing techniques based on pre-trained language models can be directly adopted to repair obsolete tests caused by such unsynchronized code changes, especially syntactic-related ones. However, the lack of task-oriented contextual information affects the repair accuracy on large-scale projects. Starting from an obsolete test, the key challenging task is precisely identifying and constructing Test-Repair-Oriented Contexts (TROCtxs) from the whole repository within a limited token size. In this paper, we propose SYNTER (SYNtactic-breaking-changes-induced TEst Repair), a novel approach based on LLMs to automatically repair obsolete test cases via precise and concise TROCtxs construction. Inspired by developers’ programming practices, we design three types of TROCtx: class context, usage context, and environment context. Given an obsolete test case to repair, SYNTER firstly collects the related code information for each type of TROCtx through static analysis techniques automatically. Then, it generates reranking queries to identify the most relevant TROCtxs, which will be taken as the repair-required key contexts and be input to the large language model for the final test repair. To evaluate the effectiveness of SYNTER, we construct a benchmark dataset that contains a set of obsolete tests caused by syntactic breaking changes. The experimental results show that SYNTER outperforms baseline approaches both on textual- and intent-matching metrics. Scene recognition, particularly for aerial and underwater images, often suffers from various types of degradation, such as blurring or overexposure. Previous works that focus on convolutional neural networks have been shown to be able to extract panoramic semantic features and perform well on scene recognition tasks. However, low-quality images still impede model performance due to the inappropriate use of high-level semantic features. To address these challenges, we propose an adaptive selection mechanism to identify the most important and robust regions with high-level features. Thus, the model can perform learning via these regions to avoid interference. implement a learnable mask in the neural network, which can filter high-level features by assigning weights to different regions of the feature matrix. We also introduce a regularization term to further enhance the significance of key high-level feature regions. Different from previous methods, our learnable matrix pays extra attention to regions that are important to multiple categories but may cause misclassification and sets constraints to reduce the influence of such regions. This is a plug-and-play architecture that can be easily extended to other methods. Additionally, we construct an Underwater Geological Scene Classification dataset to assess the effectiveness of our model. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the superiority and robustness of our proposed method over state-of-the-art techniques on two datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

Weakly supervised 3D semantic segmentation has successfully mitigated the labor-intensive and time-consuming task of annotating 3D point clouds. However, reliably utilizing the minimal point-wise annotations for unlabeled data in complex and large-scale scenes is still challenging, such as only 20 points labeled in 2 million points. To tackle this challenge, we propose a new Uncertainty-aware Superpoint Graph Transformer (UaSGT) framework that utilizes minimal annotations for unlabeled data learning through reliable long-range supervision propagation from labeled superpoints to unlabeled superpoints. First, we propose a superpoint graph transformer to achieve long-range supervision propagation along the attention-based fuzzy subsets defined on superpoints. The attention-based fuzzy subset measures the membership of unlabeled superpoints to clusters centered on labeled superpoints. Second, we employ an uncertainty-aware membership rectification technique on the fuzzy subset to ensure reliable propagation among superpoints within the same category. This technique integrates an uncertainty prediction module to mask the influence of unreliable membership and a spatial prior refinement module to reduce uncertainty in intra-class membership degrees. Finally, experimental results on two large-scale benchmarks S3DIS and ScanNet-V2 demonstrate the superiority of our approach compared to the state-of-the-art with at least 90% annotation reduction, and our method also achieves comparable performance to fully supervised methods with less than 0.1% labeled points. With the rapid development of Internet technology, network assets have become an indispensable part of modern society. Especially in the face of high-value network assets, the attacker is faced with paying a greater cost to study the network structure. Due to the unknown attacker and attack means, the attacker has an advantage in the attack and defense situation. The moving target defense technique can flexibly change the static characteristics of the network attack surface and increase the difficulty for the attacker to detect the network, thus achieving the purpose of enhancing network security. Based on this technique, this paper proposes a defense strategy based on node confidence. It puts forward stricter constraints on the differential selection of address/port hopping paths, dynamically selects the hopping objects according to the node's confidence, and implements the defense strategy of differential complexity. This further increases the network's uncertainty and the difficulty for the attacker to detect the network structure. The experimental results show that in the path differentiation comparison, the maximum improvement is about 18% compared to the Dynamic Random Route Hopping strategy. In the CPU load experiment, the CPU load rate is reduced by about 4.625% on average compared to the Double Address Hopping strategy. Moreover, for larger hopping period, the proposed strategy also performs well in terms of CPU load rate. The proposed strategy also exhibits good performance in terms of CPU load ratio for large hopping cycles. © 2023 IEEE.
