An intelligent Privacy Protection Scheme for Efficient Edge Computation Offloading in IoV

As a pivotal enabler of intelligent transportation system(ITS), Internet of vehicles(Io V) has aroused extensive attention from academia and industry. The exponential growth of computation-intensive, latency-sensitive,and privacy-aware vehicular applications in Io V result in the transformation from cloud computing to edge computing,which enables tasks to be offloaded to edge nodes(ENs) closer to vehicles for efficient execution. In ITS environment,however, due to dynamic and stochastic computation offloading requests, it is challenging to efficiently orchestrate offloading decisions for application requirements. How to accomplish complex computation offloading of vehicles while ensuring data privacy remains challenging. In this paper, we propose an intelligent computation offloading with privacy protection scheme, named COPP. In particular, an Advanced Encryption Standard-based encryption method is utilized to implement privacy protection. Furthermore, an online offloading scheme is proposed to find optimal offloading policies. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that COPP significantly outperforms benchmark schemes in the performance of both delay and energy consumption.

The innovative city network integrates numerous computational and physical components to develop real-time systems. These systems can capture sensor data and distribute it to end stations. Most solutions have been presented based on the centralized computing paradigm, which effectively and systematically increases data flow;however, distributed wireless technologies and heterogeneous network services continue to raise significant research problems. These challenges lower the optimization criteria and reflect communication structure around the network edges. In this research, we proposed a sustainable development for smart networks using efficient big data management with collaborative decisions for network devices. It differs from most existing work in the mentioned aspect. It applies computational lightweight intelligence for forwarding collected data using mobile collectors and reduces the congestion flow between devices on the limited bandwidth of wireless links. Moreover, the energy load is efficiently managed with edge-driven methods, and the incorporation of trusted devices ensures the integrity of the smart network. It also tackles potential communication threats smartly. Based on the experiments conducted in Network Simulator (NS-3), the proposed model enhances the efficacy of smart networks for performance metrics with reliability and effective management of resources in Internet of Things (IoT) network. © 2025 IEEE.

Leveraging user's preference and social circle for personalized recommendation via matrix factorization with sub-linear convergence rate

Recommender systems aim to filter information effectively and recommend useful sources to match users' requirements. However, the exponential growth of information in recent social networks may cause low prediction accuracy for recommendation systems. This article proposes a unified personalized recommendation architecture referred to as PSRec, which incorporates user preference and social relationship into matrix factorization framework. Specifically, PSRec generates two collections for textual reviews and contextual information respectively, and performs preference learning for each user via the Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic model. Moreover, PSRec exploits the inner relations within the social circle for recommendation, including direct trust relationship and indirect trust relationship. Additionally, it's certificated that PSRec can converge at a sub-linear rate via theoretical analysis. Experimental results over DoubanMovie, CiaoDVDs and Yelp demonstrate the superiority of the proposed PSRec, which can achieve significant improvements and provide much better user experience while compared with other benchmark models. © 2024 - IOS Press. In high-risk industrial environments like nuclear power plants, precise defect identification and localization are essential for maintaining production stability and safety. However, the complexity of such a harsh environment leads to significant variations in the shape and size of the defects. To address this challenge, we propose the multivariate time series segmentation network(MSSN), which adopts a multiscale convolutional network with multi-stage and depth-separable convolutions for efficient feature extraction through variable-length templates. To tackle the classification difficulty caused by structural signal variance, MSSN employs logarithmic normalization to adjust instance distributions. Furthermore, it integrates classification with smoothing loss functions to accurately identify defect segments amid similar structural and defect signal subsequences. Our algorithm evaluated on both the Mackey-Glass dataset and industrial dataset achieves over 95% localization and demonstrates the capture capability on the synthetic dataset. In a nuclear plant's heat transfer tube dataset, it captures 90% of defect instances with75% middle localization F1 score.

For permanent magnet synchronous machines(PMSMs),accurate inductance is critical for control design and condition *** to magnetic saturation,existing methods require nonlinear saturation model and measurements from multiple load/current conditions,and the estimation is relying on the accuracy of saturation model and other machine parameters in the *** harmonic produced by harmonic currents is inductance-dependent,and thus this paper explores the use of magnitude and phase angle of the speed harmonic for accurate inductance *** estimation models are built based on either the magnitude or phase angle,and the inductances can be from d-axis voltage and the magnitude or phase angle,in which the filter influence in harmonic extraction is considered to ensure the estimation *** inductances can be estimated from the measurements under one load condition,which is free of saturation ***,the inductance estimation is robust to the change of other machine *** proposed approach can effectively improve estimation accuracy especially under the condition with low current *** and comparisons are conducted on a test PMSM to validate the proposed approach.

Federated Collaborative Graph Neural Networks for Few-shot Graph Classification

Graph neural networks(GNNs)have achieved state-of-the-art performance on graph classification tasks,which aim to pre-dict the class labels of entire graphs and have widespread ***,existing GNN based methods for graph classification are data-hungry and ignore the fact that labeling graph examples is extremely expensive due to the intrinsic *** import-antly,real-world graph data are often scattered in different *** by these observations,this article presents federated collaborative graph neural networks for few-shot graph classification,termed *** its owned graph examples,each client first trains two branches to collaboratively characterize each graph from different views and obtains a high-quality local few-shot graph learn-ing model that can generalize to novel categories not seen while *** each branch,initial graph embeddings are extracted by any GNN and the relation information among graph examples is incorporated to produce refined graph representations via relation aggrega-tion layers for few-shot graph classification,which can reduce over-fitting while learning with scarce labeled graph ***,multiple clients owning graph data unitedly train the few-shot graph classification models with better generalization ability and effect-ively tackle the graph data island *** experimental results on few-shot graph classification benchmarks demonstrate the ef-fectiveness and superiority of our proposed framework.

This review investigates the latest advancements in intelligent Network-on-Chip (NoC) architectures, focusing on innovations from 2022 to 2024. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into NoC designs has driven significant improvements in performance, scalability, energy efficiency, and security. Key contributions include AI/ML-driven techniques to optimize routing, reduce latency, manage power consumption, and enhancing security against emerging threats. Despite these advancements, challenges such as computational overhead and integration complexities remain. This review consolidates these findings, addresses existing challenges, and proposes future research directions to further leverage AI and ML for developing robust and adaptable NoC architectures. © 2024 IEEE.
