This paper presents a fully digital auto-focusing (FDAF) system using a priori obtained point spread function (PSF) dataset. The proposed FDAF algorithm aims at low-cost, affordable consumer's imaging electronics free from either optical or mechanical focusing parts. The proposed algorithm consists of three steps: i) a priori estimation of a set of PSFs, ii) automatic selection of a proper PSF from the blurred input image, and iii) restoration the out-of-focused image by selecting the optimal PSF from the a priori obtained dataset. The proposed algorithm can realize low-cost, high-quality imaging systems, such as digital still cameras, mobile camera phones, and surveillance cameras.

Existing methods to stabilize an image often make an incorrect motion vector by an improper choice of motion estimation or correction method. In this paper, we provide a new directional optimization of a recently developed class of weighted vector directional filters (WVDFs) that represent a powerful tool for removing impulsive noise, bit errors and color artifacts in color images. Depending on the weight coefficients, the WVDFs can be designed to perform a wide range of smoothing operations. The proposed optimization process based on sigmoidal approximation of the sign function and utilizing local information allows to adapt the WVDF behavior to statistical properties of both noise and useful signal, saves the memory space and is easy to implement. The proposed sigmoidal function based optimal WVDFs find the application in denoising of standard color images and digitized old color photos, they are able to remove impulsive noise and outliers, and provide excellent signal-detail and color chromaticity preservation.

In this paper, we present a weighted adaptive image defogging method by extracting features in the RGB color channels. We adaptively detect an atmospheric light through undesired fog in the dark channel prior obtained in the YCbCr color channels and generate a transmission map based on the detected atmospheric light. We adaptively remove the fog by applying the color correction algorithm based on the feature extraction in the RGB color channels. The proposed algorithm can overcome the problem of local color distortion, which is known to be the limitations of existing defogging techniques. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can remove image degradation caused by fog, clouds, smoke, and dust in digital imaging devices.

This paper investigates the robust flocking problem for second-order nonlinear systems with a leader and external *** contrast with most of second-order systems in the literature,the intrinsic dynamics here are nonlinear and non-identical that depend not only on the velocity but also on the position,which is more ***,the interaction topology is undirected and *** that the leader’s velocity may be constant or time-varying,two distributed flocking control laws have been proposed for two cases to make the differences of the velocities between all followers and the leader approach to zero *** proposed distributed flocking control laws are both model-independent which results in the effectiveness of the controllers to cope with the different intrinsic dynamics of the followers and the leader under some assumptions on boundedness of several *** example is given to illustrate the validity of the theoretical results.
