Background: Neurological manifestations can occur in up to half of patients with Sjögren disease (SjD) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS) is the most commonly involved (5-21%). Objectives: To analyze the frequency and phenotypic expression of PNS involvement at the time of SjD diagnosis Methods: The Big Data Project Consortium is an international, multicenter registry created in 2014. Baseline clinical information from leading centers on clinical research in SjD of the five continents was collected as a first step. The centers share a harmonized data architecture and conduct cooperative online efforts to refine collected data under the coordination of a big data statistical team. The inclusion criteria were the fulfillment of the 2002 or 2016 classification criteria. Results: By December 2023, the participant centers had included 16’703 patients from 28 countries (15’602 women, mean age at diagnosis of 51.66 years). PNS involvement at diagnosis, defined according to the ESSDAI classification, was reported in 869 (5.2%) patients. Among them, 518 (60%) showed mild active PNS involvement (pure sensory axonal polyneuropathy, V neuralgia, or proven small fibre neuropathy), 264 (30%) showed moderate involvement (axonal sensory–moto neuropathy, cryoglobulinemic pure sensory neuropathy, mild/moderate ganglionopathy, mild chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy -CIDP-, or other cranial nerve involvements), and 87 (10%) showed highly active PNS involvement (severe motor axonal neuropathy, mononeuritis multiplex, severe ataxia due to ganglionopathy, or severe CIDP). Univariate analysis showed that patients with PNS involvement were more frequently men, diagnosed at an older age, white, had a higher frequency of activity in all the 12 ESSDAI domains and more commonly hypocomplementemia and cryoglobulinemia (all P-values <0.001). Background: Central nervous system (CNS) involvement is one of the numerous extra-glandular manifestations of primary Sjögren disease (SjD) and it has been described in 8-70% of patients at various stages of the disease. Objectives: To characterize how CNS involvement presents at the diagnosis of SjD. Methods: The Big Data Sjögren Consortium is an international, multicentre registry created in 2014. Baseline clinical information from leading centers on clinical research in SjD of the five continents was collected as a first step. The centers share a harmonized data architecture and conduct cooperative online efforts to refine collected data under the coordination of a big data statistical team. The inclusion criteria were the fulfillment of the 2002 or 2016 classification criteria. CNS involvement at diagnosis was defined according to the EULAR Sjögren syndrome disease activity index (ESSDAI) classification. Results: By December 2023, 16,703 patients from 28 countries (15’602 women, mean age at diagnosis of 51.66 years) were included. Among them, 284 (1.7%) showed CNS involvement at the rime of SjD diagnosis, including 173 with moderate involvement (cranial nerve involvement of central origin, optic neuritis, or multiple sclerosis-like syndrome with symptoms restricted to pure sensory impairment or proven cognitive impairment) and 111 with highly active CNS involvement (symptomatic cerebral vasculitis, seizures, transverse myelitis, lymphocytic meningitis, or multiple sclerosis-like syndrome with motor deficit). Univariate analysis showed that patients with CNS involvement were more frequently men and white, had the constitutional, renal, muscular, and peripheral nervous system ESSDAI domains more frequently involved, and more often low C3 values (all P-values <0.001). Material stocks in long-lived products require over half of the annual global resource extraction for their construction and maintenance, and lock in energy use through their technical and geospatial characteristics. A thorough understanding of material stocks is therefore essential to inform sustainable resource use strategies. However, despite substantial advances in material stock research in recent decades, their robust quantification remains challenging and bears considerable uncertainties. We assess the (dis)agreement of material stock estimates from 32 recent studies across global, national, and urban scales, and propose recommendations for future work. Overall, we observe medium to high divergences between studies estimating the same material stocks. For end-use categories that aggregate multiple material stocks (e.g., buildings), most global-level estimates show divergences within 140 %. At the national level, most estimates for the USA diverge by <210 %, while those for China by <550 %. At the urban level, most estimates for Beijing fall within 90 %, and for Vienna, within 70 %. For low-income countries, non-residential buildings, and individual materials, the differences are often substantially higher, highlighting the need for an improved scientific basis for policy and planning. These disparities arise from differences in system boundaries, methodology, data sources, definitions, and lack of data to capture the diversity of material stock types. To robustly inform sustainable resource use strategies, the scientific community and practitioners should systematically assess and report sensitivity and uncertainty, and reduce the latter through transparent documentation, model intercomparisons, consensus and open-access databases, enhanced data collection, and comprehensive quantification of material stocks.

We present the largest optical photometry compilation of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) with redshifts (z). We include 64813 observations of 535 events (including upper limits) from 28 February 1997 to 18 August 2023. We also present a user-friendly web tool grbLC which allows users to visualise photometry, coordinates, redshift, host galaxy extinction, and spectral indices for each event in our database. Furthermore, we have added a Gamma-ray Coordinate Network (GCN) scraper that can be used to collect data by gathering magnitudes from the GCNs. The web tool also includes a package for uniformly investigating colour evolution. We compute the optical spectral indices for 138 GRBs, for which we have at least 4 filters at the same epoch in our sample, and craft a procedure to distinguish between GRBs with and without colour evolution. By providing a uniform format and repository for the optical catalogue, this web-based archive is the first step towards unifying several community efforts to gather the photometric information for all GRBs with known redshifts. This catalogue will enable population studies by providing light curves (LCs) with better coverage since we have gathered data from different ground-based locations. Consequently, these LCs can be used to train future LC reconstructions for an extended inference of the redshift. The data gathering also allows us to fill some of the orbital gaps from Swift in crucial points of the LCs, e.g., at the end of the plateau emission or where a jet break is identified. The recent Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) sets ambitious goals but no clear pathway for how zero loss of important biodiversity areas and halting human-induced extinction of threatened species will be achieved. We assembled a multi-taxa tracking dataset (11 million geopositions from 15,845 tracked individuals across 121 species) to provide a global assessment of space use of highly mobile marine megafauna, showing that 63% of the area that they cover is used 80% of the time as important migratory corridors or residence areas. The GBF 30% threshold (Target 3) will be insufficient for marine megafauna’s effective conservation, leaving important areas exposed to major anthropogenic threats. Coupling area protection with mitigation strategies (e.g., fishing regulation, wildlife-traffic separation) will be essential to reach international goals and conserve biodiversity.
