Dynamic symbolic execution is a widely used technique for automated software testing, designed for execution paths exploration and program errors detection. A hybrid approach has recently become widespread, when the main goal of symbolic execution is helping fuzzer increase program coverage. The more branches symbolic executor can invert, the more useful it is for fuzzer. A program control flow often depends on memory values, which are obtained by computing address indexes from user input. However, most DSE tools don’t support such dependencies, so they miss some desired program *** implement symbolic addresses reasoning on memory reads in our dynamic symbolic execution tool Sydr. Possible memory access regions are determined by either analyzing memory address symbolic expressions, or binary searching with SMT-solver. We propose an enhanced linearization technique to model memory *** memory modeling methods are compared on the set of programs. Our evaluation shows that symbolic addresses handling allows to discover new symbolic branches and increase the program coverage.

A description of a newly developed implementation of the Particle Finite Element Method, 2nd generation (PFEM-2) is given. Main steps of the FEM and particles' parts of the algorithm are outlined. The results of its validation for a benchmark computation of a laminar flow are presented. Comparison with results obtained in the OpenFOAM code is also given. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper considers open-source tools for the logical-synthesis and place-and-route hardware design stages. Several flows (CADs), including qFlow, OpenLANE, Coriolis, VTR, and SymbiFlow, have been described. For experimental evaluation of these flows, two RISC-V implementations have been used: schoolRISCV and PicoRV32. The results show that open-source flows are capable to produce physical layouts for realistic examples. At the same time, commercial CADs allow generating more effective designs in terms of clock frequency. © 2021 IEEE.

A numerical and experimental study has been conducted to explore the influence of vertical wall on the wake of the non/ducted propeller. The numerical simulation is achieved using a structured and transient sliding mesh approach. The control equations are closed by the Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation (DDES), and the computational results are compared with the available experimental data. By dividing the ducted propeller flow wake vortex shape into different behavior regions, the temporal vortex evolution near the wake of the propellers under the influence of different vertical walls are emphatically analysed. The results show that the jet flow wake reaches the wall, forming a conical low-speed area at the centre of the wall. The fluid circulates from the outer side to the inner side of the cone, forming a vortex whose size first increases and then decreases with the distance between the propellers and the wall. In addition, the change of propellers wake velocity profile is given. The wake velocity of propeller and ducted propeller decreases exponentially and linearly along the flow direction, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper focuses on investigation of confidential documents leaks in the form of screen photographs. Proposed approach does not try to prevent leak in the first place but rather aims to determine source of the leak. Method works by applying on the screen a unique identifying watermark as semi-transparent image that is almost imperceptible for human eyes. Watermark image is static and stays on the screen all the time thus watermark present on every captured photograph of the screen. The key components of the approach are three neural networks. The first network generates an image with embedded message in a way that this image is almost invisible when displayed on the screen. The other two neural networks are used to retrieve embedded message with high accuracy. Developed method was comprehensively tested on different screen and cameras. Test results showed high efficiency of the proposed approach. © 2022 IEEE.

Application of different approaches for visualization of hydrodynamic fields of internal waves is closely connected with the possibility of extracting important numerical characteristics of the flows. In this paper we describe methods of visualisation, which were shown to be very effective for the illustration of the internal wave attractors both for laboratory experiments and numerical simulations. On the other hand, some novel approaches for description of the wave flows with accumulation of energy are discussed. Methods of vortices identification show interesting properties of the wave flows, and may give an alternative for the estimation of the width of wave beams. At the same time, the limitations of the applicability of the described methods strongly depend on the space and time resolution of the available data, which is especially important in the areas of the internal wave beam reflection. © 2021 National Research Nuclear University. Input/Output (I/O) automata are widely used when deriving high quality tests for (components of) complex discrete systems based on so called distinguishing sequences. For I/O automata, the number of distinguishability relations is much bigger than for classical deterministic Finite State Machines (FSM). In order to avoid submitting the same test sequence several number of times, i.e., avoid the "all weather conditions" assumption, the separability relation can be considered. If two Input/Output automata are separable then there exists an input sequence such that after submitting this sequence and observing produced outputs it can be uniquely concluded which automaton is under testing. In this paper, we modify the discipline of applying input sequences and discuss the derivation of separating sequences for automata with mixed states, i.e., states where transitions both under inputs and under outputs are defined, as well as with cycles labeled by outputs. We also illustrate how an adaptive separating sequence can be derived when both automata are input-enabled.

In this paper, we consider the synchronous composition of Finite State Machines (FSMs) that corresponds to instantaneous communication of hardware components. Such FSMs can be deterministic or nondeterministic, partial or complete. We first extend the existing synchronous composition operator from a pair of components to a collection of components with multiple input and output ports, and provide a procedure to compute the composition working directly on the collection of transition tables of the component FSMs. Then, based on the notion of input-output Moore pair (the output is not sensitive to the input), we prove the following sufficient condition: if the composition has the property that every cycle of ports has a component with a Moore pair, then the class of quasi-complete and quasi-deterministic FSMs is closed under the proposed synchronous composition.
