A fully flexible key delegation mechanism with efficient fine-grained access control in CP-ABE

Ciphertext Policy-Attribute Based Encryption (CP-ABE) is a secure one-to-many asymmetric encryption schemes where access control of a shared resource is defined in terms of a set of attributes possessed by a user. Key delegation service, where a user is able to temporally transfer its full or partial access rights, is an important requirement to make CP-ABE based systems practically useful. In existing CP-ABE delegation schemes, a delegator can delegate its entire or partial set of attributes such that all content accessible using those attributes becomes available to the delegatee also. Flexibility to delegate some specific content, which is a practical requirement, is not feasible with these schemes. Further, for a delegated resource, flexibility of fine grained delegation like delegating only a specific subset of read, write and update permissions is not yet available. In this work, CP-ABE key delegation has been enhanced to support specific content and specific permission delegation. The proposed scheme is fully flexible as it additionally supports limits on the number of times delegation can be done, delegatee revocation and traceability of forbidden delegation. Theoretical and practical analysis show that the proposed scheme achieves its objectives and is computationally efficient as well as secure against chosen plaintext and key abuse attacks. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Chatbots use artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to construct a clever system. By copying human connections in the most helpful way possi-ble, chatbots emulate individuals and serve as virtual assistants. They easily interface and respond to customers' requests. In the modern technical environment, these conversation agents or chatbots are considered the next-generation invention. Chatbot has become more popular in the business field right now as it can reduce customer service cost and handle multiple users at a time. There are many techniques used to involve such intelligent experts in daily business. A comprehensive analysis of the methods is needed to determine the viability of the different strategies. This paper tracks the progress of this invention and further clarifies the influence of chatbots on numerous businesses. Besides, a survey of the multiple chatbot methodologies suggested by various researchers is provid-ed. Along with the survey, a chatbot e-commerce customer service is designed to provide an efficient and accurate answer for any query based on the dataset of frequently asked questions. This chatbot can reduce customer service costs and can handle multiple customers at the same time. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers.

The work presented in this article investigates the effectiveness of presence of low work function live metal strip in improving the performance in terms of analog/RF and linearity parameters for Live-Strip-Dual-Material Gate-Oxide-Stack Double-Gate TFET (LWLS-DMGOSDG TFET) as compared to conventional DMGOSDG TFET under the influence of underlap of 5nm towards the source end. The analog/RF and linearity Figure of Merits (FoMs) such as transconductance (gm), gate-to-source and gate-to-drain capacitances, gain-bandwidth product (GBP), cut-off frequency (fT), second and third order transconductances, Input Intercept Point (IIP3), Voltage Intercept Point (VIP3) and intermodulation distortion (IMD3) have been considered during the device simulation. The simulation results approve the applicability of the proposed device for low power applications. © 2025 IEEE.

FMeAR: FACS Driven Ensemble Model for Micro-Expression Action Unit Recognition

Micro-expressions (MEs) are fleeting involuntary facial movements, which occur frequently when people attempt to conceal their emotions. Since human eyesight cannot detect fleeting and slight changes in facial expression, it is difficult to determine when spontaneous and low-intensity micro-expression occurs. The paper presents FMeAR which is a Facial action coding scheme (FACS) driven ensemble model for the micro-expression action unit recognition. Considering the simultaneous triggering of multiple facial AUs (action units), the problem is designed as a multiple-binary-class framework. First, each frame of the video is extracted and pre-processed thoroughly to eliminate any noise in the input. Then, features are extracted using an LBP descriptor from the pre-processed frames. To reduce the processing time, the size of the feature vector is reduced using PCA. Finally, reduced features are processed using a multiple ensemble model (comprising of Support Vector Machine, Linear Discriminant Analysis, and Decision Tree classifiers) to identify the micro-expressions action units. The presented model, FMeAR, outperforms several baseline frameworks and shows an accuracy of 95.3% for the CASME dataset, 95.9% for CASME-II, and 92.6% for MEVIEW. Intensive experiments demonstrated the effectiveness and generalization of FMeAR emphasizing its potential for various applications such as deception detection, depression detection, medical diagnosis, and many more. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this research paper,a solar air heater with triangular fins has been experimentally analysed and ***,an experimental set-up of a solar air heater having triangular fins has been developed at the location of 28.10°N,78.23°*** heat transfer rate through fins and fins efficiency has been determined by the Finite Difference Method model *** experimental data and modeled data of response parameters have been optimized in MINITAB-17 software by the Response Surface Methodology *** creating the response surface design,three input parameters have been selected namely solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height *** range of solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height ratio is 600 to 1000W/m^(2),4000 to 6000,and 0.4 to 0.8 *** response surface design has been analyzed by calculating the outlet temperature,friction factor,Nusselt number,fin efficiency,thermal performance factor,and exergy *** optimum settings of input parameters:solar intensity is 1000 W/m^(2);Reynolds number is 4969.7,and the fin base to height ratio is 0.6060,on which these response:namely outlet temperature of 92.531℃,friction factor of 0.2350,Nusselt number of 127.761,thermal efficiency of 50.836%,thermal performance factor of 1.4947,and exergy efficiency of 8.762%.

This research explores the potential of CH3NH3SnBr3 as a lead-free alternative in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) through SCAPS-1D simulations. PSCs have gathered immense attention for their high efficiency and low-cost fabrication, yet concerns regarding the toxicity and stability of lead-based perovskites persist. The device architecture is composed of ITO/TiO2/CH3NH3SnBr3/Cu2O/Au, where ITO serves as the transparent conductive layer, while TiO2 and Cu2O act as the electron and hole transport layers, respectively. The thickness of the perovskite layer was varied in equal increments from 100 to 1000 nm. increasing the perovskite layer's thickness has the potential to enhance the device's efficiency Furthermore, simulations examined the impact of parameters such as absorber thickness, interface defect density, temperature, and variations in series resistance and shunt resistance on cell performance. The efficiency of conversion for the device is estimated (efficiency)% at higher thickness. the study indicates that CH3NH3SnBr3 perovskite shows promise as a suitable material for future solar energy applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Skin cancer ranks among the most prevalent human malignancies, primarily diagnosed through visual methods, commencing with clinical screening, followed by dermoscopic analysis. The intricate alterations in the visual appearance of skin lesions pose a considerable challenge for automated classification through images. Deep learning techniques have been harnessed to support dermatologists in enhancing diagnostic accuracy. To address this, deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are employed to achieve highly discriminating and potentially generalizable results for image classification problems. This research introduces a prediction model designed to classify skin lesions into seven categories using the HAM10000 skin cancer dataset. The MobileNetV2, Resnet50, and DenseNet121 models were used in this study. The MobileNetV2 outperforms with 99.72 % accuracy and achieves 0.88, 0.89, and 0.88 values of precision, recall, and F1 score. © 2025 IEEE.

This work proposes a thorough numerical simulation investigation into the impact of temperature for electrically doped GaSb/GaAs heterojunction TFET. Extensive simulation-based analysis of the temperature variability of DC parameters over a 300-450 K temperature range, including transfer characteristics, sub-threshold swing (SS), and ON state current to OFF state current ratio (IoN/IoFF) has been demonstrated in this study. A standard EDTFET model and the suggested design are compared with regard to RF performance parameters. The RF/Analog conduct of the proposed design against temperature has also been investigated using the TCAD simulator. In the comparative study, it has been found that the GaSb/GaAs heterojunction TFET proposed here is more resistant to temperature effects than the conventional EDTFETs. This demonstrates that in applications that require low power at severe temperatures, the demonstrated GaSb/GaAs heterojunction TFET, is more reliable than the conventional TFET. © 2025 IEEE.

The recognition of individual activity has proven its importance in many application areas. Even after the pandemic crisis worldwide, the remote monitoring of human actions and their activities has increased a lot. In such situations, the smart sensors are utilized to capture the details remotely, share, and process intelligently using the computer-assisted machine. This paper introduces the new variant of the machine learning classifier, named Grid Search Based Nonlinear Multi-task Least Squares Twin Support Vector Machine (GMLT-SVM), to recognize human actions using sensory data. The proposed approach uses the grid search for hyperparameter tuning with a Nonlinear kernel for Multi-task classification in a twin support vector machine. This not only increases the efficacy of the model but also reduces the computation time for finding the optimal values of the hyper-parameters. The proposed approach when experimented with the sensory data of Human Action Recognition (HAR) gives an accuracy of 96.8%. The comparative analysis of the proposed method with existing other ML classifiers gives an increase in the accuracy of 94.2±2.6%. The experimental results suggest that the gained results are statistically significant enough to recognize human actions with sensory data. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Secure probe-based latency measurement using NTP and PTP for optimized gateway placement in LoRaWAN

The paper presents a novel framework for optimizing LoRaWAN gateway placement to enhance network performance and reliability. By integrating Network Time Protocol (NTP) for global synchronization and Precision Time Protocol (PTP) for local precision, the approach ensures accurate and secure latency measurements. A robust hash algorithm is employed to safeguard the integrity of latency data. The Performance Efficiency Index (PEI) is introduced as a comprehensive metric to evaluate key performance indicators such as latency, throughput, energy efficiency, and packet delivery ratio (PDR). The model incorporates factors like geographical distribution, signal strength, and gateway density to achieve optimal placement. Simulation results demonstrate the framework’s effectiveness in improving network latency, coverage, energy efficiency, and security, providing actionable insights for LoRaWAN-based IoT network design. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of Computer Applications and Management 2025.
