Wireless mesh network (WMN) is a new multi-hop network for broadband accessing to intemet. However, there exists a server unfairness problem based on different hop distances in WMN. To solve this problem, the unfairness issue was analyzed in test-bed experiment and NS2 simulation. A dynamic queue management scheme E-QMMN was proposed, which allocates the queue buffer according to the hop distance of every flow. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme can not only increase the hop distance fairness of the legacy scheme at most 50%, but also reduce the average round trip time at least 29% in congested WMN environments.

Concept lattice is an effective tool for data analysis and extracting classification rules. However, the classical concept lattice often produce a lot of redundant rules. Closed-label concept lattice realizes reduction of concept intention, which can be used to extract fewer rules than the classical concept lattice. This paper presents a method for classification rules extraction based on the closed-label concept lattice. Examples show that the proposed method is effective for extracting more concise classification rules.

A novel microstrip bandpass filter using stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) with asymmetric open stub-loaded is proposed in this paper. The filter uses asymmetric open stubs as capacitive loads, resulting in higher-order spurious frequencies suppression and wider upper stopband. Compared with the traditional filter based on stepped impedance resonators at the same design frequency of 2.4 GHz, the proposed filter can significantly reduce the circuit size of 45 %. By changing the geometric dimensions of the asymmetric open stub-loaded SIRs, which can achieve single-band bandpass filter at the centre frequency of 3.5 GHz and dual-band bandpass filter at the centre frequency of 2.4/3.5 GHz.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a class of ~20-24 nt long non-coding RNAs, have critical roles in diverse biological processes including devel- opment, proliferation, stress response, etc. With the development and availability of experimental technologies and computational approaches, the field of miRNA biology has advanced tremendously over the last decade. By sequence complementarity, miRNAs have been estimated to regulate certain mRNA transcripts. Although it was once thought to be simple and straightforward to find plant miR NA targets, this viewpoint is being challenged by genetic and biochemical studies. In this review, we summarize recent progress in plant miRNA target recognition mechanisms, principles of target prediction, and introduce current experimental and computational tools for plant miRNA target prediction. At the end, we also present our thinking on the outlook for future directions in the development of plant miRNA target finding methods.

Intermittently Connected Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (ICMANs) are mobile networks in which complete source-to-destination paths do not exist most of the time. This paper proposed a Predictable Adaptive Seed Spray routing (PASS) for intermittently connected mobile Ad Hoc networks. PASS is a cost-efficient delay-bounded routing protocol without network parameters and provides acceptable and resilient service in the face of challenged environments. Simulations have shown that PASS outperforms existing schemes such as Epidemic, binary spray & wait and AMR with respect to routing cost and adaptability.
