Accurate detection of protein binding sites is critical for facilitating drug design. Most existing models rely on features at a single scale, leading to the loss of crucial global or local structural information. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel 3D model (ResPocket), to fully capture the multi-scale features of proteins. First, Residual Block (ResB) based on U-Net is used to capture features from different scales, including global and local structural information. Then, an Enhanced Attention Module (EAM) is designed to encode semantic dependencies by effectively capturing global context information. In addition, ResPocket focuses on learning local information about protein pockets with Self-Guided Mask Block (SGMB), to increase the robustness of the overall model and reduce its dependence on external mask guidance. Experimental results show that ResPocket improves by an average of 4.89% on DCA Top-n, by an average of 1.48% and 2.25% on DCC and DVO metrics, respectively.

Background Data-driven event analysis has gradually become the backbone of modern competitive sports analysis. Competitive sports data analysis tasks increasingly use computer vision and machine-learning models for intelligent data analysis. Existing sports visualization systems focus on the player–team data visualization, which is not intuitive enough for team season win–loss data and game time-series data visualization and neglects the prediction of all-star players. Methods This study used an interactive visualization system designed with parallel aggregated ordered hypergraph dynamic hypergraphs, Calliope visualization data story technology,and i Storyline narrative visualization technology to visualize the regular statistics and game time data of players and teams. NPIPVis includes dynamic hypergraphs of a team’s wins and losses and game plot narrative visualization components. In addition, an integrated learning-based all-star player prediction model, SRR-voting, which starts from the existing minority and majority samples, was proposed using the synthetic minority oversampling technique and Random Under Sampler methods to generate and eliminate samples of a certain size to balance the number of allstar and average players in the datasets. Next, a random forest algorithm was introduced to extract and construct the features of players and combined with the voting integrated model to predict the all-star players, using GridSearch CV, to optimize the hyperparameters of each model in integrated learning and then combined with five-fold cross-validation to improve the generalization ability of the model. Finally, the SHapley Additive ex Planations(SHAP) model was introduced to enhance the interpretability of the model. Results The experimental results of comparing the SRR-voting model with six common models show that the accuracy, F1-score, and recall metrics are significantly improved, which verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the SRR-voting model. With the continuous development of construction technology and computer technology, in order to meet the needs of concrete quality management, a real-time monitoring information system based on computer vision is established. The identification label is added to the concrete specimen to prevent the exchange of concrete specimens. According to the needs of the application scene, this paper proposes a new feature point extraction algorithm based on Harris. By improving the positioning accuracy of feature points, it can avoid the interference of background noise points or feature points in unclear focus area on feature matching and the calculation of projection matrix;and a few feature points are used to calibrate the camera, which overcomes the problem that the traditional camera calibration method needs to make a calibration board. Experiments show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has good stability to illumination, camera angle and distractors, and is flexible in application. © 2022 IEEE.

Semantic segmentation in the context of 3D point clouds for the railway environment holds a significant economic value,but its development is severely hindered by the lack of suitable and specific ***,the models trained on existing urban road point cloud datasets demonstrate poor generalisation on railway data due to a large domain gap caused by non-overlapping special/rare categories,for example,rail track,track bed *** harness the potential of supervised learning methods in the domain of 3D railway semantic segmentation,we introduce RailPC,a new point cloud *** provides a large-scale dataset with rich annotations for semantic segmentation in the railway ***,RailPC contains twice the number of annotated points compared to the largest available mobile laser scanning(MLS)point cloud dataset and is the first railway-specific 3D dataset for semantic *** covers a total of nearly 25 km railway in two different scenes(urban and mountain),with 3 billion points that are finely labelled as 16 most typical classes with respect to railway,and the data acquisition process is completed in China by MLS *** extensive experimentation,we evaluate the performance of advanced scene understanding methods on the annotated dataset and present a synthetic analysis of semantic segmentation *** on our findings,we establish some critical challenges towards railway-scale point cloud semantic *** dataset is available at https://***/NNU-GISA/GISA-RailPC,and we will continuously update it based on community feedback.

The data of applications in connected and autonomous vehicles are important, which is usually collected by service providers to improve their services, such as object detection model. But, wireless communication is susceptible to various kinds of attacks. Thus, the data of the application module needs to be securely shared to the corresponding service provider. However, current schemes are with limited performance while a service provider collects multiple application data at the same time. By adopting signcryption and chaotic map, an efficient authentication and key agreement scheme is proposed, while batch authentication is achieved for efficient message authentication of multiple applications, and the efficient revocation is realized based on Chinese remainder theorem under the assistance of trusted execution environment supported vehicle computing/communication unit. The formal security proof shows that the scheme is secure under the random oracle model, and the experiment results shows that the scheme is more efficient than related schemes and can meet the requirements of CAV. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Enhancing NR-IQA Model Robustness through Simple Image Compression Techniques

No-Reference Image Quality Assessment (NR-IQA) plays a crucial role in various real-world applications by predicting image quality scores without the need for reference images. Despite the impressive performance of deep learning-based NR-IQA models, they remain vulnerable to adversarial attacks, which introduce imperceptible perturbations to input images, causing significant changes in predicted scores. In this study, we explore the use of simple JPEG compression techniques, as well as their combination with norm regularization training, to defend against these adversarial attacks. Our results demonstrate that image compression is an effective method to enhance model robustness, and it can further improve the robustness of NR-IQA models when combined with appropriate training strategies. Since excessive compression may reduce performance on clean images, it is essential to strike a balance. This work provides valuable insights into designing effective image compression methods for NR-IQA models. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, big data, and generative AI models has ushered in significant transformations across various sectors, including education. Digital Human Technique, an innovative technology grounded in advanced computer science and artificial intelligence, is reshaping educational paradigms by enabling virtual humans to simulate human behavior, express emotions, and interact with users. This paper explores the application of Digital Human Technique in education reform, focusing on creating immersive, intelligent classroom experiences that foster meaningful interactions between teachers and students. We define Digital Human Technique and delve into its key technical components such as character modeling and rendering, natural language processing, computer vision, and augmented reality technologies. Our methodology involves analyzing the role of educational digital humans created through these technologies, assessing their impact on educational processes, and examining various application scenarios in educational reform. Results indicate that Digital Human Technique significantly enhances the learning experience by enabling personalized teaching, increasing engagement, and fostering emotional connections. Educational digital humans serve as virtual teachers, interactive learning aids, and facilitators of emotional interaction, effectively addressing the challenges of traditional educational methods. Meta Ordinal Regression Forest for Medical Image Classification With Ordinal Labels

The performance of medical image classification has been enhanced by deep convolutional neural networks(CNNs),which are typically trained with cross-entropy(CE)***,when the label presents an intrinsic ordinal property in nature,e.g.,the development from benign to malignant tumor,CE loss cannot take into account such ordinal information to allow for better *** improve model generalization with ordinal information,we propose a novel meta ordinal regression forest(MORF)method for medical image classification with ordinal labels,which learns the ordinal relationship through the combination of convolutional neural network and differential forest in a meta-learning *** merits of the proposed MORF come from the following two components:A tree-wise weighting net(TWW-Net)and a grouped feature selection(GFS)***,the TWW-Net assigns each tree in the forest with a specific weight that is mapped from the classification loss of the corresponding ***,all the trees possess varying weights,which is helpful for alleviating the tree-wise prediction ***,the GFS module enables a dynamic forest rather than a fixed one that was previously used,allowing for random feature *** training,we alternatively optimize the parameters of the CNN backbone and TWW-Net in the meta-learning framework through calculating the Hessian *** results on two medical image classification datasets with ordinal labels,i.e.,LIDC-IDRI and Breast Ultrasound datasets,demonstrate the superior performances of our MORF method over existing state-of-the-art methods.

Self-Decoupled Square Patch Antenna Arrays by Exciting and Using Mixed Electric/Magnetic Coupling Between Adjacent Radiators

This article presents and develops a simple decoupling method for the planar square patch antenna arrays by virtue of mixed electric and magnetic coupling property. Since the resonant modes of TM10 and TM01 are a pair of degenerate modes in the square patch radiator which are intrinsically orthogonal, a superposed mode of them can be generated to possess consistent field distributions along all the four sides of the patch by adjusting the feeding position. By employing such superposed mode, the mutual coupling between two horizontally adjacent patch elements will become identical to that between two vertical ones, indicating an expected possibility that the complex 2-D decoupling problem in a large-scale antenna patch array can be effectively facilitated and simplified to a 1-D one. Subsequently, metallic pins and connecting strip are properly loaded in each square patch resonator, such that appropriate electric and magnetic coupling strengths can be readily achieved and thus the mutual coupling can get highly decreased. A 1 × 2 antenna array with an edge-to-edge separation of 1 mm, which corresponding to 0.0117λ0, is firstly discussed, simulated, and fabricated. The measured results show that the isolation can be highly improved from 4 dB to 17 dB across the entire passband. In final, 1 × 3, 2 × 2, and 4 × 4 antenna array prototypes are constructed and studied for verification of the expansibility and feasibility of the proposed decoupling method to both linear and 2-D antenna arrays.

Learning-based multi-view stereo aims to restore the real scene from multiple images with overlapping areas. The mainstream self-supervised MVS method trains the model based on the assumption that spatial points from different perspectives share the same color information. To further suppress the interference from specular reflection and illumination noise, this work proposes a self-supervised MVS network based on the consistency of synthetic-real image prediction. The network first applies the coarse-to-fine manner to gradually refine the depth map, and the source images are projected to the reference view to generate the synthesized reference image. Then the synthesized image with real source images are re-input into the network to form a cycled network, and the consistency constraint of the prediction results of the two periods is introduced to improve the color anti-interference of the self- supervised MVS model. The comprehensive experiments on the public dataset show that the proposed work can further improve the reconstruction performance of the benchmark model, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed work. © 2023 IEEE.
