Sentence ordering is the task of rearranging a set of unordered sentences into a coherent and logically consistent sequence. Recent work has primarily used pre-trained language models, achieving significant success in the task. However, existing sentence ordering corpora are predominantly in English, and comprehensive benchmark datasets for non-English languages are unavailable. Meanwhile, current datasets often insert specific markers into paragraphs, inadvertently making the logical sequence between sentences more apparent and reducing the models' ability to handle genuinely unordered sentences in real applications. To address these limitations, we develop C3LRSO, a high-quality Chinese sentence ordering dataset that overcomes the aforementioned shortcomings by providing genuinely unordered sentences without artificial segmentation cues. Furthermore, given the outstanding performance of large language models on NLP tasks, we evaluate these models on our dataset for this task. Additionally, we propose a simple yet effective parameter-free approach that outperforms existing methods on this task. Experiments demonstrate the challenging nature of the dataset and the strong performance of our proposed method. These findings highlight the potential for further research in sentence ordering and the development of more robust language models. Quaternion contains one real part and three imaginary parts, which provided a more expressive hypercomplex space for learning knowledge graph. Existing quaternion embedding models measure the plausibility of a triplet through either semantic matching or geometric distance scoring functions. However, it appears that semantic matching diminishes the separability of entities, while the distance scoring function weakens the semantics of entities. To address this issue, we propose a novel quaternion knowledge graph embedding model. Our model combines semantic matching with the geometric distance of entities to better measure the plausibility of triplets. Specifically, in the quaternion space, we perform a right rotation on head entity and a reverse rotation on tail entity to learn rich semantic features. We then utilize distance-adaptive translations to learn geometric distance between entities. Furthermore, we provide mathematical proofs to demonstrate our model can handle complex logical relationships. Extensive experimental results and analyses show our model significantly outperforms previous models on well-known knowledge graph completion benchmark datasets. Human motion prediction is of great importance for artificial intelligence systems, particularly in fields like autonomous driving and human-computer interaction. Existing methods have achieved good results in simple motions with small changes but still struggle with coherence in predicting complex motions with large changes in a short time. Regarding the issue in current methods, this paper proposes a novel network composed of three modules: spatial encoders that captures correlations between joints, temporal encoders that models the movement patterns of joints across frames, and a multi-frame temporal encoder that learns high-level temporal correlations to enhance prediction coherence. In addition, we propose to use Weighted Mean Per-Joint Position Error (WMPJPE) as the loss function by considering that different joints of the human skeleton have different effects on the entire action. We evaluate our method on the Human3.6M, AMASS, and 3DPW datasets. The quantitative results indicate that our method notably outperforms other methods in the prediction range of 160ms to 560ms. The goal of the timbre transfer task is to apply the auditory characteristics of one instrument to another instrument. Past timbre transfer methods faced numerous challenges due to the limitations of the selected generation model. These challenges include difficulties in training, ambiguous results, poor diversity, and slow generation speed. To address these issues, we propose a diffusion model for timbre transfer, DiffTimb, which can be combined with vocoder to achieve single-note timbre transfer. Unlike traditional models that require training a specific model for each pair of timbre transfers, DiffTimb enables the conversion of various musical instrument timbres received in a single model, namely, many-to-many timbre transfer. We compare two Unet-based denoising frameworks and propose two feature fusion methods to fuse timbre and pitch features. We conduct unconditional and conditional generation pre-experiments to verify the generation ability of DiffTimb. To improve the generation effect, we clean the Nsynth dataset and get two subsets for our task. Curvilinear Structure segmentation has numerous applications in various fields, including providing a better understanding of defects such as cracks on roads or walls, thereby assessing the structural safety of buildings. Numerous curve segmentation methods based on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN) have been developed in recent years. However, preserving feature integrity remains a challenge. To address this issue, this paper introduces a double dynamic network, called DD-Net, which consists of a dynamic structure for training and dynamic masking for inference. Firstly, to enhance the nonlinearity of the model, a paradigm to auto-adjust the CNN structure via a trainable module is formed for better fine-grained feature extraction. This dynamic structure (DS) paradigm enables a trade-off to extract or discard the feature data in the model training. Due to the data heterogeneity between the training and inference data, models may contain some useless nodes that are less effective during inference. The dynamic masking (DM) is proposed to omit the useless nodes based on the score difference between the train and inference feature statistics, thereby reducing redundant computations. To further improve the model’s performance on thin-curve segmentation and to preserve feature integrity, we introduce a non-curve suppression (NCS) module. This module focuses on background information while considering foreground prediction to address noisy conditions. The experimental results show that our DD-Net achieves promising results on three benchmark datasets and outperforms state-of-the-art curve segmentation models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In the field of natural language processing, Knowledge Base Question Answering (KBQA) is a challenging task that involves accurately retrieving answers from structured knowledge. Existing methods often face issues when generating query statements using LLMs, as the knowledge introduced may be imprecise and the models themselves may exhibit hallucination problems, leading to low accuracy, particularly when dealing with complex questions. To address these challenges, we introduce a novel semantic parsing approach called RGR-KBQA, which adopts a Retrieve-Generate-Retrieve framework. The first retrieval step introduces factual knowledge from a knowledge graph to enhance the semantic understanding capabilities of LLMs, thereby improving generation accuracy of logical form. The second step uses a fine-tuned model to generate the logical form, and the final step involves unsupervised relation and entity retrieval to further enhance generation accuracy. These two retrieval steps help alleviate the hallucination problems inherent in LLMs. Experimental results show that RGR-KBQA demonstrate promising performance on CWQ and WebQSP datasets. © 2025 Association for Computational Linguistics.

The processes of sowing and fertiliser application represent a significant aspect of agricultural production. In order to achieve efficient and precise seeding and fertiliser application, mass flow detection of seed and fertiliser particles can facilitate real-time monitoring and precise decision-making for intelligent seeding and fertiliser application. However, the diversity of seed and fertiliser particle types and particle flow modes presents a challenge for existing detection methods, particularly in meeting the varying operational requirements, especially for particle mass flow detection in low-altitude and high-speed sowing operations of agricultural drones. In such cases, the overlap and flow rate will have a significant impact on the detection results due to the large displacement and the continuous high-throughput dense phase of the particle flow. This paper provides a summary of the existing seed and fertiliser particle mass flow detection techniques and their underlying working principles. It compares the direct detection based on mass with the indirect detection methods based on velocity and concentration, and analyses their respective advantages, disadvantages and applicability. It also explores the possibility of optimising the existing detection methods for the specific needs of agricultural UAVs and considers the potential introduction of cutting-edge science and technology in order to develop an efficient, accurate and convenient detection system to meet the growing market demand. © (2025), (INMA Bucharest). This work presents an adaptive tracking guidance method for robotic fishes. The scheme enables robots to suppress external interference and eliminate motion jitter. An adaptive integral surge line-of-sight guidance rule is designed to eliminate dynamics interference and sideslip issues. Limited-time yaw and surge speed observers are reported to fit disturbance variables in the model. The approximation values can compensate for the system's control input and improve the robots' tracking ***, this work develops a terminal sliding mode controller and third-order differential processor to determine the rotational torque and reduce the robots' run jitter. Then, Lyapunov's theory proves the uniform ultimate boundedness of the proposed method. Simulation and physical experiments confirm that the technology improves the tracking error convergence speed and stability of robotic fishes.

BEVUDA++: Geometric-Aware Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Multi-View 3D Object Detection

Vision-centric Bird’s Eye View (BEV) perception holds considerable promise for autonomous driving. Recent studies have prioritized efficiency or accuracy enhancements, yet the issue of domain shift has been overlooked, leading to substantial performance degradation upon transfer. We identify major domain gaps in real-world cross-domain scenarios and initiate the first effort to address the Domain Adaptation (DA) challenge in multi-view 3D object detection for BEV perception. Given the complexity of BEV perception approaches with their multiple components, domain shift accumulation across multi-geometric spaces (e.g., 2D, 3D Voxel, BEV) poses a significant challenge for BEV domain adaptation. In this paper, we introduce an innovative geometric-aware teacher-student framework, BEVUDA++, to diminish this issue, comprising a Reliable Depth Teacher (RDT) and a Geometric Consistent Student (GCS) model. Specifically, RDT effectively blends target LiDAR with dependable depth predictions to generate depth-aware information based on uncertainty estimation, enhancing the extraction of Voxel and BEV features that are essential for understanding the target domain. To collaboratively reduce the domain shift, GCS maps features from multiple spaces into a unified geometric embedding space, thereby narrowing the gap in data distribution between the two domains. Additionally, we introduce a novel Uncertainty-guided Exponential Moving Average (UEMA) to further reduce error accumulation due to domain shifts informed by previously obtained uncertainty guidance. To demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method, we execute comprehensive experiments in four cross-domain scenarios, securing state-of-the-art performance in BEV 3D object detection tasks, e.g., 12.9% NDS and 9.5% mAP enhancement on Day-Night adaptation. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Lightweight 6-bit S-boxes with DPA Resistance

Lightweight S-boxes have a significant impact on cryptographic algorithms for resource-constrained devices in the Internet of Things (IoT). Previous research on such S-oxes has focused on low area and good cryptographic properties, which neglects the resistance to side-channel analysis, especially differential power analysis (DPA). The reVisited transparency order (VTO) is one of the best indicators for evaluating S-boxes against DPA attacks so far. Therefore, this paper presents a scheme for designing 6-bit S-boxes. The designed S-boxes are suitable for lightweight block ciphers and have a certain ability to resist DPA attacks. Specifically, we first identify 23 3-bit S-boxes with the optimal cryptographic properties and the smallest hardware area through systematic screening. Then, the paper investigates the constructions of lightweight 6-bit S-boxes based on traditional algorithm structures. Finally, a novel structure named F-LM-F is proposed for designing lightweight 6-bit S-boxes by combining Feistel structure and Lai-Massey structure. It has been proven through comparison that the S-boxes under F-LM-F structure achieve fewer fixed points and lower VTO than the 6-bit S-box of BipBip cipher, with a 17.61% reduction in hardware area and a 13.58% decrease in CPU cycles © 2013 IEEE.
