Monitoring black tea fermentation quality by intelligent sensors: Comparison of image, e-nose and data fusion

To scientifically and objectively monitor the fermentation quality of black tea,a computer vision system(CVS)and electronic nose(e-nose)were employed to analyze the black tea image and odor eigenvalues of Yinghong No.9 black ***,the variation trends of tea polyphenols,volatile substances,image eigenvalues and odor eigenvalues with the extension of fermentation time were analyzed,and the fermentation process was categorized into three stages for ***,principal component analysis(PCA)was employed on the image and odor eigenvalues obtained by CVS and *** least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA)was performed on 117 volatile components,and 51 differential volatiles were screened out based on variable importance in projection(VIP≥1)and one-way analysis of variance(P<0.05),including geraniol,linalool,nerolidol,and α-***,image features and odor features are fused by using a data fusion ***,the image,smell and fusion information were combined with random forest(RF),K-nearest neighbor(KNN)and support vector machine(SVM)to establish the classification models of different fermentation stages and to compare *** results show that the feature-level fusion strategy integrating the SVM was the most efficient approach,with classification accuracy rates of 100%for the training sets and 95.6%for the testing *** performance of Support Vector Regression(SVR)prediction models for tea polyphenol content based on feature-level fusion data outperformed data-level models(Rc,RMSEC,Rp and RMSEP of 0.96,0.48 mg/g,0.94,0.6 mg/g).

After completing the design of the rigid torso structure robot, the mobility and topology of the torso are fixed. As a result, it becomes challenging to meet the requirements of robots in multiple working conditions. By applying the torso structure of the reconfigurable metamorphic mechanism, we can address the above-mentioned problems in robot designing. In this paper, based on the reconfigurable mechanism design method of motion bifurcation, the 2-URU mechanism and its derived 8R-Folding mechanism are designed. The 8R-Folding mechanism is innovatively applied to the torso design of the wheel-legged robot, and kinematic analysis, model simulation, and prototype experiments are conducted. The results show that the robot can realize two deployments/folds, and the ratio can reach 3. The waist can achieve left and right rotation and up and down pitching effects after the folding process, allowing it to adapt to a variety of working environments. Process Evaluation, Tensile Properties and Fatigue Resistance of Chopped and Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites by 3D Printing

The aim of this article was to comprehensively evaluate the manufacturing process,tensile properties and fatigue resistance of the chopped and continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites(CFRTPCs)by 3D *** main results included:the common defects of the printed CFRTPCs contained redundant and accumulation defects,scratch and warping defects;the continuous fiber contributed to the dimensional stability and accuracy of width and thickness;associations between mass percentage of fiber reinforcement and the averages of elastic mod-ulus,strain at break and ultimate tensile strength were approximately linear based on tensile test results;the fati-gue resistance improved with the increasing fiber reinforcement based on fatigue test *** for specimens with four fiber rings,there was a good linear relationship between the stress level and logarithm value of cycles during the whole life while those of pure matrix and specimens with one and two fiber rings were piecewise linear,taking about 10,000 cycles as *** micro morphology showed that the fatigue failure behaved as matrix fracture,large and small fiber bundles and single fibers extracted from *** the tension-tension fatigue load,the deformations where easily concentrating stress behaved as sunken surfaces along thickness and width directions,and the deformation along width direction was greater than that along thickness direction.

Calibration and measurement method of PMD based on the optimization algorithm of swarm intelligent body

Traditional phase measuring deflectometry (PMD) systems encounter challenges related to the stability of calibration parameter optimization, often resulting in insufficient reconstruction accuracy and low computational efficiency. In response to this technical challenge, this paper proposes an optimization method for the two-step calibration of the PMD system based on a swarm-intelligent body optimization algorithm, aiming to significantly improve the reconstruction accuracy and processing efficiency of the system. First, a traditional calibration method is used for the initial calibration of the measurement system. Subsequently, the dung beetle optimization (DBO) algorithm—to our knowledge, a novel swarm intelligence optimization algorithm known for its rapid convergence and global search capabilities—is introduced to construct a multi-objective optimization model with the three-dimensional system reconstruction error as the objective function. By applying the DBO to solve this model, a set of optimal calibration parameters is obtained. Experimental results demonstrate that the DBO algorithm achieves significant improvements in both reconstruction accuracy and stability compared to traditional calibration methods, thereby verifying its effectiveness and practicality in PMD systems. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group. Diffractive lenses(DLs)can realize high-resolution imaging with light weight and compact *** DLs suffer large chromatic and off-axis aberrations,which significantly limits their practical *** many achromatic methods have been proposed,most of them are used for designing small aperture DLs,which have low diffraction *** the designing of diffractive achromatic lenses,increasing the aperture and improving the diffraction efficiency have become two of the most important design ***,a novel phase-coded diffractive lens(PCDL)for achromatic imaging with a large aperture and high efficiency is proposed and demonstrated experimentally,and it also possesses wide field-of-view(FOV)imaging at the same *** phase distribution of the conventional phase-type diffractive lens(DL)is coded with a cubic function to expand both the working bandwidth and the FOV of conventional *** proposed phase-type DL is fabricated by using the laser direct writing of grey-scale patterns for a PCDL of a diameter of 10 mm,a focal length of 100 mm,and a cubic phase coding parameter of 30π.Experimental results show that the working bandwidth and the FOV of the PCDL respectively reach 50 nm and 16°with over 8%focusing efficiency,which are in significant contrast to the counterparts of conventional DL and in good agreement with the theoretical *** work provides a novel way for implementing the achromatic,wide FOV,and high-efficiency imaging with large aperture DL.
