Liquid Biopsy Instrument for Ultra-Fast and Label-Free detection of Circulating Tumor Cells

Rapid diagnosis and real-time monitoring are of great important in the fight against ***,most available diagnostic technologies are time-consuming and labor-intensive and are commonly ***,we describe CytoExam,an automatic liquid biopsy instrument designed based on inertial microfluidics and impedance cytometry,which uses a deep learning algorithm for the analysis of circulating tumor cells(CTCs).In silico and in vitro experiments demonstrated that CytoExam could achieve label-free detection of CTCs in the peripheral blood of cancer patients within 15 *** clinical applicability of CytoExam was also verified using peripheral blood samples from 10 healthy donors and>50 patients with breast,colorectal,or lung *** differences in the number of collected cells and predicted CTCs were observed between the 2 groups,with variations in the dielectric properties of the collected cells from cancer patients also being *** ultra-fast and minimally invasive features of CytoExam may pave the way for new paths for cancer diagnosis and scientific research.

Based on SLM forming process, Inconel 718 alloy powder material was used to design and print test parts, and the test parts were treated with solution treatment. This article explored the effects of solution treatment temperature and time on the mechanical properties of Inconel 718 alloy. The results indicate that the solution treatment can effectively improve the tensile strength, yield strength and density of the parts. When the solution treatment temperature increases, the material brittleness becomes larger, and when the solution treatment time prolongs, the material toughness improves. The density of the material increased with the extension of solution treatment time and the increase of temperature. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This article proposes a miniaturized coaxial sleeve structure manufactured based on 3d printing technology for the first time. The resonant cavity consists of an inner column and a sleeve that is very close to each other. By reducing the distance between them, better harmonic suppression performance can be achieved without changing the volume. To verify these characteristics, a second-order single passband filter is designed, and the selectivity of the filter is improved by setting external coupling ports. The harmonic suppression multiple reaches 9.5 times and integrated printing is achieved by adding non-radiating slots. The 3d printing process can achieve the advantages of high precision and lightweight, ensuring good performance of the filter. Good agreements between the simulated results and the measured ones verify the feasibility of the proposed design method. © 2024 IEEE.

A millimeter-wave novel loading method to realize dual-wideband circularly-polarized (CP) performance based on a low-loss waveguide radiating antenna is proposed in this paper. The band-notching and CP characteristics can be achieved respectively by the simple loadings of non-radiating grooves and radiating stubs, while good impedance-matching is also achieved in a wide range. It can be seen from the simulated results that the proposed dual-wideband circularly-polarized antenna has the impedance bandwidths of 37% (25.3~34GHz) and 7.8% (37.49~39.77 GHz), and 3 dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidths of 29.6% and 5.95% in the lower- and higher-bands. Since the position of the introduced notch can be independently controlled by adjustable parameters, the bandwidth of the two frequency bands can be adjusted according to different applications. Besides, the simulated gains at 28 GHz and 38 GHz are 7.6 dBi and 6.9 dBi, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Polylactic acid (PLA) has good biocompatibility and biodegradability, which is widely used in fused deposition modeling (FdM) technology. But its disadvantages are also very prominent, such as low strength, and high brittleness. Stainless steel material has high mechanical properties and good biocompatibility, so PLA/stainless steel composite material has the advantages of both materials. In this paper, the effects of FdM forming parameters, such as nozzle temperature, extrusion speed, printing speed, nozzle height from the substrate, layer thickness and nozzle diameter, on the single-channel direct writing forming quality were studied from the angle of line height and line width of PLA/stainless steel composites. The results show that selecting appropriate FdM process parameters can effectively improve the quality of single-channel molding, and the printed lines have certain shrinkage. The ratio of line height to line width exceeds 100%. It provides a theoretical reference for the subsequent forming of PLA/stainless steel composite parts based on FdM. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, a novel Filtering Power divider(FPd) is proposed. This design consists of three parts: Marchand baluns constructed from two pairs of coupled lines and a terminal short-circuited stub, resonators loaded with two terminal short-circuited stubs, and two pairs of coupled resonators. This design generates four transmission zeros to improve selectivity. According to the design, good in-band isolation in the passband is achieved by connecting grounding resistors with two transmission lines at the central symmetry plane of the output ports of the baluns and coupled resonators. Simulation results show that this device achieves a 41% operating bandwidth, insertion losses of 9.57 dB and 0.52 dB, a power division ratio of 8:1, and a phase error of 1.8%, along with excellent in-band matching, out-of-band selectivity, and isolation. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we focus on the design of fault detection strategies for electro-mechanical flight actuators (EMFA) exhibiting strong nonlinearities and uncertain disturbances. We start by building a description of the EMFA dynamics, along with allowing for the effects of system nonlinearities and unknown disturbances. We next construct the system perturbation approximators from the type-II fuzzy logic system (FLS), which is capable of yielding effective estimates of the system's nonlinear terms and unknown disturbances. In the subsequent step, the resulting estimation errors are incorporated into the fault detection routine to recognize whether or not a fault exists in the EMFA. The stability analysis demonstrates that the perturbation approximator errors are amenable to converge within a small domain around zero. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed fault detection strategy is confirmed by numerical simulations and discussions. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In this article, a novel packaged highly selective out-of-phase filtering power divider (FPd) with multilayer stacked stripline structure is presented, In this scheme, a looped double-coupled line (LdCL) is used to achieve power division and isolation functions. A pair of striplines are added after the LdCL to form a half-wavelength structure, and the two output ports are placed at the ends of the LdCL to achieve out-of-phase. To verify the results, the structure was built using a multilayer stacked strip printed circuit board (PCB) and subjected to electromagnetic simulation analysis. The research results show that the working frequency band of the proposed out-of-phase FPd is 2.1~3.7 GHz, with the insertion loss S21 and S31 are belw 2 dB and a return loss of less than -15 dB, 55.1% 3-dB FBW(center frequency 2.9 GHz)and the phase difference is within 10°. Compared with existing research on out-of-phase FPd, the proposed FPd has the advantages of miniaturization, simple structure, and high selectivity. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a half-mode gap waveguide (HMGW) filtering power divider (FPd) based on spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) is proposed. The FPd construction is designed by using T-junction with HMGW and SSPP. In the proposed model, the combination of the low-pass characteristics of SSPP and the high-pass characteristics of HMGW enables the bandpass characteristics. The simulated results show that the frequency range of the proposed FPd is 18.8 GHz to 24.7 GHz with insertion loss of 0.8 dB. The in-band magnitude and phase difference of the two output ports are less than 0.33 dB and 2.9°, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

In-Situ Quality Intelligent Classification of Additively Manufactured Parts Using a Multi-Sensor Fusion Based Melt Pool Monitoring System

Although laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)technology is considered one of the most promising additive man-ufacturing techniques,the fabricated parts still suffer from porosity defects,which can severely impact their mechanical *** the printing process using a variety of sensors to collect process signals can realize a comprehensive capture of the processing status;thus,the monitoring accuracy can be ***,existing multi-sensing signals are mainly optical and acoustic,and camera-based signals are mostly layer-wise images captured after printing,preventing real-time *** paper proposes a real-time melt-pool-based in-situ quality monitoring method for LPBF using multiple ***-speed cameras,photodiodes,and microphones were used to collect signals during the experimental *** three types of signals were transformed from one-dimensional time-domain signals into corresponding two-dimensional grayscale images,which enabled the capture of more localized *** on an improved LeNet-5 model and the weighted dempster-Shafer evidence theory,single-sensor,dual-sensor and triple-sensor fusion monitoring models were in-vestigated with the three types of signals,and their performances were *** results showed that the triple-sensor fusion monitoring model achieved the highest recognition accuracy,with accuracy rates of 97.98%,92.63%,and 100%for high-,medium-,and low-quality samples,***,a multi-sensor fusion based melt pool monitoring system can improve the accuracy of quality monitoring in the LPBF process,which has the potential to reduce porosity ***,the experimental analysis demonstrates that the convolutional neural network proposed in this study has better classification accuracy compared to other machine learning models.
