Comparative Study on Soot Reduction, Soot Nanostructure and Oxidation Reactivity of n-heptane/DMC and Isooctane/DMC Inverse Diffusion Flames

Dimethyl carbonate(DMC)is an environmentally oxygenated compound which can be used efficiently for soot *** paper compared the soot reduction,soot nanostructure and oxidation reactivity from inverse diffusion flames(IDFs)of the hydrocarbon fuels,namely n-heptane and isooctane doped with *** of DMC additions on soot reduction were *** addition is more effective for the soot reduction of n-heptane/DMC IDF than isooctane/DMC *** morphology and nanostructures of soot particles were investigated by Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM)and High Resolution TEM(HRTEM),and the soot graphitization and oxidation reactivity were analyzed by X-ray Diflfraction(XRD)and Thermogravimetric Analyzer(TGA),*** results of HRTEM images showed that many larger aggregates were observed for the structures of soot particles from IDFs with DMC *** soot particles exhibited more liquid-like material,more amorphous,higher disorganized layers,and less graphitic than that of IDFs without DMC *** increasing of DMC blending rate,soot particles changed younger to have shorter fringe length,higher tortuosity,and greater fringe *** on the XRD and TGA results,the degree of the soot graphitization level decreased;the soot mass lost significantly faster,and the soot become more reactive.

Human beings perceive the world through the senses of sight,hearing,smell,taste,touch,space,and *** first five senses are prerequisites for people to *** sensing organs upload information to the nervous systems,including the brain,for interpreting the surrounding ***,the brain sends commands to muscles reflexively to react to stimuli,including light,gas,chemicals,sound,and ***,as an emerging two-dimensional material,has been intensively adopted in the applications of various sensors and *** this review,we update the sensors to mimic five primary senses and actuators for stimulating muscles,which employ MXene-based film,membrane,and composite with other functional ***,a brief introduction is delivered for the structure,properties,and synthesis methods of ***,we feed the readers the recent reports on the MXene-derived image sensors as artificial retinas,gas sensors,chemical biosensors,acoustic devices,and tactile sensors for electronic ***,the actuators of MXene-based composite are ***,future opportunities are given to MXene research based on the requirements of artificial intelligence and humanoid robot,which may induce prospects in accompanying healthcare and biomedical engineering applications.

In this paper, the consensus control against attacks for a type of nonlinear multi-agent switched systems under arbitrary switching is studied. The attacks corrupt the information data, which cannot be used for the feedback design. Meanwhile, the switching logic is not allowed to be designed. To tackle the complicated effects, some intermediate variables and adaptive laws are introduced to compensate the uncertainties. By constructing a common Lyapunov function, an adaptive protocol is proposed such that the outputs of the agents achieve consensus against attacks under arbitrary switching. © 2022 IEEE.

Developing Homojunction Exciplex For Efficient Multilayer Solution-Processed Organic Light Emitting Diodes

Exciplex has long been recognized as a mixture of donor and acceptor components. Here, for the first time, it was demonstrated that exciplex emission can also be achieved by single pure molecule, we named it as homojunction exciplex (ho-exciplex). By using the flexible alkyl chain to link the donor and acceptor unit, the result compound not only maintain efficient exciplex emission property, but also eliminate the notorious phase separation drawback. Different from the conventional heterojunction exciplex (he-exciplex), such unique molecular concept of homojunction system will provides a bright avenue toward structure-simplified and high-stable OLEDs without sophisticated stoichiometric and physical blending process. By using such a single molecular PhTRZ-CzTPA as both emitter and host, the solution-processed device achieved a comparable electroluminescence performance with its hybrid blending he-exciplex counterpart. Importantly, the unified molecule of PhTRZ-CzTPA makes it superior solvent resistance to isopropanol, which enable the fabrication of fully-solution-processed device with all spin-coated organic layers. Therefore, the homojunction strategy will open a new avenue for exciplex design and application, not only in OLEDs, but also other semiconductor devices or sensors. © 2022, The Authors. Cucurbit[n]urils (Q[n]s) are a relatively young family of macrocycles, consisting of glycoluril units bridged by methylene groups, and their unique structures have attracted extensive attention from chemists in recent decades. Due to the presence of a rigid hydrophobic inner cavity and two polar outer portals lined with carbonyl groups, Q[n]s not only encapsulate guest species into the cavity, but also coordinate with metal ions/clusters. Considerable achievements have been obtained in the fields of Q[n]s-based host-guest chemistry, coordination chemistry, as well as the combination of host-guest and coordination chemistry. Furthermore, the outer surface of Q[n]s has been demonstrated to be capable of interacting with definite species to generate supramolecular architectures in recent years. With more in-depth research into Q[n]s, their application studies have also emerged as a hot topic. This Minireview focuses on recent advances in the potential applications of solid-state materials based on Q[n]s and their derivatives for the capture and adsorption of hazardous chemicals from a solution or a gas mixture.

It is a challenge to develop high-efficiency, easy-recyclable adsorbents for the removal of dyes from environmental waters. Herein, we report the construction of two types of palygorskite (Pal)-polymer aerogels with distinctive hierarchically meso−microporous structure, which different polymer species—sodium alginate (SA) and chitosan (CS)—through the sol-gel method, cross-linking, and freeze-drying, for the removal of dye pollutants from water. A hierarchical porous structure of aerogel accelerates the diffusion of dye water. Notably, this developed strategy enables selective dye adsorption by tuning the polymer and component contents in the Pal-polymer aerogel. Indeed, the maximum adsorption capacity of the Pal-SA composite aerogel for malachite green (cationic) dye reached 2008 mg/g and that of the Pal-CS(Fe3+) composite aerogel for sunset yellow (anionic) reached 976 mg/g. In addition, the composite aerogels can be regenerated many times without significant loss of effectiveness. This work provides a new concept and strategy for dye waste-water treatment. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The gradual increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in the atmosphere has been recognized as a significant problem for humankind. CO2 flue gas is one of the most apparent contributing sources of emissions. CO2 capture and conversion are environmental-friendly and efficient ways to reduce atmospheric emissions of carbon dioxide from flue gases. Considering the traditional expensive gas purification process of low-concentration CO2, the low-cost capturing and electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (ECR) at low concentration by newly-developed carbon-based materials provide an attractive approach to convert low-concentration CO2 in flue gas into high-value fuels and chemicals. Developing and integrating carbon-based capturing and catalytic materials with an understanding of the mechanism has a promising future and will promote this technology toward practical application. This review describes recent progress in the design, preparation, and structural characterization of existing carbon-based materials for the capture and catalysis of low-concentration CO2. The crucial factors of capturing and catalysis performance of all the carbon-based materials are also summarized. Furthermore, the review presents problems and challenges of existing research and envisions research directions. We also discuss the prospects of the industrialization of low-concentration CO2 capture and ECR. The remaining technological challenges and future directions for the enhancement and application of carbon-based materials for CO2 capture and electrocatalytic reduction are highlighted. © 2024, The Authors. Microcantilevers are widely adopted in various fields for micro-mass sensing due to their simple structure and high sensitivity. The conventional microcantilever-based measurement methods required ultra-precision temperature control. However, such a requirement could hardly be satisfied and the temperature shifting would deteriorate the accuracy of mass sensing. In this research, a new temperature decoupling method for mass sensing is proposed by taking advantage of the relative relationship of the peaks in the impedance signals. Besides, a CBAM-CNN network with an adaptive weighted average preprocessing method is developed for the evaluation of the relative relationship of the peaks. This method can enhance the features of the impedance signal and highlight critical information with limited samples. Experiments showed that robust mass sensing with accuracy up to 99.70% can be achieved over a wide temperature range from 25 to 55 °C. In addition, the performance of the proposed network was compared to SVM, DNN, and CNN. This method offers a new mechanism for eliminating the influences of temperatures for precision cantilever-based mass sensing. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

For important local features were ignored by the convolutional neural network in Micro-blogs emotion analysis, and contextual information could not be fully learned by the recurrent neural network, a mixed model of KCNNBiLSTM-MA based on multi-feature fusion was proposed. The K convolutional neural network was used to obtain the important Topk features of the partial features of sentences. Then the sentence sequence information and context connection were got from different directions through bidirectional long short-term memory network, and the Multi-head Attention is added to its foundation thus giving more attention to the important parts. Finally, the different features obtained are fused for classification. The experiment proves that the KCNNBiLSTM-MA model has better performance than other emotion analysis models. © 2020 IEEE.
