Recently, Mao, Zhang, Wu et al. constructed two key exchange(KE) protocols based on tensor ergodic problem(TEP). Although they conjectured that these constructions can potentially resist quantum computing attack, they did not provide a rigorous security proof for their KE protocols. In this paper, applying the properties of ergodic matrix, we first present a polynomial time algorithm to solve the TEP problem using O(n^6) arithmetic operations in the finite field, where n is the security parameter. Then, applying this polynomial time algorithm, we generate a common shared key for two TEP-based KE constructions, respectively. In addition, we also provide a polynomial time algorithm with O(n^6) arithmetic operations that directly recovers the plaintext from a ciphertext for the KE-based encryption scheme. Thus, the TEP-based KE protocols and their corresponding encryption schemes are insecure.

In this paper, we revisit the global coordinated tracking problem of the leader-following multi-agent systems with input saturation via the scheduling low-gain feedback technique, aiming to make breakthroughs from aspects such as the heterogeneity of saturation level and the distributed characteristic of scheduled tuning algorithms on the low-gain parameters, that is the newly proposed distributed scheduling low-gain approach. First, we provide a continuous-time tuning algorithm for the low-gain parameter of each follower to articulate the fundamental idea of the distributed scheduling low-gain technique on addressing heterogeneous saturation, so as to solve the global consensus tracking of multi-agent systems with heterogeneous input saturation and one leader. Then, this result is extended to the global containment tracking of multi-agent systems with multiple leaders. Furthermore, from the perspective of reducing communication burden, we further propose a distributed scheduling low-gain parameter algorithm by using the sampled relative information between each follower and its neighbors, and offer the upper and lower bounds on the sampling period to ensure the achievement of global coordination tracking. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to verify the theoretical results.

Radio frequency identification technology (RFID) is widely used in identity authentication and payment, and it also becomes an indispensable part of daily life. Cloud-based RFID systems have broad application prospects, and can be provided as a service to individuals or organisations. For example, RFID cards can be used for cash-less payment, physical access control, temporary rights and identification in cloud environment. When an RFID card is used, there is a wireless transaction between the card and its reader, which could be attacked by several methods, including a relay attack. Relay attacks are difficult to completely prevent and a serious threat to RFID systems security. An attacker could use limited resources to build up this kind of attack and may need little knowledge of the underlying protocol. In recent years, researchers have proposed solutions using second channels to resist relay attack, such as using environmental measurements including noise, light and temperature. This paper describes research on the defence techniques for relay attacks in cloud-based RFID systems. The cloud-based architecture for RFID systems typically consists of RFID tags, card readers (fixed or mobile) and cloud-based server functionality. Copyright © 2019 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Valley pseudospins, as quantum states of energy extrema in momentum space, have been introduced from condensed-matter systems into classical sound systems, and several valley sonic crystals (VSCs) have been realized experimentally. However, in the existing VSCs, topological kink states generally appear in a single band gap, which apparently has become an obstacle for multiband topological sound devices. To overcome this challenge, we here experimentally demonstrate dual-band VSCs, in which robust valley kink states exist in two separated bulk band gaps. More interestingly, two opposite valleys separately located in two band gaps are locked to a single propagation direction, which arises from the fact that the bands below two band gaps show opposite valley Chern numbers at the K/K′ valley. This double valley-locking phenomenon has been demonstrated via measuring the topological refraction of the kink states into the ambient space at a zigzag termination. We observe positive refraction at the lower band gap, whereas the coexistence of positive and negative refraction at the higher band gap. Additionally, we observe the robust valley transport through the sharp corners at two band gaps. The designed VSCs with the dual-band topological refraction and robust valley transport could find potential applications in multiband and multidirectional devices.

Recently, researchers have employed a monotone-delay-interval-based Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) to investigate the delay-dependent stability of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with a periodically varying delay. However, this method is limited by its looped LKF structure and seems to ignore the benefits of partitioning the allowable delay set. To address this gap, a generalized allowable delay set partitioning approach is introduced, leveraging the definition of the allowable delay set and a region partitioning scheme, to analyze the stability of T-S fuzzy systems with a periodically varying delay. Our approach allows the construction of different LKFs in various partition sets. This flexibility, compared to existing methods, relaxes the structure of LKF construction and enhances the utilization of system state and delay function information. Subsequently, stability criteria, which exhibit a hierarchy, for T-S fuzzy systems with a periodically varying delay are derived. Finally, the efficacy and superiority of the proposed stability criteria are confirmed through two numerical examples and a practical truck-trailer system.

Identifying Alzheimer's disease-associated genes related to N6-methyladenosine modification as potential biomarkers through correlation analysis: A retrospective observational study

Alzheimer's disease is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive deficits and abnormal neurological activity. Recent evidence suggests that the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease may involve the abnormal expression of specific genes, particularly those associated with N6-methyladenosine modification. N6-methyladenosine is a common mRNA modification that influences mRNA splicing, translation, and stability, thereby regulating physiological processes and potentially contributing to neurodegenerative diseases. Our study aimed to identify and screen genes related to Alzheimer's disease, focusing on the METTL3 gene, a key regulator of m6A modification. We used a novel weighted metrics method that combines the METTL3 gene data with gene chip data from four stages of Alzheimer's disease samples through a Spearman-Cosine correlation weighing *** utilizing a correlation coefficient matrix strategy that integrates Spearman correlation and Pinched cosine correlation, we identified nine significantly differentially expressed genes associated with Alzheimer's disease. These genes, which are highly correlated with METTL3 during the transition from normal to disease states, suggest that m6A modification regulates METTL3 expression and affects the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease through multiple molecular pathways. Notably, our findings reveal a profound connection between m6A modification and energy metabolism, with observable effects on mitochondrial function, lipid metabolism, and glycolytic pathways. These genes, potentially serving as biomarkers, could advance the development of therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease. Our results highlight the importance of m6A modification in Alzheimer's disease and suggest that the identified genes could be used as biomarkers for early detection and monitoring of the disease. The clinical significance of our findings lies in the potential to develop targeted therapies and improve patient outcomes

Point-of-care testing (PoCT) method is suitable for rapid detection and daily monitoring of various acute diseases, which can effectively improve patients’ survival rates. Current lateral flow assay (LFA)-based PoCT systems, with insufficient sensitivity, cannot meet the simultaneous detection requirements of rare multiple biomarkers. Therefore, we developed an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) microchip-based PoCT system, realizing rapid and highly sensitive detection of multiple biomarkers. This microchip incorporated specific aptamer probes assembled working electrode (WE) array and a shared counting electrode;thus forming a two-electrode-based detection unit for initiating Ru(Formula presented) /tripropylamine (TPrA)-based ECL reaction. Integrated with photomultiplier tube (PMT) and a constant transient potential (TP) model, the PoCT system was capable of sensitively detecting three acute myocardial infarction (AMI) biomarkers-cardiac troponin I (cTnI), myoglobin (Myo), and creatine kinase MB (CK-MB)-on a single microchip within just 20 min. The system exhibited an excellent detection limit of 0.25, 0.05, and 5 pg/mL for cTnI, Myo, and CK-MB, in a wide linear range of 1– 1 µg/mL, 0.1–10 ng/mL, and 10– 1 µg/mL, respectively. Furthermore, the analysis of AMI biomarkers in mixture and serum samples was conducted with high sensitivity and specificity, as well as low crosstalk. The platform synergized high sensitivity of ECL with the multiplexing of microchip, thereby holding tremendous potential for application in PoCT. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Blockchain is well known for its storage consistency, decentralization and tamper-proof, but the privacy disclosure and difficulty in auditing discourage the innovative application of blockchain technology. As compared to public blockchain and private blockchain, consortium blockchain is widely used across different industries and use cases due to its privacy-preserving ability, auditability and high transaction rate. However, the present co-audit of privacy-preserving data on consortium blockchain is inefficient. Private data is usually encrypted by a session key before being published on a consortium blockchain for privacy preservation. The session key is shared with transaction parties and auditors for their access. For decentralizing auditorial power, multiple auditors on the consortium blockchain jointly undertake the responsibility of auditing. The distribution of the session key to an auditor requires individually encrypting the session key with the public key of the auditor. The transaction initiator needs to be online when each auditor asks for the session key, and one encryption of the session key for each auditor consumes resources. This work proposes GAChain and applies group key agreement technology to efficiently co-audit privacy-preserving data on consortium blockchain. Multiple auditors on the consortium blockchain form a group and utilize the blockchain to generate a shared group encryption key and their respective group decryption keys. The session key is encrypted only once by the group encryption key and stored on the consortium blockchain together with the encrypted private data. Auditors then obtain the encrypted session key from the chain and decrypt it with their respective group decryption key for co-auditing. The group key generation is involved only when the group forms or group membership changes, which happens very infrequently on the consortium blockchain. In the existing Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access power allocation algorithm, the iterative water-filling algorithm is a commonly used algorithm, which has good performance but high complexity. In order to reduce the complexity, this paper divides the power allocation problem of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access into two steps. Firstly, the water-filling algorithm is used to complete the power allocation between sub-carriers, then the greedy algorithm is used to allocate power to the superimposed users in the carrier. Many elements in the candidate power allocation coefficient set that are impossible to be optimal solutions are deleted by using the sum of power distribution coefficients of each user and the product of throughput, which effectively reducing the complexity. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a slightly lower performance than the iterative water injection algorithm, but it effectively reduces the complexity. The performance of the proposed algorithm is better than other traditional algorithms, and a good compromise between system performance and complexity is achieved. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Classification of Hyperspectral and LiDAR Data Using Coupled CNNs

This paper has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. In this paper, we propose an efficient and effective framework to fuse hyperspectral and Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) data using two coupled convolutional neural networks (CNNs). One CNN is designed to learn spectral-spatial features from hyperspectral data, and the other one is used to capture the elevation information from LiDAR data. Both of them consist of three convolutional layers, and the last two convolutional layers are coupled together via a parameter sharing strategy. In the fusion phase, feature-level and decision-level fusion methods are simultaneously used to integrate these heterogeneous features sufficiently. For the feature-level fusion, three different fusion strategies are evaluated, including the concatenation strategy, the maximization strategy, and the summation strategy. For the decision-level fusion, a weighted summation strategy is adopted, where the weights are determined by the classification accuracy of each output. The proposed model is evaluated on an urban data set acquired over Houston, USA, and a rural one captured over Trento, Italy. On the Houston data, our model can achieve a new record overall accuracy of 96.03%. On the Trento data, it achieves an overall accuracy of 99.12%.
