Deep learning methods have achieved remarkable results in the direction of image quality assessment tasks. However, most of the related studies focus only on image unimodal, ignoring the potential advantages that come with the development of cross-modal techniques. Cross-modal models have implied a wealth of information, which provides new research directions and possibilities in the field of image quality assessment. In this paper, the feasibility of cross-modal models in image quality assessment is first explored for the image quality binary classification task. Subsequently, the optimization prompting method is combined with the tuning of the image encoder in the cross-modal model so that the cross-modal model can be used for image quality assessment scoring. To verify the feasibility of the cross-modal model on the image quality assessment task, an empirical analysis was conducted on the binary image quality dataset PQD, and it was found that the F1 score improved by 18% over the baseline model. Further, we propose an adaptive cross-modal image quality assessment method AC-IQA. On the image quality scoring dataset, compared with the previous optimal methods, AC-IQA improves the PLCC and SROCC metrics on the TID2013 dataset by 5.5% and 9.5%, respectively, and on the KADID dataset by 6.2% and 5.2%. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

To solve the problem of ship heave motion in harsh marine environments, which affects the positioning accuracy and safety of its robotic arm, this paper adopts a PID parameter optimization method based on Tent cold light source improved sparrow search ***, utilizing Tent chaotic mapping to enhance the diversity of sparrow populations, and inspired by the fluorescence attraction effect in the firefly algorithm, this paper perturbs sparrows with a cold light source strategy to obtain better positions and improve their search ***, simulation experiments were conducted to optimize the PID control system using improved *** results showed that compared with the three population intelligent optimization algorithm, the improved algorithm had better convergence accuracy, system response speed, and ***, the improved algorithm was applied to the actual experiment of compensating for the heave direction at the end of a shipborne robotic *** comparison of the four algorithms in compensating for the height difference in the heave direction showed that the improved algorithm had the best heave compensation effect, reflecting the effectiveness of the algorithm in engineering *** provides a certain reference for the active compensation of swarm intelligence optimization algorithms in the heave direction of ships. © 2024 SPIE.

Recently, there has been widespread interest in arbitrary-shaped scene text spotting, showing notable progress in both speed and accuracy. However, common issues such as model complexity, slow inference speed, and challenges in deployment persist. For this reason, this paper proposes Weakly Supervised Point-collection Network (WSPNet) for arbitrarily shaped scene text, which adopts deformable convolutional single-shot network architecture to realize multi-branch parallel reading of text, and combines weakly supervised text line point sampling to realize sampling recognition and transcription of arbitrarily shaped text instances. To enhance the robustness of multi-scale fusion, we utilize the Text Feature Fusion (TFF) module to dynamically acquire key features at different scales during the fusion process. This approach aims to reduce discrepancies in scale fusion. Extensive experiments on arbitrarily shaped benchmarks show that WSPNet achieves competitive accuracy and speed. For example, the proposed method achieves an end-to-end text recognition F-measure of 63.4 on the Total-Text dataset at 35.5 FPS, which is competitive with the best results in terms of speed and accuracy balance. © 2024 SPIE.

Photovoltaic power generating is one of the primary methods of utilizing solar energy resources,with large-scale photovoltaic grid-connected power generation being the most efficient way to fully utilize solar *** order to provide reference strategies for pertinent researchers as well as potential implementation,this paper tries to provide a survey investigation and technical analysis of machine learning-related approaches,statistical approaches and optimization techniques for solar power generation and *** learning-related methods,in particular,can theoretically handle arbitrary nonlinear transformations through proper model structural design,such as hidden layer topology optimization and objective function analysis to save information that can increase forecasting accuracy while filtering out irrelevant or less affected data for *** research’s results indicate that RBFNN-AG performed the best when applying the predetermined number of days,with an NRMSE value of 4.65%.RBFNN-AG performs better than sophisticated models like DenseNet(5.69%),SLFN-ELM(5.95%),and ANN-k-means-linear regression correction(6.11%).Additionally,scenario application and PV system investment techniques are provided to evaluate the current condition of new energy development and market trends both domestically and internationally.

Entity alignment (EA) aims to match identical entities across different knowledge graphs (KGs). Graph neural network-based entity alignment methods have achieved promising results in Euclidean space. However, KGs often contain complex local and hierarchical structures, which are hard to represent in a single space. In this paper, we propose a novel method named as UniEA, which unifies dual-space embedding to preserve the intrinsic structure of KGs. Specifically, we simultaneously learn graph structure embeddings in both Euclidean and hyperbolic spaces to maximize the consistency between embeddings in the two spaces. Moreover, we employ contrastive learning to mitigate the misalignment issues caused by similar entities, where embeddings of similar neighboring entities become too close. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in structure-based EA methods. Temporal knowledge graph completion (TKGC) seeks to develop more comprehensive knowledge representations by addressing missing relationships and entities within temporal knowledge graphs (TKGs), thereby enhancing reasoning and predictive capabilities in downstream tasks. Nonetheless, real-world knowledge—such as the progression of social network interactions and the unfolding of news events—is inherently dynamic, resulting in substantial sparsity issues in TKGs that profoundly impair the performance of TKGC models. To overcome this challenge, we introduce the Adaptive Neighborhood Enhancement Layer (ANEL), a novel module that can be effortlessly integrated into existing TKGC models to substantially elevate the representation quality of sparse entities. ANEL first derives initial entity embeddings through a base model and then uncovers concealed semantic relationships between entities via a latent relation module, enriching the explicit relationships within the knowledge graph. Furthermore, ANEL incorporates an adaptive latent information adjustment component, which dynamically calibrates the influence of latent information based on the entity’s relational structure: entities with fewer connections derive greater benefit from latent information, while entities with denser connections become less dependent on latent augmentation, ensuring precise and resilient representations. We conducted comprehensive experiments on four prominent benchmark datasets, and the results underscore the effectiveness and superiority of ANEL in TKGC tasks. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Texture defect detection has wide applications in both textiles and industry, where traditional defect detection methods focus on costly manual labeling and defect samples are complex to collect in real-world industrial scenarios. Furthermore, labeling errors are common in datasets from industrial scenarios, and the problem still needs to be explored. Therefore, we propose a novel texture defect detection method. It has two stages;the defective samples are synthesized in the first stage. In the second stage, we represent normal samples using a self-supervised learning method. Then, we construct a single classifier based on this learned representation. Subsequently, the model is trained to distinguish between normal and defective samples within the embedding space. To increase the robustness of our method, we adopt a novel strategy to construct defective samples and compute the feature similarity through a similarity-weighted aggregation method to achieve defect detection, which is more robust to noise. Experimental results on the DAGM2007 dataset show that our method performs comparably to the leading texture defect detection methods without label noise. In contrast, in the presence of noise, our method can effectively minimize the impact of noise on model performance. © 2024 IEEE.
